I purchased this product, am not using the free version.

I called to ask a question, the best i could. And basically the person at the end of the phone said i needed more info (it was about a legal term, the format of the revokable trust, is it common law or statutory trust. They are two different kinds of trust so i figured the question was valid. Anyhow, she basically said since i could not explain further that i needed to talk to a lawyer. Well, if they are providing the trusts, they should be able to know if they are common law or statutory trusts as they have different rules. I felt the person on the phone was unknowledgeable. Now i question the trust completely. Disappointing.

Bad

Double charged my card! Wont return my money! No way to get a hold of anyone, didnt even use the servce. Stated free when searched, then after filling everything out no chooce for free just pay. Now you have to write at least 100 words or it wont take tbe complaints...

They want all your information. You won't ever get rid of the ads. They say free free free! Then you finish filling out online forms and it changes to give us your payment information for a free 1 week trial. Because you went through all pages to fill in your online document before they wanted payment information, they now have all your information even when you cancel out. Guess time will tell whom they sell it to.

To clarify, our trial offer is free for a one week period. During that time, you can create, download and print as many documents as you need. You can cancel at any time and there is no obligation. You simply need to cancel the subscription by requesting the cancellation under Your Account, or accessing live chat or phone and we'll cancel it for you within the seven day window. You also receive an email recapping the offer details and the date and time to cancel by appear in the email.

We do have you enter your credit card information for uninterrupted access to your documents. There are no charges to the card if the trial offer is cancelled within the seven day trial period.

The information that you entered will be stored in our secure servers and can be accessed only by signing in to your account. Additionally, the order process occurs through an encrypted connection. The website and service are great. The forms are details and easy to use.
But after I tried the free trial, they charged me for couples of months. They did send me a message about the fully access but not about the payment so I didn't know.
I canceled it and asked if customers support can help me to get the refund since I used this website form only once, and got 3 months charges. I could accept it if the customer support told me it was the rule. The lady in Customer service just tried to criticize me for carelessness and lack of responsibility.

I was told I could cancel anytime the first month and I would not be charged and I canceled in a week and a half because the school would not accept their document as a legal document and once I canceled I was charged $33 the next day. I called and said I had canceled, why was I charged? The lady said sorry we can not refund you the money because you had it longer than 7 days so we charged you for a full month.

First time landlord here, and the purchase and move in came the during the pandemic and social distancing. With all of this coming down, and my newness staring back at me, I decided to give LawDepot a try. Man, they saved me, big time.

Of course, I had to look up local ordinances specific to my state and county, but I knew I had to do this. Then I needed to a good rental lease agreement that could also contain specific clauses unique to the property. They had an excellent template of it and I came out of this not only keeping myself and my tenants safe, I came off looking like a total pro. Not the case, but fake it til you make it, right?

- I was able to use their Rental Lease Agreement.
- A Walk Through Check List for before and after tenants move in.
- And a standard Lease Agreement with all the most important basics to keep me on track.

My nephew has started to buy rental homes, too. And I've recommended LawDepot to him as well.
I can't say enough good things about them.

I wish I had read the reviews here before i used their "free" service. This is a terrible experience for me. I signed up for viewing a sublease document in November 2018. I did remember I cancelled immediately after I viewed that document. Today I just found out I was charged continually for 18 months. I didn't receive any of the emails or statements from this company during this 18 months. This is very very terrible business and they always tried to steal costumer's money.

BAIT AND SWITCH!

THE SIMPLE WILL WAS A VERY BARE BONES FORM WHICH WOULD SUFFICE UNTIL MEETING WITH AN ACTUAL ATTORNEY. I WAS COMPLETELY TICKED WHEN I WAS READY TO SUBMIT FOR PRINTING AND THEN PRESTO! THE GOOD OLD "NEED YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO IN ORDER TO PRINT" SHOWS UP. THIS SITE JUST TOOK UP MY VALUABLE TIME IN ORDER TO PRODUCE NOTHING. IF IT'S FREE YOU DON'T NEED A CARD. THEY STATE THEY GET YOUR CARD AS "MOST PEOPLE WANT TO CONTINUE USING THE SITE." PUT ON YOUR RUBBER BOOTS IF YOU PLAN ON WADING THROUGH THIS____! BETTER YET, GO SPEND A COUPLE HUNDRED FOR AN ACTUAL ATTY OR VISIT LEGALZOOM.

Nobody should sign up with this company because they are crooks. I signed up for the free trial because I wanted to test a service contract for my business. They said I could cancel anytime. Then when I did cancel the services they charge my credit card $33.00. When I called them to explain the situation the customer service was from some Indian lady that barely speaks English. She said I was out. And there is nothing they can do for me. They lied and said I could cancel anytime but they charge you $33.00 to do so. There are many company's out there so STAY AWAY FROM LAWDEPOT. They will rip you off!

I've had recurring, monthly charges show up on my credit card, and when I called Lawdepot.com, they were incapable of identifying the services or what the charges were for, and the customer service was terrible - hostile is more accurate. STAY AWAY! It is fraud.

Once you complete and save a document, you are unable to edit and change/modify dates or wording. The documents are saved as a pdf, however, the justification scrambles and produces an unusable, unprofessional document. Monica, in customer service was abrupt and unable to assist in providing instructions. I see from other reviews that many have had the same issues with her. I wonder why she is still representing the company? I cannot recommend this site and regret giving them my business.

Hello Julie,

I am sorry that you had poor customer service with one of our agents.
When I look into your account and into your edited documents it looks like it is the top of the page that is becoming jumbled. As this is just the name of the tenant and landlord I would suggest not using the editor and going with Change Answers and correcting the names in the original questions. I have included the instruction's below on how to do this.

If you need to access your document:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Hover on your email address at the top right hand side of the page and click on My Documents from the drop down menu.
3. Click on the document name to open the file.
4. Click the Change Answers icon to edit answers.
5. Save and continue until you get to Parties change the names and click on save and continue.

I was trying to gather a little more information about their services. Was put through to Monique who copied and pasted the same reply three times about how there was no one available despite the fact that it was well within their advertised working hours. I had a handful of questions about incorporating. No answers just deflection to call their 1800#. I don't want to call. I want a to live chat.

Guess I'll have to call a real lawyer.
