This is one great jacket at a great price. It was worth the wait. The sleeves are too long for me. I'm 5'8"@ 195 lbs. 2X is fitting me in the chest and shoulders and length like the sizing chart said. Thank You Leatherup.
Pros: Overall, great 3 season jacket. Handles below freezing rides into work but also has good air flow during the warmer weather.
Cons: Had to return the first jacket due to a defective zipper. Original order was for a large. Another large was available, so I ordered while waiting for the first to be returned. Received second jacket that read "L" on outside tag, but when inner liner was removed, saw that it was an XL. Inner stiching on collar was also coming undone, but I needed a jacket so decided not to return
The Jacket is Awesome!! I totally recommend it. I am 150 lbs at 5"7 and the small fits perfectly.
I bought this jacket for my husband a few weeks ago, we had waited over 5 months for this particular jacket to be back in stock. When it finally came in I ordered it with no hesitation. It arrived promptly, and in perfect condition. It was everything he had hoped for. Great quality leather, heavy, and stylish. He is 6'2'', 200lbs and the large was perfect! (sleeves were a little short, but we were expecting that, as it is a common problem he has.)
I ahve had one for roughly 8 months. The zipper on the right sleeve broke and the mesh lining is coming undone in various places. Small tears. I did go down about 10-15 miles an hours due to a cold track tire. The leather on the right arm is scrubbed pretty hard where it hit the road. The armor worked fantastical tho, cuz I actually hit pretty hard.
I am happy with the jacket, but after looking at the abrasions, the leather is actually worn all the way through at the padding and the abrasion marks look like it is vinyl, not leather.
First of, sizing is a bit on the loose side. I got an xl but their xl is a bit looser than the typical american cut jacket like icon. The sleeves r unusually longer as well.
The leather quality is excellent n heavy.the stitching is of high quality. The left top zipper is failing on me already. Lots of vents. They even have vents under the armpit area which is awesome. Had a chance to wear it in a 90 degrees weather n it was still towable with all vents zipped open. The torso is tapered so it gives you that european cut look. All n all, it's a good jacket. It could be better if they use better zippers
Wait for this jacket again stock a long time ... The jacket is very good quality at low cost, high quality leather. The waist is maybe a little big, and may import costs are expensive, but worth every $ you spend on it. just need to keep enjoying it on the road...
I love this jacket this is the second jacket i got from leather up and have been completely satisfied each time this first jacket has been through hell and looks as good as new their prices can't be beat the same jackets at a motorcycle shop are sometimes double the leatherup price haven't owned a vulcan before but so far i am very impressed with it i would suggest you snatch these up quick i wear a 2xl in my other two jackets and they fit well but i can't wear heavy clothing underneath so i bought a 3xl which really isn't that whole lot bigger and it looks really good on me and im able to wear heavy sweatshirt underneath it if i need it but the inner thermalmix has been sufficient so far i'm waiting to see how the ventilation works in the heat i live in san antonio texas so it's mostly heat down here over all its an awesome looking jacket the orange stitching is sweet looking i've had so many comments on this jacket i'm simply overjoyed with the look and feel get em before they run out . I would say if you wear a 2xl and they run out go ahead and get the 3xl you won't swim in it or anything it fits almost the same just the sleeves are a little bit longer which is good for riding with your arms stretched out or you have long arms like me.
I was very leary about ordering this online as I was afraid it would not fit. I wear a 44 long in a suit, 6'3" and 190 lbs. I ordered the XL and it fits perfectly! Good quality leather and it looks totally bad-$#*!. I love it! Before you buy, do a Google search for leather up coupons. I found one for 10% off and it worked!
I love this jacket this is the second jacket i got from leather up and have been completely satisfied each time. I haven't owned a vulcan before but so far i am very impressed with it. I would suggest you snatch one up quickly. The leather is thick and supple and has a nice flat finish. The orange stitching and reflectors really pull the look together. The quality of the jacket is top notch. I like the extra long sleeves. They keep cold air out when riding. Of course, LeatherUp.com is the best site to buy from. I looked at several online sites and LeatherUp.com offered the best price and free shipping. An easy 5 star rating for both the jacket and the site.
