I have always bought Red Wings, because they were made in America and were of great quality. I was disappointed when my favorite boots were now made in China. I decided to try the Xelement boots because they looked to be of similar construction at a less expensive price (than Red Wings), and because of good reviews. I am not at all disappointed! These boots are of equal quality to the Red Wings I have purchased in the past, they are comfortable and and look like they will wear well.
Ordered a 10.5 but a 10 would have been a better fit. I'll double up on socks. Pretty good quality for the price. I'm content. I wanted a pair of steel toe boots for riding and this fits the bill for a reasonable price.

I ordered a true to size fit based on the reviews I read on this site. The fit was right, but the toe is very comfortable. I wore them around the house for a few days to see if they would break in a bit with no success. Nice boots, but the toe is just way too small. I would like to send them back for a refund, but since I got these on sale, the shipping will cost half what I paid for them. The construction seems very good, but I would not recommend these boots because of the steel toe is so small.

I have had these boots for 5 seasons (about 20K miles) and they are perfect for me. I wear a size 10, got a 10.5 instead for larger socks, found the 10.5 fits perfectly. Every foot is different so the steel cap may not be for you but I had no issues. I'm getting ready to buy a new pair of these- not because I need a new pair, I want to have a spare in case this model goes out of production. I like them that much.
Great pair of boots. i wear them to work daily and ride my scoot with them. Comfortable as hell once you wear them for a couple of days. i have to put a couple extra holes in the buckles to tighten them up. the tread is aggressive but not to much and wears amazing! You can have these re- soled but at 90 bucks why bother!! best pair of steel toe engineer boots I've owned.
Just got them yesterday, so cant say anything about durability or longevity. Most reviews mention fit a bit bigger than it should be. A few mention tight toe box. my personal experience is both are right. Buying shoes online is a crap shoot. You can try on a particular size and it will be too small. Try a different pair the same brand in the same size, and the fit is perfect. Thats why I hate buying shoes and boots online. I seem to have lucked out though somewhat. The boots go on and off real easy. They did not stain my socks as bad as a pair of Carolinas recently did. I have a bit more foot slop in the back of the boot than I would like. I have to experiment to see what I can do about that. The toes do not have quite as much room as I was hoping for. Its not bad though. I wore them for a 10 hour shift today (Im a maintenance mechanic) and had no issues. I recommend getting the size you normally do. Dont try to compensate for toe room by going larger. You may very well be able to walk out of these boots rather than have to pull them off. Bike riders will swing their leg over the seat and be left with only a sock on that foot. Just be prepared to take advantage of leather-ups exchange policy. I will try to give an update to this in a few weeks if anything else comes to mind.
The price was certainly right! Look good, very durable, definitely happy with my purchase. My only complaint would be the slightly loose fit. Toe is comfortable but a bit too much room in the heel.

Excellent quality, very durable. My son wore the heck out of his first pair of these boots and only had to get new ones because he grew out of the first.
These boots are awesome and what a price! They gave me a blister at first but after a few days I got 'em broken in and now they are super comfy. The leather is creamy and soft up top and sturdy down below. They will continue to look good as natural wear and tear distresses them more and more. These bad boys are highly recommended.
I ordered a size 11 and they are true to size but a little on the narrow side.

These are a great buy, I usually wear a 10 and they are a little loose but I put a cushioned insert in them plus wear a little thicker socks and they are working well.
