LeatherUp Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a solid reputation for product quality and value, with many customers expressing satisfaction with their purchases, particularly in terms of craftsmanship and timely delivery. However, customer service experiences reveal a significant concern regarding slow response times and difficulties in handling returns and refunds. While some customers eventually received resolutions, the inconsistency in support has led to frustration. Overall, while the company excels in product offerings, enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of customer service would greatly improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

I bought the Outlaw T-75 helmet from them and the first one the trim fell off.The second one i bought from them the strap broke within a week.

I sent like 4 emails communicating with someone who asked for photos ect, but it was easy to figure out i was getting the run around.

They said they were going to give me a decision Monday on whether they were going to replace the helmet, that was 2 weeks ago and they haven't returned my last email since.

I have been a leather.com customer for just over 3 years. The X******* boots look like plastic from the beginning. The leather is cheap bonded leather not full grain as advertised. The "leather" began to peel after 3 weeks of daily wear with absolutely no abuse. I didn't even wear them anywhere near my Harley. Leatherup refused to help and said I must have exposed them to high heat which they never were. Real leather won't peel from daily wear or from exhaust heat as leather up claims it will (welders and other professionals who work near high heat wear full grain leather for protection because of its heat and Fire resistance). If they had just admitted that the product was inferior I wouldn't feel so cheated, but they want to blame the customer for their bad product. Worthless company.

I bought the helmet bluetooth combo. The helmet has been fine, but the bluetooth came in a ripped package with parts missing and obvious scratches seen when turned on.
I told them about it, and they sent the missing pieces. After the battery dropped to 50% i decided to charge it. It doesntturn on now. I called and after a dozen messages with customer service, the rnd result was "its outside of warranty, too bad, so sad". When something costs 80$ i expect it to work more than a few uses

I purchased 4 items. 3 items arrived. The tracking number lite all 4 items as being delivered. When I called, the rep said that the 4th item was being shipped from a different warehouse... give it 48hrs. After 8 days, no email, text or call not to mention a new tracking number. I spoke with "The Manager" who was rude and offered no explanation as to why I was lied to about the availability of the 4th product. Nor did she or he or what ever it wanted to be called didn't offer an apology or discount on the purchase or future purchaces. It simply acted entitled which is all to common in California these days. So sad to see. Powe to the people! I'll never spend anot her dime with these snow flakes.

Jacket Exchange
September 21, 2018

Good quality merchandise. Problem is, their RMA system is archaic. You have to search on their site for a link that prints a return label, that you PAY 9.99 for. Then, when they get the merchandise, they had to contact me to pay for that label.

It's 2018. There has to be a better way...

I've had mixed experiences with LeatherUp. Most purchases were OK with a couple exceptions. But their website has drastically changed recently. My account is gone so I can't see my purchase history and I guess I've lost points that I earned through purchases. Even more important, there aren't any reviews of their products like there were previously. I rely heavily on reviews when buying products and won't buy something if I can't read reviews.

How can it ship if it is out of stock? Have to wait days for a refund. They took my money the thursday i ordered. What a joke. No supervisor there to talk to. Said they will have someone call me but not counting on it if no supervisor is there on a monday.

I've ordered boots, vest, and a bag from them. The boots were off by two sizes and the vest was off by at least one. That would be ok but they make you pay return shipping ($35) in my case. They sent an email claiming the order had been delivered but they didn't include the bag in the order and customer service won't respond as usual. Their prices and promises of quality look great on their website but it's all a facade after you realize the items are poorly made (if you even get them) and it costs you half the price of the items you did get in order to return them. Ignore the reviews on their site. They are created by the company itself. Avoid these people or you too will regret it.

I purchased a helmet from LeatherUp, which was the third helmet I bought from them. In the past I took off the cheesy stickers on the back of the helmet so that makes it look much nicer. I peeled off sticker and pulled off some of the matte. When I called, they basically told me too bad, so sad. I bought numerous products from this company, but this will be the last purchase ever make. There is no warning that peeling off this sticker would damage The helmet.

