There are a few reasons I really like LawnStarter. First, their prices were $15 less for my lawn than they guy I was using before. They have a great app where you can get notified of upcoming service. This is great for me because I have a dog and want to make sure the lawn is cleaned up before he arrives. I like how you can book additional service through the app. I haven't booked other services such as hedge trimming, etc yet but I will soon.
Today I canceled my service after trying it for just over 2 months. I'm really frustrated, disappointed, and at this point, angry. I have had three different crews in a row come out and not mow my backyard for different reasons including: 1) "the gate was locked" (the code was in my property info from the time I signed up for service) 2) "one of my guys told me he did it" (spoiler alert, he didn't) and 3) "Your dog was in the yard" (ok, but can you not tell me you're here so I can get him inside?). Apparently they do not know how to look at my property info or ring the doorbell and ask me (I work from home 24/7) or send a message. They all just left and charged me full price. I have never had any warning they were coming to make sure my dog was inside so I had no idea there was an issue. This is unacceptable. My backyard has not been mowed in 5 weeks now and I'm hosting 50 people at my home next week. Im hiring my old lawn service back that is nearly 4 times the price but they are at least reliable and honest. I'm attaching a photo of my back yard. I have not received any of the refunds promised and I will be disputing the charges with my credit card.
This company has a serious accountability problem. I have had 3 crews post that they completed an incomplete job. Why do they not have to take photos proving they did the work? Cool in concept but there are some serious issues these people need to work on so that the customers aren't the ones jumping through hoops holding their employees accountable for the shoddy work and incompetency. This is seeming more and more like a scam. I would not recommend this to anyone.

They are so easy to use and the crew that does my lawn is wonderful. They even noticed that my lawn didn't need to be mowed due to the heat and discussed skipping one service date so that my grass wouldn't burn up. Highly recommend Lawn Starter.

Using LawnStarter is easy and stress-free. I can get my lawn taken care of on a regular schedule without having to call around for service when it needs mowing, and can easily make changes through the app. It's more expensive than the local teenager, but far more dependable and simpler.

Husband and I got behind on our weeding and within a month our yard was full of hundreds of six foot tall monster plants., it was like fighting Audrey II in the full heat of July and still not making a dent! Felix and his crew are life savers. The quote provided was fair, they arrived promptly and handled the whole overwhelming job within a few hours. Our front and back yards look beautiful and brand new, I can't stop looking at them.

John was very professional during our first service, answered any questions I had. There was an additional quote I needed for grading and it was provided same day. The yard look great and I am happy with now this being the second mow and upkeep appointment.

The lawn pro we were assigned missed several scheduled appointments without notifying us. When I contacted the support team, I was assigned a new lawn pro and given another appointment. No one showed up for that appointment either. We've been without lawn care for almost one month and the company requires you to pay for 3 cuts whether or not the service is poor quality or if the lawn pro is a no-show! My grass is high and the yard looks terrible! I regret doing business with Lawn Starter. Never again.

Answer: This company is a scam, they get your credit card and charge for "extra services you did not request.
Answer: I have spent nearly $200 and my yard still looks like trash. Find someone else to do your yard. These people charge for work they never complete!
