If I could give them zero stars I would. The lawnmowingonline folks in the Houston area do a HORRIBLE job, the lawn mowing is contracted out to whomever they can get. The first service I received was okay, the next one I placed the mower never showed up. I sent a message to the contractor via the website like they tell you to, the mower told me he would come out the next day, he did not show up. I then sent a message to company was told to re-list the job and then I was told to put a tip on it to get someone to take the job faster. I had to wait two days for a refund and in order to re-list the job, would need to pay again if I wanted to get it done asap, to see if someone would accept the job.

I tried the service because someone I know used it a couple of times and had an okay job done, but even she has since advised me that the service is not as good as it used to be. She's had job bids also accepted and then mower not showing up. Or listing jobs and taking a few days for them to get accepted, meanwhile if you complain to the company about it they "advise" to increase tip.

In my experience, if you are not in hurry to get your lawn mowed, do not mind taking a chance that someone may or may not show, and do not mind paying upfront for a job BEFORE it is done, then maybe you will do okay.

To me, not worth it. I also have read some of the other dissatisfied reviews on this site regarding their services and the responses from the lawnmowingonline.com rep calling the reviews "fake". The fact that a company would be so immature to refute a customer complaint as stating that is must be fake speaks volumes. You contract out your work, some of contractors do lousy jobs, customers have a right to make sure that other consumers are informed about the good and bad. Grow up and focus on making your services better instead of yelling "fake", it will serve you much better in the long run.

I submitted a bid to get the lawn mowed at my house, and even put in additional tip to try and get the job done quickly. When it hadn't been picked up by that evening I went online and added another $4 to try to speed it up. I was very confused to wake up to a refund the next morning with the owner's note: "Note from merchant
Customer lied on order. Property over 10,890 sq ft. Order cancelled and refunded, customer banned, do not order again"

Talk about unprofessional! I think this company must be run by a 13 year old. I played their game though and submitted a helpdesk ticket explaining how I had come to the size of the lawn: "The total lot is 75' wide by 200' deep (15,000 sq ft). On the lot is a house, a detached garage and workshop, a long driveway and additional parking pad, and a large deck (700+ sq ft) so total grass area should be less than 11,000".

I of course never received a response. I went on their facebook page and asked if they had an update on my ticket and gave the ticket number, but that was deleted. I don't know what's up this guy's butt, but you should steer clear! Anyone who runs a business like that is not someone I want to give money to!

The site owner's response shows just how childish they are. Did not work with me to resolve misunderstanding, and did not refund the rest of my money until I repeatedly asked for it. The fact still remains that I paid MORE than their highest sq footage tier in the base ($19) + tips. I obviously wasn't out to scam anyone.

I needed my lawn mowed, went online, found their site, a few clicks and my job was accepted. I was unsure of the height measurement so I paid extra, it was well worth it. They came the next day. Looked great! Very pleased and will use them again.

Update: I've used Lawnmowingonline.com 4 times, the first 2 times was awesome, no problems at all, however, the next 2 times I had considerable issues. First, I ordered for the same services as the two times before, added additional tips and no one accepted the job. Asked for a refund and received it after Several days. Second, I ordered again for the same services, added 3 additional tips to have it accepted, no one accepted. I sent an email to cancel the order and then I receive a email saying that my order was accepted 6 hours after I canceled it. I contacted the contractor and let him know I canceled my order and no longer needed his services. He asked was I sure I canceled because I was still listed on his job list. Yes I was sure! It took several requests for refund and they refunded my money minus $15 for the cancel being within 48 hrs. That was total crap! No one accepted the job until I put in a cancelation request. They had added that little gem about the $15 since the last job I canceled. I had to send a separate request to get a refund of the additional tips I made. I have to say since my first review the overall customer service and professionalism with this company has greatly declined. Not professional, poor customer service. The person replying to all the refund requests seems to take the requests personally and his replies reflect that.

Absolutely can not beat this site. You sign up, and with a few simple clicks of your computer you are being sent actual paying lawn mowing jobs. Obviously I was skeptical at first but it was as easy as they claimed. I accepted the yards I wanted to mow(the ones I did not want to mow I didn't accept) and once I finished mowing them I uploaded the before and after pictures and was paid shortly thereafter. Money deposited right into your account, no taxes, no hidden fees, nothing. What they say you will be paid is what you are paid. You can not beat it. I would 100% recommend this site to contractors as well as consumers. Great deal for all involved.

STAY AWAY! I paid to get my lawn cut and they never showed up! He said if you add tip everyday then eventually someone will show up. I am not going to tip someone unless the job is done, period. After 4 days I decided to cancel and I was supposed to get my money back but It's been over 1 week now and I still have nothing. I filed a claim. I know its just $20 but I will not let people get my money if they did not deserve it! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE! I think the good reviews on here are probably their workers. Wish I did more research then rushing into wanting to get my lawn cut.

ACTUALLY MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN THAT THESE GUYS ARE THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE, FLY BY NIGHT, AMATEUR OPERATION I HAVE HAD THE UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE OF HAVING TO DEAL WITH! NOW I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THEM.
My order was "cancelled" twice, the first time because I asked for the contractor to call, and the next day, when the contractor was a "no show" on the scheduled day, and i did a contact to ask if my lawn was going to get cut, i get cancelled again for "hostile and inappropriate" language" HUH?!?! I never did get my lawn cut, and had to go elsewhere...
THESE GUYS ARE SO SORRY, AND THEIR COMPANY AS WELL! THEY WILL NOT LAST LONG, AND THEIR TREATMENT OF ME AS A CUSTOMER IS EXACTLY THE REASON WHY.

I wish lawnmowingonline.com was in Los Angeles. When I visited my sister in St. Louis- She told me that she found her gardener through this website. Unlike the Yellow Pages, this service lines up the mowers for you according to their availability and the area(Chesterfield) of town you live in. Anyway she got a firm price and great service from people who need the work, do a great job and are less expensive than calling a bunch of different landscappers over the phone. Hopefully lawnmowingonline.com will be in Southern Cal. In the future.

I started mowing for this company a few weeks ago and I'm very happy. You accept the jobs you want to do and you get paid within a couple of days after you complete the job. You get paid the actual amount they said you would. PayPal doesn't take any of your money and with a PayPal debit card you can get your money immediately. Some of the yards seem kinda big for the pay but other are easy money.

I think that as far as the customers that are complaining about receiving bad service, I think every company, no matter how large, employee or contractor, will have half-$#*! workers. Most of the mowers probably do a great job but there is always someone who is going to do the minimum.

I am a mower for the site and I find it convenient and at a competitive price. I admit I was a little skeptical about cutting lawns for such a small amount of money but as I got out there I realized that the payoff was just fine. A lot of times people don't put the correct length of their grass which make it seem like too much work but all you have to do it take a picture with a measuring tape and you'll be compensated for the extra length. I don't have to go out and find my own customers and it gives local residents convenience at an affordable price. Overall the site is a great idea for the mower and the customers. For those that had a bad experience, everyone makes mistakes sometimes and hopefully a solution is found to compensate for those mistakes.
