This Jacket is so Nice, OMG! I think it is the hottest Jacket I own and I have a lot of Hot ones. It is so Quality, smells like a new car, is heavy, warm, and protective. You will impress anyone in this thing. All of my friends have said it was hot. I am 6'3" 195 lbs I ordered the XL, and it fit perfectly. I am on the slim side, but the jacket looks very good on me. I can wear a sweater underneath it, and it would probably be a little too snug, but its great. I love it, and you will too!

I really like this jacket, great value and very well made. It's a heavy jacket and all protection pads can be replaced with even stronger kevlar pads. I did take off all orange zip tags, but besides that great quality. I am 6-1 with around 210lbs, ordered a 2xl which fits great, maybe an xl would have fited better but. I am pleased with the 2xl. With vents open it is gets cool when riding on long rides. I've only had it for a couple of months and i am completly found of it. Shippings was super fast, excellent service.

I really like the look, and fit of this jacket. I get lots of comments on it, and the venting is downright excellent for a full leather.

However, I've held off on my review for about a year because I wanted to wait and see how things held up.

Not long after receipt of the jacket, I had to return it because one of the sleeve vent zippers failed. Leatherup.com was awesome, and replaced/repaired it. That said, it was only somewhat fixed. I was able to maintain it from failing by just being really cautious with it. The failure in this case is that the end of the zipper where it meets the sleeve comes unzipped from the base. Once this happens, it's not possible to get it to rezip. So, I let it be, the price was great, and I was able to keep that zipper stable, even though it clearly wanted to do the same thing it had in the past.

But, then...just a couple of weeks ago, I reached across my chest to unzip the pocket and grab my key, and I'm left holding the zipper pull in it's entirety. Not just the fabric pull, but the WHOLE THING just broke off of the zipper. Sure, these are YYK zippers, but they must have been the absolute cheapest YYK zippers available. Just terrible.

I am likely going to take this jacket to a local shop that does leatherwork and see if I can't simply replace ALL of the zippers with some high quality zippers. This is likely to cost me at least $100, driving the overall cost of this jacket up to $300.

Bottom line: If the zippers on this jacket were of good quality, I'd be giving this a 4 or 5 star review. As is, I just can't give it more than 2 overall, despite other awesome qualities of the jacket.

I really like this jacket, great value and very well made. It's a heavy jacket and it has definitely kept me warm this winter even when the temps in the morning are in the high 20's. I did take off all orange zip tags after the 1st time I rode with it. I am 6-1 around 280lbs stocky build with a little around the middle. I ordered a 2xl which fits a little tight around the middle. Maybe an 3xl would have fit better but. I am pleased with the 2xl. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and I am almost completely satisfied with it. My only issue is the cheap vent zippers, these are YYK zippers, but they must have been the absolute cheapest YYK zippers available. I am very carful to open and close the vents as to not tear anything.

Based on initial impression everything looks awesome on this jacket. Yes maybe the pulls are a bit overdone but considering the price/value I can either remove them or take a sharpie to them.

Now lets get to the size issue everyone is talking about. 1st when I called I was told the measurements you see are the jackets measurements not what yours should be.

Now instead of useless comments like I'm 8 foot 3 and weight 450lbs and the XXXXXL super tall fits me like a glove let do some useful size comments.

I am 6' tall, Weigh 185, Waist is 36", Chest is 42", Belly is 37", Arm is 33" hanging by my side (Center of neck across shoulder down to wrist bone).

I normally wear a Large Tall due to long arms but decided (Based on it running larger than average comments and them being sold out of Large) to try dropping to a medium which was in stock. With a heavy flannel lined button up shirt the jacket is on the tight side of a perfect fit. Pull the liner throw on a t-shirt and its on the loose side of a perfect fit. Sleeves hit my hands right at the knuckles when at my side and at about an inch and a half past the wrist bone in the riding position. Front waist is an inch below my belt line and the crack of my but in the back when standing. No Dolly Parton boobs when sitting in the riding position and back is good. Armor hits me perfect. hope this helps. I know I made the correct decision by going with a Medium so as the many notes say it does run a little big. Oh and yes the arms are supposed to be long.

By this jacket you will not be disappointed. If you are then either you got one that slipped by quality control or you just can't be satisfied and are to anal. Face it its a 199 dollar jacket (which based on my experience looks and feels like one twice that) that is mass produced.

This is a beautiful, stunning grade leather, well-made, well-designed jacket! I have been looking for a really nice jacket for over 1 year now. I've tried many of them, but nothing got even close to this one!

