Contracted for weekly service in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wednesday or Thursday service. Was unable to consistently provide service. Missed or reschedule more appointments than was able to complete over 2 months. Missed 2 weeks in a row, then tried to charge $151 over weekly cost for "excessive high grass." First mowing was 07/03, second was 07/21, followed by 07/28,08/06 did not show week of 08/11 or 08/18. On 08/25 received estimate for $193, was informed service would not be provided until estimate was approved.
Last year, this service was decent. There were some mixups (for instance they sent two crews a couple days apart), but the quality of service was good enough for me to try them again this year.
It could not have been worse. The first two crews they sent cut my lawn so poorly that it was uneven in many places, they missed whole SECTIONS of my lawn, and they left my gate open. Thank God my dog didn't get out because he's a runner.
Then recently my service was rescheduled over and over for a period of three weeks from the original date. I contacted support and they were so inept at holding their contractors accountable. They proceeded with empty promises of getting a crew out to me asap, and offered $15 vouchers on my next mow. Only thing is... there was no next mow. I eventually accepted that my lawn was not going to be mowed by them, and had to borrow my neighbor's riding mower, as the grass was now almost 2 feet in places and way too high to cut with my mower.
I've cancelled this service and will not be back. Please heed the advice of others on here and go with a reputable lawn cutting service instead of this crap.
LawnStarter not only never showed up, but they moved my service, canceled, re routed to additional mower contractors who then moved more than once, and then randomly canceled. It's been a week, and my yard has not been mowed nor has anyone in any position of leadership reached out in any way. You would think running a business via app would

Please be aware that there's someone by the name of Reinaldo who is trying to steal your business. He offers to do lawn service at half the price. He is a crook!
I've gone through several lawn care providers in the past few years and there is always something coming up. They either stop showing up with no notice or worst will say I didn't pay them for a service. After much frustration I decided to give these online services a try and wow, the difference is night and day.
The guy took 2 weeks to come to my house and charged me for the length of the grass. I ordered a flower wedding bed service, it never was done but they charged me for it even after my complaint and pictures. The customer service is nice when you open the account but when you made a complaint they aren't. I will never recommend thus service to anyone.
The crew rescheduled 3 times when I messaged the crew they won't respond. It has been 22 days since my lawn has been mowed. Called customer service 5 times refused to let me speak to a supervisor. This so called company is a scam... STAY AWAY DO NOT USE THEM

LawnStarter was ok at first, only couple issues, always rescheduled and crew would come later and later in day. Finally ended service when they mowed through our fruit tree, basically cutting it down. They didn't have the common decency to tell us about it, but we found it about 30 minutes after they left. I immediately let LawnStarter know and sent pictures. They basically treated us as liars despite prompt notice and photographic evidence. Then they had us jump through hoops to try and get reimbursed for a new tree. We are still arguing with them about it! Customer service number wasnt helpful in the beginning, didn't do anything to help resolve issue.
Finally after bad reviews I was called, refunded for the service date in question and ensured training would be done to avoid future bad service help.
This company didn't have anyone show up for days after the set date that was contracted. So I call their customer service number, if that's what they want to call it anyway. The lady proceeded to tell me THEY unsubscribed me because they couldn't find anyone in my area. Why the hell did I not receive a text, email or call. Very unprofessional company I wouldn't even give them a star but had to in order to write a review.
I expected to potentially pay slightly extra because my yard was a bit overgrown (but not horrible) thanks to my mower being broken. What I didn't expect is that the guy would show up to my house, call my back yard "very overgrown", and complain that he would have to push since my gate is not wide enough to allow a riding mower.
He complained of my back yard being "completely covered with obstacles" aka large things that are easy enough to avoid or mow around, such as my kid's play house and sand box, and our raised garden beds. I was quoted $120 to fix this BEFORE HE COULD MOW, meaning I would be paying at least $170 instead of the $50 I was quoted. I expected to maybe pay $100.
I literally just wanted the guy to mow. I don't care about edging or any of the extra crap. I just wanted my grass to be cut down. But instead I'm quoted $170 total for something that takes about 45 minutes to do.
Please never do any business with them. So unreliable. Crews either constantly reschedule or just don't show up!
Rescheduled twice due to weather they said but, it wasn't raining. I said, I didn't understand. I said it's hasn't rained. I was ignored. Then a message came through, "complete"
No, it wasn't. No one had come and cut the grass, I messaged back. I was ignored. I messaged four more times. I wasn't angry. I just wanted my grass cut. It had been 2 1/2 weeks. I was ignored. Messaged the company. I was polite, yet I was ignored. I waited 2 days. Now I'm angry. I canceled the service and hired someone else. If they charge me, next stop is BBB.

I used Lawnstarter for a rental property I had out-of-state. I had some great service but then recently had an issue with a crew not doing the work. Lawnstarter listened to my concerns and promptly made things right with me. As a business owner myself, I know things cannot always go right, but a great business will make things right when they can and Lawnstarter did that for me. They proved to me that they can be trusted and that you can count on them.
I am currently stationed in korea and was using lawnstarer to keep my property in tip top shape. It has been he'll since the providers I have been getting have been doing half jobs not cutting the entire length of my yard and taking pictures at angles that suggest otherwise. When I called lawn started to explain to them the situation I was told that they can't do anything about the past job because as far as they can see it looks like they have been doing their job and I am suppose to say something when I see the job not being done but I can't do an in person inspection since I can't be there. So now I'm stuck having to be up late into the night or very early in the morning to find and pay someone to do the job that I paid someone to not due. If you are looking for a lawncare service you can trust in your absence please go elsewhere and save yourself the headheache.
So over a month ago I signed up paid my first month. The first guy who came not his fault. Apparently we had a bees nest. Poor guy got stung 10 times and of course couldn't finish. But after that, it was excuse after excuse. Been well over a month and my grass is 2 feet and no one has ever came. Never got a return email on my last one. Account still says a past date for when they're coming. Never got my money back either
I ordered the lawn mowing and weeds control service. The service was delayed for more than a week. After the 1st delaying, I contacted the company every day and they promised me the job will get done as the next schedule every time. But the service have not contact me nor provide the service. I asked to talk to the manager, they always say "she is not available". This is the worst company I have ever used.
Now is a week later, they still have not mow my lawn. Called them everyday, they always say they will have someone do the job in one or two days. No they never show up. A nightmare. Never use lawn starter.com.

This business is a joke if I could give it lower than 1 star I would. My service has been canceled 3 times now repeatedly pushed back because of the reason "I catching up from bad weather" it has not rained here in weeks.
When contacting customer support I was told "the crew probably forgot about you, there's nothing we can do about it and it is not our problem." When I asked how "they forgot" was a valid reason the agent told me "I have a heart condition and cannot deal with your problem, I'm going to have a heart attack and die and it will be your fault" they then hung up.
You can get better customer service and more reliable schedule from the kid down the road than this company, stay away!