First of I ordered 2 hawk com 2 Bluetooth sets. I let the ordered be delivered priority mail 3-5 business days no problem. That was on a Friday after 7pm customer service closed for weekend. Problem package arrives and only has one set but states order complete. I email them pictures of everything and call the following Monday to clear up error. Tuesday I called and finally talked to manager and other set sent priority mail but she states that oh it will be there Thursday. I stare if not then sent return label because gift is now late and since they refused to overnight it like I asked on Monday because the error was clearly theres no value in ever dealing with these people ever again. Thursday of course no package and a bit of attitude from manager that we never upgrade shipping even though we screwed up your order. So if you want to waste your money on a site that doesnt value you or even get you what you pay for then LeatherUp.com is perfect for you.

15 day old boots
June 13, 2018

Boots Purchased and worn for 16 days and rivets separate from leather
The boots were ordered on 20 May 2018 and delivered on 23 May 2018, I wore the boots for 15 days and on the 16th day my pants leg got hung on the boot and I looked down and a rivet had separated form the leather. I contacted Leather Up customer service and explained the issue and sent pictures. I explained to customer service that based on only owning the boots for 16 days I felt the quality of the boot was questionable and instead of repairing that I would like to replace with another style and I would pay the difference in price. I received the following email.
Dear Customer,
The manufacture company will replace the piece that has been damage and will refund the amount that you pay for repair. Item can not be replace because it has been worn, in order for us to refund the amount of repair the manufacture needs a copy of the receipt. If you have any questions please contact us at *******010.

These boots have several rivets on them I really dont know how long the rest will last. This is why I requested another style.
I just want to return the boots and receive credit towards another pair of better quality
Dear Customer,

Warranty only covers In house repair and unfortunately that all we can provide since the boots are use. Please let us know if you want us to ship the missing piece.

Thank you
Buyer Beware

They use cheap leather and Sheet materials I believe. I have purchased a leather jacket that had an inferior leather and the snaps and liner are falling apart. I have a pair of boots with a zipper on the inside and I took one boots it's a zipperhead broken to a cobbler to have it fixed two and a half weeks ago at about 4 days ago my other boots zipper broke. Thankfully I bought a new jacket that has American leather an American-made that is far superior! True it was more money but I'd rather pay a little more and have better quality in something that's going to last a long time. My jacket and boots lasted about 2 years. And I would also like extra leather on the left foot for shifting

Wish I had seen this site before my husband ordered a pair of chaps for our granddaughter. Ordered through Amazon for her birthday. By the time she opened and tried them on, we were outside the 30 day return window. Called the company directly because we didn't want our money back - just wanted to exchange. They will not do exchanges if ordered through amazon. Customer service is terrible. Save your self the hassle and buy from someone else.

Along with others, the jacket ddn't fit my daughter! How these people are still in business blows my mind reading the other reviews! I was told by some man there that I could take it back to Walmart I had no idea what he was talking about, turns out Walmart had something to do with them. I tried that & they said I couldn't do it. When I called them back & talked to VAL she said I couldn't get my money back but she extended the time frame a little. Then I lost 3 family members within 2 months & VAL, was so cold hearted that she wouldn't even let me return it for store credit. Now I'm stuck w/a $75.00 bike jacket that I can do nothing with! Please don't buy from this company! They're deceiving & they lie & they accuse you of lying! It's B. S. That's all!

Wrong Sized Shirt
February 4, 2018

I ordered the men's brown leather Xelement XS942 shirt in a XXL. The shirt I received is barely an XL and we measured me correctly before ordering the shirt. The shirt I received was laid out and measured and based on their sizing chart it is barely an CO and all measurements are roughly 2 inches smaller than what the COX is listed as. I am trying to exchange it for a XXXL in hopes of getting one I can wear. Depending on the customer service i change my score.

I have bought several items from this company and was satisfied until... I purchased a Xelement Heated Leather Motorcycle jacket. The shipping is slow, I opened the box and the vent zipper on the left sleeve was not sewn together so I followed their "return" instructions. Well, we got online to get the return label and the ONLY option was $50 to return ship at my expense. I returned it and had them send me another and this time the right sleeve vent zipper was not sewn together so we waited FOREVER on the phone and started a refund. 2 weeks later and a ton of emails behind us and I have been "issued" a refund which, after 3 days still has not landed back in my account. So, I bought a jacket, it was defective, I paid $50 to return it, the next one had the same problem so I returned it and still no money in my account. And, I paid the annual fee to be a V. I. P. Member to get a discount.
This company SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS.
