I have wanted a jacket like this for 40 years! I always thought they cost too much and the ones I saw in the store were. I looked on line for over a week before finding leatherup.com. What a bargain. Living in the Carolinas I don't really need the fur colloar, but if I lved up North I definately would have it on. The fact that it's detachable gives you great options, The same way as for the zip out liner. Its a great jacket, it fits great, and looks like one costing hundreds of dollars more. The leather is soft and durable. I love the leather smell. My other leather jacket is a police patrol-rated style motorcycle jacket made of very thick-heavy leather. It is good for protection on my motorcycle, but is uncomfortable in the car or just being outside. This is an outstanding product. Beautiful. I expected the worst, but when I opened the box, I was amazed at the quality. The leather is soft and extremely flexible. It hangs nicely. The zip out liner is very warm. I give it 4 and 3/4 stars. The only reason that I took off a quarter star is because the little buttons and hooks used to hold on the fur collar and the liner at the arm holes are too small for my fingers and they are tedious to take off and put on. They should have gone with snaps or velcro. The color is perfect. It looks exactly like the picture. Good job.

Better than I expected for the money. The leather is very soft and and supple, and the removable collar and lining add flexibility. The only nits I can find to pick are (1) I wish the zipper was a little larger size - it's smaller than on most outerwear jackets, and can be difficult to grab; and (2) the buttons that hold the lining are attached loosely and on my jacket one fell off in the first week of use. But I am so pleased overall with this I'm still giving it five stars.

I ordered this for my husband about a month ago. It arrived within 4 days of my order - WOW - and he's absolutely thrilled with it. He has made numerous comments about the quality, color and fit being perfect. I am very pleased with this purchase and the price was exceptional. The leather is definitely soft to the touch, the jacket is well made and it's nice to have the detachable lining and collar. Thanks LeatherUp! (I should order myself one too.)

I gave this jacket 4 stars, mainly because I couldn't give it 4 1/2. I ordered an Xlarge, as I wear a large shirt and it fit like I wanted, not tight, a little loose like a jacket should. It looks good, not great, but darn good. I like it and I am picky about leather jackets. I was looking for a real winter coat/jacket that will keep me warm in COLD weather, and this jacket will do it. I wish I had found this site months ago before I finally gave in and bought what turned out to be an inadequate cold-weather jacket from Macy's for about $60 (on sale during the spring). This jacket really is worth double the price. Go for it.

I have read in other reviews that the shopping experience was great, and it was no different for me! This jacket is of superb quality! It is definitely warm with the liner in it (I live in Colorado and I got it just before winter, very good choice!). It was indeed the brown I expected, not too light or dark. It turned a few heads and started some conversations, though I didn't buy it for that. I just wanted a good leather jacket that was tough and stood up to the outdoors as I seem to be in it often. If you are considering this jacket, by all means buy with confidence. Shipping takes some time, but that in no way is related to the quality of this jacket! For me, it was worth the week and a half wait. Order early, be patient and wait for it. I read that I would not be disappointed; whoever wrote that was right! I will be purchasing here again as I have some friends who are interested. I will probably be purchasing here for a very long time to come. Thanks LeatherUp!
