I would not recommend correction I would highly not recommend using this service the company they sent out to cut my lawn never edged weed whacked fully leaving mohawks in my lawn. Extreme waste of money Considering they charge way more than their service provides. I had to call a second company to come 6 in finish what they Left Behind. After spending $40 for a cut with them. I searched on Google and found LawnStarter when I needed lawn mowing service for my investment property in Garland, Texas. I saw their ad that you can get your first mowing for $19 and decided to give them a try. Well, I wish I had read the latest review here first before I ordered their service. They are not a lawn mowing company but a marketing company and sent your information to other lawn service company who will do the work but share the charge with them. They did not charge me $19 but over $50. In their argument that the grass was over 6 inch tall. They also told me that I had to use their service at least three times. The second time they sent me text message and told me that the lawn was mowed last Thursday. I went to my property on Friday and found out no service was performed and the grass was still tall. They texted me and asked for feedback. I told them about it, attached all pictures and rated it a one star. No one ever contacted me back. Today, I saw they charged my credit card again. So, I asked them why they charged me without performing the service. I was told that I had to call them back within 4 days if I did not get my service. Be careful what you are paying for. I paid the money and did not get the service. I wish I had seen the latest review on them first before I placed the order. Will not do business with them any more.
Dealing with Lawn starter has been the worst experience of my life they have no professionalism when it comes to being on time and doing their job right I own a corner property and my lawn is huge they sent 1 person to do a 3 person job while cutting my grass he runs out of gas for his equipment and he had the nerve to ask me to drive him to the gas station to get more gas. I will never ever use them again and I do not recommend them to anyone period point blank...
I set up an account to have them take care of my yard, with just a mow and a quote on some extra work. They ended up having to reschedule my cut and quote, meaning they would have to charge me more considering the grass would be taller by the time they got there. Nobody shows up and I recieve a message from Marcus. Stating that my extra work would be 225 dollars. I asked if they had even seen the yard yet because I've heard nothing and havent seen them once. He responded with " look at the amount of work, I'll come and see"
I'm sorry, but you giving me a quote on a yard you've yet to visit, when its maybe 8x 12 feet, and telling ME to look at the work you never even looked at is extremely unprofessional. I'm sure the quote may have changed once he saw it was maybe an hour job with a team, but that's not the point. I'll find someone more personal.
I'm giving 2 stars because I did not get the chance to see the quality of their work, but had things been done the right way the first time I wouldn't be leaving this review.
Terrible crews & awful customer service. Constant promises to make things right & then abruptly cancels account. Never again.
If you live in a small town they do not have provider. So don't give them your information. Big mistake
These people are the epitome of a bad joke. They quote you a price after thoroughly viewing your property on Google Maps. Upon arrival they complain the quote is too low and will do the job this time but will be passing it on to another lawn starter affiliate who can cut the grass for the price quoted. Your next lawn service is supposed to be completed in two weeks, however, it took them 3 weeks to show up again! When he did show up, he cut only half of the front yard, and none of the backyard explaining the price of $25 is too low, so they only cut 25 minutes worth of yard and left! At this point my grass has grown over 6" because it took them 3 weeks to show up and we are getting those daily summer showers. We will not be posting anything else on Nextdoor or any other site to get people to fall for this crappy business. They are not professional, amateurs and a complete waste of time!
We recently Purchased a home that had been vacant for a period of time. We wanted lawn cut, dethatched and aerated plus three bushes that were too close to the house removed. Two individuals arrived. One stayed with a small walk behind rotary mower and a ryobi battery powered edger while the other drove away. The one person mowed for about 1 1/2 hours and left the lawn about 2 1/2 - 3 inches high. He then needed an outlet so he could charge the weed eater which ran out of charge twice. After 2 1/2 hours the second person arrived at which time they chopped the juniper and one over grown shrub down loaded them in the pickup and a time home built trailer, took some photos and left without dethatching or aerating the lawn. Before they left they acknowledged they hadn't finished and said they would be back to complete the agreed upon job. We were charged $744.00 by these crooks who said the crew had pictures showing the completed work. Lawnstarters does the billing and collection of funds then pays the "landscapers". We've complained to the corporate representatives and their response was that we are S. O. L. Do not use this company and their un vetted fly by night crews!
My lawn was scheduled to be serviced, the crew sent a message confirming the date along with a time. The day came, the time came, 2 hours later still no one. I sent a message to check on things no response contacted the support with no response. Made it to the end of the day still no response phone call, text message nothing. They have you agree to 3 cuttings before canceling but my 1st they couldn't get right. Do not use them they are unreliable and lack communication skills
They don't need "starter" in the name when they never show up to being with. Was recommended by a friend called and was told they would arrive Monday. Never showed up. Tuesday I get a text saying trucks were in the way & couldn't get to my lawn. Really? I have a 4x4 and don't have any trouble. When I call to see when they will return they tell me two weeks. Well $#*! that! You don't get my money you lazy excuse makers. Do not use this company unless you want to fund the lazy & useless.

