Ordered one of these for myself and the pink and black one for my wife. The jackets are what you should expect. The price is great and the quality is good. Don't look for the high end protection as far as the padding goes in a jacket at this price. You are not going to get kevlar protection. But for what I paid, I am very happy. I wanted a light airy long sleeved jacket to wear on cool mornings and this one fits the bill just fine... Can't go wrong on this item.

I purchased this jacket about a month ago. Very pleased overall and the ventilation is fantastic. Riding in 95F conditions is much more bearable than in my Xelement leather jacket. I'm a L/XL and the 2XL purchased provides for plenty of room. The armor features are nice but, like others, I question the positioning of the elbow armor if something happens as they move around quite a bit. I doubt you can find a better jacket for the money.

On Sunday 09/22/2013 I was involved in and accident. A driver slammed on her brakes in front of me and I had to drop my bike to avoid rear ending her.

THE GEAR I WAS WEARING SAVED MY LIFE !!! When I had to drop my bike I rolled 6-7 times on the road and the jeans didn't even tear. Now the jacket is toast, but my insurance co. is going to get me another one. I went home instead of staying in the Hospital. All I got was a fractured knee and some nasty scrapes on my elbow. I am alive thanks to the Xelement gear I was wearing.

Bought one last summer and was wearing it when the road rudely went left and I didn't. My legs really got beat up and I'm still hurting, but there wasn't a mark on me above the waist. Momma said no more riding so I gave it away. She relented, and after getting another bike, first thing I did was buy another of these. I'm 300 lbs and 6ft tall, a 4x is nice and snug. Sure, they are a bit warm when idling at a red light on an air cooled bike; but once you get going you forget its on and you're nice and comfortable. I recommend this!

On Sunday 07/14/2013 I was involved in an accident...5 broken ribs, broken collar bone, and a broken thumb, not to mention road rash. I purchased the Men CF-511 after reading some of the reviews from other NC riders, and got it at the same time my bike was getting out of the repair shop. Can't believe it I wore the Jacket for the first time in 90 degree HEAT, and I felt cool with the breeze that came through the Jacket. The Jacket keeps the direct sunlight off your skin and you are actually cooler with the Jacket on than without it. I only wish I was wearing it on 07/14/2013. I know diehard Harley riders want to be in shirt sleeves, however after you experienced road rash that will change. This Jacket the Xelement CF-511 is a great product for the price and I'd recommend it to anyone riding a cycle.

Jacket fits well, and the armor is well placed. The material inside the jacket is a little bit scratchy on the skin, but not overly uncomfortable. I like the fit in the back of the jacket where it drops down to cover more of the lower back. There are quite a few snaps to customize the fit of the jacket that make it worth the money. The entire jacket does breathe, so wearing it on a chilly day may not be the best plan, but with warmer weather it is great.