Size - The measurements are of the jacket and not the body, so keeping that in mind, it is absolutely true to size. I measured some of my jackets and my self and decided to order a medium, as I prefer it to be snug. I'm 6' tall, with long arms. My chest is 45" and my waist is 39". For my body, I would prefer it to be a bit narrower at the waist line, but it is still great.

The armor is extremely comfortable. It is not a hardcore, hard plastic, but it gives you significant protection, without putting you in a cast or making you look like an android!

The matte finish of the leather is just supple and superb! I see a lot of people complaining about the zippers . . . I see no problem at all with them. They are smooth and easy to use. Naturally, in certain areas (under the arm vent) where the zipper area is not straight, you have to expect that ANY zipper would require a bit more attention to run smoothly, and if you don't give that attention, you will break ANY zipper. There are no magic zippers!

I ride two different bikes: Yamaha R1 and a Yamaha Stryker, and this jacket works fantastic with both, in both positions: upright and leaning.

The elasticized leather panels are well placed and work great, giving you all the range of movement you need.

The linings (both the padded and vented ones) are extremely comfortable, and well made. The padded lining is easy to take off/put in.

Another highlight are the cuffs, with both zipper and velcro tabs - no cold air goes in there!

This is a very versatile jacket that is nice and warm for the cold days (I ride through the winter in the NE) and with all the vents, can be easily used on the 80's without felling like you are in a sauna.

Looks amazing, fitting is amazing, finish is amazing, and the price is absolutely a steal!

Leather Up customer service is also great! The packaging was carefully done, and shipping was as promised: next day, since my order was later in the day.

This was a major Home Run! Highly recommended! The best riding jacket I have ever seen/tried!

Awesome Jacket! Leather is very tough and at just over 7 pounds its a hefty article of clothing. Running a little large in the shoulder and torso, it will be great for colder weather jacket to layer up. The jacket has a concealed carry pocket, and is a little awkward to take out the gun. When the liner is removed you lose 2 interior pockets, and as stated above its a little large in the torso, chest and belly. So many vents, keeping you cool. I love the longer arms, it will keep you covered while riding. All things said, I love this jacket. I like the extra room in the torso, other jackets make me stand at "attention".

I was very pleased with this jacket. I don't know much about motorcycle gear and was buying it for a Christmas present for my husband who is very picky. I was so pleased when it fit him perfectly and he loved it. It stretches in the right places, has plenty of pockets and vents and is thick and tough with good armor. I got one for my son as well and he loves it. Both men are 6 feet tall but my son is about 170 lbs and I ordered a large. He nornormally wears a medium shirt. My husband is about 220 lbs and normally wears an XL so I ordered XXL. The fit was perfect on both. Great bargain since I got a $20 thank you gift after the first order so used it toward the second one. Both super nice jackets for less than $400. You just can't get that kind of deal anywhere else.

Received the jacket last night and it is going back today. Two problems. 1. Jacket is not black, it is a dark brown. Not a big deal. 2. The jacket smells really bad. I tried airing it out overnight in the garage, but the smell will not go away. I tried it on and my cloths stunk afterwards and had to be washed. Leather should be a fantastic smell. I love going into a leather goods store and smell all the leather. The jacket smells like rotting goat meat. It unacceptable. The fit was good, although the sleeves are long, but I understand why. The orange stitching is not optimal, but for the price I could live with it. The jacket is heavy. Great for motorcycle riding. There are no shoulder pads, just elbow pads and bad pad. The deal killer is the terrible smell.

This is my first jacket. Purchased this according to the reviews and design, also for cool weather riding seasons. I used it for my MSF beginner course. It was early march in VA, temp were hovering 50s. I am wiry 130lbs, 5'6", suit jacket size 38. Bought a S. Fit great, although a bit loose around tummy. Long on the arms, cover up to half of my fingers when standing with arms at the side. On a bike its fit perfectly. Look great and feel great. Material needs to be broken in. Feel a lot of pinching pressure near the elboes and forearms, perhaps due to the leather being stiff. Heavy. Pockets are great. Liner keep me warm while traveling at 20mph with a cold winwind blowing. The neck isnt long enough to block out the wind so I do feel the cold around that area. My disappointment were that the jacket left arm button which hold the liner left sleeve in check is already torn off. The top most binder patch, to keep the sleeve more or less tighten, looked like it was from a previous used jackey. The front main zipper liner get caught half way up, so I have to zip it carefully without gloves. Would have return it for exexchange but I dont want to pay the shipping cost. Nice jacket over all, got compliments, work well, and do give me a sense of safety.