The customer service provided by the customer service team was good... However, I started the service on 8/6 and was given a date range of 8/10 thru 8/11 for my first mow. The crew member texted me on Monday saying he would be out around 3m but never showed. I contacted him again 8/11... he ignored my text and cancelled the mow. Lawnstarted rescheduled me for the following monday 8/17. I have an HOA and prolonging a grass cutting is not an option. DO NOT try this service if you are looking for a reliable landscaper!
The service started out great. Then they missed a week. Then they didn't do half of our lawn. We contacted them about this and they said they were under the assumption that wasn't part of our lawn. NO REFUND WAS GIVEN. Then we asked for a weed service all they did was weed eat the weeds none were pulled killed some of our expensive plant's hydrangea, mondo grass, wildflowers, etc. They also broke two of our outdoor lights and didn't weed half of the house we still have weeds climbing up our house in the flower beds. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. We applied for a property damage claim and was denied saying we didn't specify. We are in the middle of a pandemic and you expect me to follow the worker around and tell them every weed to pull. Plus when I filled out the form there was nothing about the use of a weed wacker in the information.

I enrolled and setup an account with these guys in Mid July. Scheduled my first cut for the following week. They rescheduled many times over and to date they still have not mowed my lawn. Today is the 5th of August the day of their latest reschedule and they again have not showed. They do not call they just send an email informing of a new date which normally is a 2-3 day window. If you are in need of a reliable landscaper i would advise you to bypass this company.
Decided to hire LawnStarter for two different properties because we were going on vacation. I agreed to their 3 cut minimum and thought it would be nice to come home to a freshly mowed yard and not have to worry about it for a week or two. The first week they showed up as scheduled. I had a neighbor provide information on my personal lawn and the tenant provide information on the 2nd lawn. Our tenant's property's lawn was cut so low that brown spots were left behind. Our lawn was haphazardly done. We notified LawnStarter and they stated we needed to leave a message on their app for the crews about lawn length. We did. (FYI-I filled out the app with the height that I wanted to grass to be PRIOR to them showing up for the first service) Crews were to come back on July 27 or 28 but never showed. I called LawnStarter on Wed and were assured they would get someone out there ASAP. No one showed up by Friday and I called again. My neighbor sent me pictures of my lawn. It was probably 6 inches tall. I was told they would return on Aug. 3 or 4 and the same crew would be handling both yards. I was also told I would be charged an additional fee for TALL GRASS because I stated that I did not want the clippings to be left on the lawn since the grass was so tall and I wanted it bagged! I told them I would not pay the fee but since I agree to a minimum of 3 cuts, they needed to fulfill their end of the deal. They later agreed that they would credit my account $15.00 to bag the clippings from my lawn. I agreed that that seemed fair. When we got home on Aug 3 and our lawn was almost a foot tall! I gave the crew all day Monday Aug. 3 to show and no one did, I then called and canceled all services with them because I was afraid the HOA would send us a violation. As of this morning, Aug. 5, no one showed up to the tenant residence. I have called and canceled all services for that property as well. I will NEVER do business with this company again and I would NOT recommend it to anyone. You will have nothing but headaches trying to get your lawn mowed. There is a huge disconnect between the phone number that you call and their ability to notify crews.
Got charged by lawn starter 3 times for no service, we have call repeatedly to get a refund but they are still reviewing the case. It has been over 2 weeks no refund. Going to report to BBB.
We even paid extra to make sure the person take care of our yard was safe and secure.

I hired this company for a while. This was one of the worst experiences I have had with a company. This company was ok for a while then got terrible. For example, few months back the guy came and because my grass was a bit more grown, he charged 4 times! His regular agreed price. Even in their own website this maximum extra fee is less than that ( I guess twice). So I did not complain, assuming that he will be coming regularly. After that I think he came one or two times. And suddenly, after that he skipped that mow and said it was because of weather. The next week he did not come either, and I realized that it is not a whether issue he probably wanted to keep me waited for some other reason. Eventually after about 2-3 weeks, the company said he won't come. Since then the company is promising to send someone, I can't believe it's been almost 1.5 months they keep saying someone will come tomorrow. Not that I'm an idiot to trust them, but I'm extremely busy. Lastly, they wasted so much of my time and at least 6-7 times promised useless things but no one eventually came.
My advice, if your time matters and you don't want to experience an unpleasant relationship, this company is not for you. Otherwise, I don't recommend this. If you are ok with all this, they are $3-$4 cheaper, on the positive sides.
At the first of July 2020 this outfit was contracted to weedeat on a secure lot in doing so the reckless contractor threw rocks down the passenger side of my immaculate 2019 Octane Red SCAT PACK CHARGER DOING 1700. 00$ damage so exstensive it had to be repaired immediately before it cause further damage with the knowledge that there was two separate individuals that witnessed this they then put so much stress on me I ended up in a hospital for chest pains in which I've had a major heart attack but they didn't care at all what they have done this lot is privately owned and the renter on the property contacted them to do this work!
I can't begin to tell you how much Lawnstarter has changed my life! Everyone comments on my flowers and my lawn and your response to my concerns are immediate. Your team makes me feel like I am your only customer! Thank you!
