The company has garnered a solid reputation for product quality and value, with many customers expressing satisfaction with their purchases, particularly in terms of craftsmanship and timely delivery. However, customer service experiences reveal a significant concern regarding slow response times and difficulties in handling returns and refunds. While some customers eventually received resolutions, the inconsistency in support has led to frustration. This is a good full face helmet for the money. The mechanism to open the front is a bit funky and hard to open, but it is still a goo secondary helmet.
Overall, a great buy for the price, but sometimes you get what you pay for in the small things. The shield had some kind of funky film on it that would make it fog up really bad, not a big deal, except when I went to unscrew the face shield hinges on the sides of the helmet, the plastic screw cap broke right off. Doesn't affect the safety or general use of the helmet, but frustrating no less. Also, the chin strap is really tight and almost impossible to operate with gloves on. The shaded visor also doesn't come down far enough. Overall good buy, but it's got plenty of room for improvement.
Es muy bueno y llego rapido. Lo unico malo es que la mica transparente no se porque se mancha o le sale algo que no es de muy buena calidad, por lo demas es buena compra por su precio.
Just as described. The flip all the way back feature is nice, but makes it heavy in the back of your head. fits great, easy to open and flip down the shade and I love the flat black look. the vents are great. I used it in a snow storm on my ATV with the visor opened to the first click cause it is not really made for cold weather and started to fog up in the closed position, plus I wasn't going fast to get the air moving through the helmet. I am very happy with this helmet. I looked at a lot of different modular helmets and am happy with my decision. THANKS LEATHER UP !!!
Received a few weeks ago. The quality seems good. The inner shield as others have said should come down a little more. I rode with it a couple of nights ago and when I stopped at lights it fogged up the visor. When I started moving again it cleared up. I might have to mess with the vents but otherwise the helmet fits snug and with open face position it feels like a regular helmet. Best of both worlds. Definitely worth the money.
Husband loves hi new helmet, amy be a lil heavy to actually ride w it flipped backwards. Had issue w shileld, Leather Up fixed the issue quickly and completely.
I usually wear a 58-60 cm Harley open face. I ordered the L and it hits great. Rode 120 miles today with this helmet and was completely comfortable the entire time. Very happy with this purchase
Arrived quickly. Everything checks out, great helmet for the price.
Ok. This is my second HAWK helmet. The ones my wife and I had before were recalled. I do like HAWK so I stayed with them. Great decision! I purchased two helmets (one for me and one for my wife). As always, they arrived when expected.
The test drive was interesting. I am a size M. It is a snug fit. It hurts my ears to take it off. Not as much if I spread the helmet apart, but it is tight. That said. due to this tightness, the helmets block out sound 10 times better than our old helmets. As they are so snug, I also feel more secure wearing this helmet and that my head will survive impact.
I bought it for the 3 stage visor. I love that it flips all the way back, and the sun visor is darker than our last helmets. I also love the chin warmer protector thingy that keeps my chin warm.
*** QUICK NOTE: There is some kind of residue on the both visors and they should be washed before using.
2 downsides: One of the times taking it off, one of the front panels popped off. It took some work, but I got it to snap back in place. The other problem is opening the helmet. I am hoping it will be easier the more it is used, but still a pain in the $#*!.
The last gripe is that it only comes in matte black. I would love to see this helmet come in brighter colors for those of us that like to be seen.
Overall, great helmet and I recommend it.
Helmet arrived very fast. I followed the suggestions for sizing and I am happy with the fit. I am extremely happy with the quality of the helmet. I will certainly do business with leatherup in the future. Great product for a great price. Thanks Leatherup!!!
My first helmet. At this price, good luck beating it. My biggest complaint is the chin strap. i wish it was a traditional D ring instead the the mechanism they use.
As usual it arrived very quickly. Love the helmet so far, Using the measurement guide it was a perfect fit. Only complaint is that sometimes it is hard getting the release for the full face to release but it does release. The tinted visor works very well for me, I don't need sunglasses.
We received our helmets and we absolutely love them!!
The helmet arrived on time. Fit is snug , appearance is nice . My wife's first helmet and she is very satisfied with it. Makes her feel very safe & good looking. Durability is yet to be known.
1st modular helmet some wind noise. I wear glasses this helmet & shade screen work fine. 1st day out rock hit chinguard glad I had helmet on would of taken out a tooth for sure. Very balanced doesn't feel heavy waiting for it to rain to see how it does.. Way better than a full face I can open & talk to people., I bought a large that's what I take in other helmets it fits fine.
Very nice helmet at a great price. The quick connect/release chin strap was a much appreciated bonus.
I can't quite say anything as for the durability yet. What I can say is that the sizing was right on the money and these are nice helmets. Comfortable and relatively light. Also made in the USA for half the price of the higher asian made brands. We bought 3 and all 3 fit exactly right off of the measurements. 100% would recommend to a friend and already have as a matter of fact.
I gave the pants 4:5 stars primarily for a size chart issue. I found that I had to return the size small for a medium, even after ordering directly from the manufacturer size chart (I'm a 29" waist; 39" hips; 32" inseam; 135#). When the size small pants arrived, the waist was almost 1 1/2" too small, and the hips were uncomfortably snug. The size medium I exchanged them for is perfect. The inseam is easily adjustable to my height, the waist has enough adjustability to accommodate not having the rain layer in currently, and they pass for stylish enough that I don't feel mannish. Venting is excellent for thermo control, but I have forgotten the removable piece at home, leaving me a bit chilly in the AM. I'm not a fan of the tramp stamp looking reflective design on the removable venting section, but given the rest of the fit/style/function is great, I figure I'll live with it. An additional slight hassle stems from the inability to secure the kneepads to the proper position and not have them slide down at times.
I absolutely love these pants! Just what I have been looking for. They fit great and the quality of them are the best.
Solid Jacket. Should give 4 season protection here in SoCal. I'm commenting to help those trying to make a sizing decision. After reading quite few reviews, I decided to go a size down as Joe Rocket seems to be generous with their sizes. In normal clothing, I'm a Large size in T-Shirts, Sweaters, Jackets, etc. For this though, I ordered a Medium and it fits like a glove. I'm 5'11&3/4 and weigh in about 190. My suit size is 40L and I wear 34/35 Dress shirt size. I hope this helps anyone out there trying to find the right size. The Medium was a perfect fit for me. The armor on this thing are legit in the shoulders and elbow, however the back protector is basically a thin boogie board foam material. I went and picked up some more solid back protection (if you want to buy online, look for a 445mm by 340mm piece. All in all, Im stoked with this product and do recommend it. Great protection, looks good, is incredibly comfortable, and you have quite a few options in terms of how to wear it, not to mention the amount of sizing straps.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