Nice looking coat but should of ordered a size smaller. Size chart is not correct. Sleeves are way to long and the chest is much larger then size indicates. Also had a defective zipper on one of the chest air vents.
Leather is really stiff, but I liked the look. I'm returning the large for a size smaller since it feels like I'm swimming around in it. I'm 5'9" 165 and a large was a bit too large. The small black zippers seem like poor quality compared to the big beefy ykk zipper that closes up the front. Not really a big fan of the vulcan zipper pulls which make you feel like you've got vulcan post it notes stuck all over you while you're riding. Overall a nice jacket
I was very impressed by the appearance and fit. I'm 5'10",about 170lb. with a 32" waist and wear a 42 REG. in a sport or suit jacket. I ordered a LRG.(size 42) and it fit just as I hoped it would. I wore it the 1st time with the liner in it over a T-shirt and sweatshirt and it felt very comfortable with ample room in the chest, armpits, and arms. I would have to agree with another reviewer and say that the external pocket and vent zippers are not worthy of a jacket of this quality. If these zippers were more heavy duty,Vulcan could turn this "great" jacket into an "awesome" jacket! In spite of this minor flaw, I would still recommend this jacket - just be careful when zipping and unzipping the external nylon zippers. The jacket was shipped and arrived promptly,so I have no complaints with LeatherUps customer service.
Absolutely great jacket! Very high quality leather, great stitching detail and awesome cold weather liner. Sleeves, are definitely too long for the fit of the body, wish they were a bit shorter. Overall good fit though!
Though the jacket is supremely stylish and well built, both the medium and the small run extremely large. So, for those of you who are on the smaller side like me (5'9", 145 pounds) you may want to look for another jacket. Even the small feels like a large. My old Wilson buffalo-hide jacket is marked a medium, and "technically" shares the same dimensions, but it is dwarfed by the "small" Vulcan; indeed, it fits inside of it! I would give this jacket a five star rating, but I've had to send back both the jackets I've gotten because of sizing problems.
The jacket feels and looks great. Have a lot of vents all over that prevent you from geeting to hot. One of the zippers broke after the 3rd try not happy about it and the sleeves are to long for the jacket size. wil not buy another Vulcan jacket again any time soon.
I like this jacket. A little on heavy side Though! Perfect for California winters. In summer, you have to take off the inner liner, open all the zippers (vents) then it will be kind of ok.
It is a really good looking jacket and serves my purpose.
I love my new jacket, once I took off most of the silly zipper pulls. Fits well except the arms could be shorter as people have already noted. Build and features are top notch though...very happy with it.
This jacket is one of the best that I now own. The quality is outstanding. I have found absolutely NOTHING wrong with this jacket. Some guys have said that the sleves are too long. It meant to be that way Dummy's it's a bike jacket, not a beach coat. Anyone considering this jacket, BUY IT, you won;t be disappointed, unless you are stupid. Keep up the GREAT items, L U. I'm sold on every purchace I have made so far. Tom Clayton, Cranston R.I.
I have wanted this jacket for over two years and have been waiting for it to be in stock again. I ordered it and it arrived within days (Great job shipping department). I was really a bit confused by the sizing of the jacket and read all the reviews, which didn't help clear up the confusion much. So, I ordered a L. I am 5'10", 192lbs, so I gambled that it would fit. It fit perfectly. There was much talk about the jacket sleeves being long in the reviews. I was also a bit concerned that the waist was loose while not on the bike. Both of these issues were settled by sitting on the bike. The sleeves were perfect for riding, and the waist sealed to keep air out. So, for those with concerns about the sleeves, let me say this: This jacket is a riders jacket, not a fashion jacket. When off the bike, the sleeves can be tightened at the wrist to keep it from covering the hands. The finish and constrution of the jacket is as good as my $450.00 Arlen Ness jacket. Oh, and it is nice and warm with only a t-shirt on underneath when the temps are in the mid 30's.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
