Fast shipping and best price. Thanks Leatherup.com! I like the jacket and I only have 2 complaints. 1 is my own issue with a long beard and velcro at the collar heheh. The other is a design flaw IMO. Why would they put knit cuffs on the mesh part of the jacket?? That's so annoying. Put the knit cuffs on the removable thermal liner, NOT on the mesh jacket :(
The 1st jacket was defective. The liner didn't zip out all the way like it shoud. I sent it back & it was replaced & sent back to me quickly. I bought the jacket for my boyfriend cause I didn't like him riding with short sleeves. I also bought a jacket a few onths earlier & loved it. This jacket is well made & comfortable & looks good. I decided on this jacket due to the good reviews I read about it. And, they are all true. I would reccommend this jacket.
The jacket is very airy with the mesh with the color hard to find a light colored jacket that has those features for the money. Works well in summer and fall.
Keep it up!!!
Only armored jacket I have used but it has filled the bill. I especially appreciate the comfort the silver color and mesh airflow afford me here in Arizona's sun and heat.
Decent jacket really serves its purpose well. I ride in 95-105 weather in Texas and it keeps me nice and cool (when cruising). At a stop I heat up a bit but that's to be expected in this heat. I've only had it a month and the inside mesh is starting to rip at the seam (at the top of the jacket). Other than that can't go wrong for the price. I'd recommend to anyone looking in this price range.
This jacket is actually great, but if I'm going to be nitpicky... one of the liner sleeves refuses to stay in place with the snap for some reason, and one of the adjustable snaps on the outside of the sleeve is missing after just a week of use (not sure if it came this way or not). Otherwise, this has been a great comfortable jacket the last few weeks.
Not only can I ride in safety and comfort with my bargain rate Xelement Silver Igniter Tri-Tex Fabric and Mesh Motorcycle Jacket ... it matches the silver of my GOLDWING GL1200. Anyway you slice it, it's a cool combination!
I am 6' tall, 195 lbs with a 34" sleeve and 42" chest, and an XL fits fine with room for more underneath in cold weather. I haven't used it without the liner due to the cold weather, but I think it will ventilate well when it gets warm. I hope I don't have to use the jacket for it's intended purpose, but I think this is a good value for the money.
Pretty good jacket for the price with coupon, I'm 5/8 160 lbs and got a large, fits good, loses a star for the cuff/sleeve lining. Why put a heavy cuff on a light weight jacket? But the jacket fit me pretty well, and the armor is not to bothersome for such a light jacket. So like another reviewer I took a pair of sharp kitchen shears and cut the cuff down to under 1/4 inch. you need to leave some material because the snap for liner is attached to inside base of cuff. Still privides some elasticity but is a heck of a lot easier to get the jacket off and on. Build quality seems decent but not top notch, OK for the price. Only time will tell how well/long the jacket holds up...
Jacket looks great but came with 3 black smears on back side. I called to find what I could use to clean it with but they wanted me to return it for exchange...
I bought this jacket as my first Adventure riding gear. It fits nicely, is very warm in my 35 to 40 degree late winter climate, and doesn't flap in the wind. The price and free shipping couldn't be beat. I was a little leary of these things and wondered what I would get for the money...what a pleasant surprise!! At this price, I feel that even if I (God-forbid) do a slider, I can replace it and still have my skin in tact without breaking the bank.
I have had the jacket for about a month now and seems like a good quality jacket. The legnth of the torso could be longer because on me I'm 6'5 and it sits right above my belt line. Jacket is good for I'd say 60 degrees and above with the liner other wise you might need to wear somethin else underneith the jacket for more insulation. Jacket was worn in about 70 degree weather with out the liner and it was extremely comfortable and well vented since most of the jacket is mesh. Hope this helps.
Nice jacket. I don't have much use for the liner, but keep it in the saddle bags just in case. I wish it had standard waist level pockets, but I can live with the chest level.
This is a very nice jacket and the zip out liner is convenient. It fits snug for a a 2XL, but fits none the less. Simply speaking a great buy one c annot afford to passup if they need a jacket to ride in.
Bought this Xelement light-colored textile jacket for hot weather riding down south - I've been mauled by cars several times and I don't ride without protective gear anymore, no matter how hot it is. The silver/whiteish color also helps car drivers see you, I presume. The liner helps a lot when the temps drop a little, or at night. Fits great (6', 215 lbs, "athletic build", bought a 2XL) with enough room to move and fit a hoodie/etc underneath if required. Good price - delivery from Leather Up seems to take about a week. Only con is the lack of reflective piping which is commonly found on textile bike jackets.
Wow, I ordered this not knowing really what quality to expect and I'm blown away. In the offroad world I usually live in, a jacket of this quality would cost 3x as much. Be advised though they run really small. I'm 6'4" and 210 lbs, wear a 44L jacket and a 17 1/2 x 35" dress shirt. I ordered a 3XL and the sleeves are spot on but its just barely right in waist length. Rode to work 50 miles in 40 degree weather today and stayed warm. Great deal! -Lane (Bend, OR)
Nice Jacket for the money. Kept me warm on some cooler rides since i bought it earlier this year. Not too hot so far during these HIGH temp days either. Good air flow through it without the liner.
Very nice jacket, runs a bit small/short. I bought the 2X since I typically like "bigger" clothing as outerwear (normally wear an XL shirt) but could easily have gone with the 3XL.
I had a black jacket just like this but it was too hot when I wasn't moving. THis one is much cooler.
Great ventilation for hot Florida summer days. Good value. Seems to be constructed well and is very comfortable. This jacket is worth a look.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
