Purhased flight insurance as was flying because dad was deathly ill.
Cancelled flight because itinerary didn't work on the return.
1) call center could not change return flight even though the ticket was purchased 2 hours before.
2) if you get credit back it's on 70£ of a £800 flight purchase... So you get credit vouchers, minus the 100£ insurance you paid. So I got 700£ back
3) online when I was rebooking my flight they added another £100 to my 730£ flight.
Called the help number numerous times to ask why, they said they couldn't help and someone would get back to me by next day morning. They didn't. Called again they said they couldn't help and would have someone else call me. Finally couldn't wait any longer as prices went up so I paid another 300£ on top of the 800£ I paid for my original flight.
It's unethical and legal robbery.
I could have flown first class on a flexible ticket for that price.
Value for money = 0 if anything = minus.
Service of call center some people were very kind and sympathetic but utterly USELESS. Note caps.
The insurance I took out was s joke. I actually took it out by mistake by hitting s button I thought said next with the small writing next to it that asked for the additional insurance... sneaky... especially if you're in a rush because you just got the news your father is in his deathbed. He's still alive BTW.
The first time it asked for additional insurance I declined. The second time it asked next to the next button, the decline button a second time was on the lower part of the page you had to scroll down to decline.
Scoundrels. I'm refraining from using colorful language here.
The insurance is also partnered with bravofly group that purchased them in 2015. All I can say is i hope your stock dips to the far reaches of hell guys.
It was a very nice try to find reservation easy like that. But reward is very limited as it is not logic to have a offer for just two weeks. I am already subscribed in many different applications and they provide me offers valid for two months.
I booked flight and hotel for my mother's 75th birthday at half term with my son and 1. This was a 5 star hotel. I booked two garden view rooms for the special occasion. No communication from last minuet.com from the initial booking a year earlier. On arrival to the hotel at night on 19/10 I was told by the hotel staff that last minute had cancelled our booking the day before. The hotel was full.
Desperate, I tried to get in touch with the company with no joy and resulting in my mobile phone service being suspended And a bill of £122. To cut a long story short, close to midnight the hotel took pity on us and gave us a room for one night only that we all had to share. I spend 2 days in reception being passed from lastminuet.com to booking.com who had booked the hotel! Lastminuet's com response:
As the issue was resolved ( no thanks to lastminuet.com) an offer of £60
Shameless Lastminute.com
No concern of the stress, humiliation or ruining of a special occasion
I've had a terrible time with this company I have attempted to make a booking for the past 3 days and no one seems to answer the telephone number that I have been provided when I speak to someone online they just close the chat instead of helping me I've been transferred to four different people that haven't been able to help me me I'm trying to make a booking to go to my best friend's funeral with no help I used to think they were great but clearly they stop spending money on investing in training for good customer service.
The service was terrible, the noise outside, the pillow wasw not comfortable, the mistaken booking...
Flight with Ryanair from Bournemouth to Malta. Had to book one person at a time as we only took one suitcase, otherwise site tried to book one case each. Once sorted, no problem with print-off for flights or private transfer in Malta. Hotel was fine, hoping to go back next year but would use Maltese Public Transport for transfer as its only 1:50 euros for any journey per person. We will book through Lastminute.com again.
I received a booking offer for the atados on In Park in Southend for only 50£ and the hotel was great
I had to go directly to the airline's website to check-in and pay for my checked bag a second time as I couldnt log into lastminute.com. My password wasn't accepted and I couldn't reset it as my email address was rejected despite them sending me an email confirmation. There is no way I could find of contacting these people.
I booked a weekend away to Edinburgh, booking the hotel and flight together has saved money and is very convenient as you have all the details in one place, i would use again.
After my payment was processed, suddenly I got other things that I paid for. I contacted them and they cannot even tell who they booked the tickets that I paid for. And of course, since then they refuse to give any information. Airlines say that LastMinute has ownership of the tickets. So basically, they steal your money and they they stop responding. Do not even go to "secret" fees that are applied after etc...
But do not trust my word, look what biggest newspaper in the world says about them. https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/*******/lastminute-charged-holidaymaker-882-to-cancel-trip-despite-paying-extra-to-avoid-cancellation-fees/
Flight was good but it was quite difficult to get the flight tickets etc as had to click through to EasyJet. This process needs to be more seemless
Would be nice to be able to book hold luggage for one way only as was not required on outbound flight
These people made me buy a holiday with insurance no quibbles cancellation extra. I asked to cancel no luck. Money taken.
Completely misleading
I booked late and experienced a seamless / efficient online booking process for flights and hotel. No problems whatsoever. Flights were eventually delayed but - of course - this is something out of the control of lastminute.com.
I had initially tried to book the trip on Expedia but experienced difficulties making online payment. After switching to lastminute.com, this payment problem vanished.
Having issues with Opodo and other sites where prices would keep going up, I had my doubts about Last-minute, however, everything was straight forward and as expected. Will use again.
Booking my flight with last minute is a great experience. All went smooth. Great happy to recommend last minute to any one.
Emma Suzuki Lastminute.com are cowboys! Be very careful of them. I am still awaiting a refund 5 months after they agreed to pay it! The end user ("customer") is kept very much at arms length. Their business model is to invest heavily digital marketing to draw in the cash. This business model works for them. This is a matter of BUYER BEWARE!
Booking with you was easy but the flights were terrible should of been 6.30 take off but 9.20 and 2 planes later we took off and they were not Jet 2 planes which it said on our boarding pass
Late sending boarding passes spent holiday worrying Had to have airline change seats at airport Bad!
Answer: I want an email address for LastMinute.com through which to log my complaint and ask for an explanation and partial refund.
