I returned a shade to Lamps Plus. I was given two options: 1. Pay to ship the item to them 2. Destroy the item and send them a picture and I would receive a full refund. I am disgusted by the lack of respect for resources. I will never use this company again. Please, start caring about something other than the bottom line.
We are sorry to hear of the disappointment during your return. While we do offer free returns on some of our items, our lamps shades do not fall under our free return policy; we do apologize. Because of this, we did offer you a discounted return label to send this shade back to us for a refund. The other option that we offered you, which entailed the collapsing of the shade, and sending us the photo to receive your refund, is a return option we have in place for our shades as it is the most cost effective and environmentally friendly method. This method saves on extra car emissions as well as extra packing waste caused by having the shade shipped back.
Purchased two lamps and both were received in one box, unfortunately one of the lamps were shattered in 1000 pieces. Called customer service and they wanted me to repack the entire order and send back for a refund. Not my fault you packaged the lamps incorrectly and expect me to repackage broken glass to send back. Very unacceptable and I will not be buying from them again. Out $60 with a lamp that cannot be matched from another store. And what's up with the 20+ digit order number, you can't possibly have that much business with the level of customer service I had the pleasure of dealing with.

After speaking with the sales rep and customer service, I returned faulty outdoor lights using the provided FEDEX return label and bought replacements. I emailed about my refund again and cannot get a response. Still no refund either. They claim 5-7 business days. This is going on since May. Lousy customer support.

Return processing takes about 7 to 10 business days from when the package is delivered to our warehouse, and once that is complete, it takes about 5 to 7 business days for the refund to post, depending on the bank or credit card company.
However, we have tried to reach you by phone as there is confusion regarding the items returned and from which order, as there were two orders and returns both for outdoor lights. The labels used do not match the order ID provided on the email and review, so that is why we have called to try to clear this up. We did have our warehouse looking into this as well, however we have contacted you directly with the details via email as well so that we can be sure to get this all taken care of as quickly as possible.

I ordered a desk lamp from Lamps Plus. FedEx reported the lamp as delivered, but it was not at my door on that day. It was likely delivered to the wrong address, which is a common occurrence in my neighborhood. I asked Lamps Plus for a replacement; after six weeks of thinking about it, they rejected my request. So now I have no lamp and a charge for $160. This is unacceptable. The consumer does not come first for this company. So be cognizant of the fact that loss or theft is your risk, not theirs
We sincerely apologize for this unfortunate situation. We assure you that we did all that we could on our end to try to resolve this on your behalf, and we do have procedures we must follow. We do not have the ability to refund or reship an order that was marked as delivered, so we did file an investigation on your behalf to dispute this with the carrier. We advised they do take about 10 to 14 business days. That timeframe and outcome is not determined by Lamps Plus in any way. The carrier did deny the claim, so we advised that the next step to get this resolved would be to dispute the charge. We are sorry again that we were unable to further assist you with this directly, and thank you for your time.
I continue to receive bank account holds for a cancelled item. First, A hold for double the amount of the order was placed on my account. Customer Service rep was nice but informed me "that's just the way it is". Only after a formal complaint was the hold finally released. I found that my account has been charged AGAIN! What is the deal?! It shouldn't be so difficult. DO NOT BUY FROM LAMPS PLUS!

During the pandemic when so many online stores have slipped significantly in customer service and horrible return policies for defective products, it is nice to know that Lamps Plus is on top of their game. Easy and fast access to a person and quick and fair resolution to problems.

They suck. After 6 days I ended up at walmart and bought the bulbs for half the price.
Will never use them again. Plus they had shipped it yesterday and I have to pay to ship it back...
We are very sorry for the wait time with your order. This was placed on 12/31/20 after 3PM PST, so it did ship the next business day which would be Monday, 1/4/21. This was shipped with ground shipping, so the transit time does depend on the carrier and they are facing delays due to high volumes of shipments and restrictions during this time.
As a onetime exception in this case since you had to purchase the bulb elsewhere, we went ahead and processed a refund on your order, and you do not have to return anything.

I am a long term repeat customer with Lamps Plus, have ordered thousands of dollars worth of lighting fixtures. I have been extremely happy until I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with their customer service.
Fedex lost an expensive ceiling fan (approximately 3 months ago.) I quickly reached out to FedEx and they admitted fault, they recommended I reach out to Lampsplus for a refund.
Lampsplus disregarded the claim number FedEx had provided me and insisted they perform a personal "tracer" investigation. After almost 2 months they came back saying they would need additional time to process the claim and provide a refund. The customer service representatives were always hit or miss, some would be somewhat helpful and some were flat out rude. I would have to hound them to continue to move forward with the process of getting a replacement or refund. They would never proceed to the next step unless I called them.
When they were on the final step and about to process my refund they sent a final email stating they would not proceed with issuing a refund. After three (3) whole months that's your solution? After FedEx admitted fault on their end but you refused to take my claim number? I could have filed a claim with my bank immediately and the issue would have been resolved much quicker.
You lost a good customer Lamps Plus, I love your its but your poor excuse of customer service is your downfall. I will be seeking alternative vendors for my home lighting/decor from now on.
Ordered two lamps and a rug and got everything shipped just fine. Customer service was helpful when I had a question about the delivery dates. Good selections.

We ordered 2 bullet lights that advertise being in stock and would arrive in 7 to 10 days. After 2 weeks I called. I was told that their delivery system was having problems due to covid (understandable) and my order was waiting to be shipped out and would be shipped out that day. When I went back to check on it days later, I was told that line was temporarily down. Not only were my lamps not being shipped out, they weren't even made yet. I asked for a supervisor, I asked several questions such as why was I lied to and when would production start back up and why wasn't I informed there was a problem? None of these were answered and no one would come to the phone except this poor girl who knew nothing. I will never deal with this company again! I gave it one star because it would not allow for zero
I made a simple order. I noticed on my invoice an hour after ordering that my old address from 6 months ago had populated the order. I called quickly an hour after making the order. I also emailed customer service as well within that short time to make the correction in writing also. Supposedly problem solved. Now almost 2 weeks later I have paid for my order but still do not have the order. It has been delivered to the incorrect address 2 times now. This is now my problem. They advised that I should dispute the payment. They said they delivered the product and there is nothing they can do. They will not sent me another item. What a sad attitude... the many calls I have made looking for this order to come in explaining this story over and over
I am HEART BROKEN over this sale! My bank account was emptied with charges I DID NOT AUTHORIZE over the amount of my purchase. I was on hold ALL MORNING, talked to THREE PEOPLE AT THIS COMPANY, Ashton, Christy, and the "manager" Lindy who stated in part "this is explained on our website", when asked for the name of her boss she refused to tell me, when asked to speak to her superior, she stated "you will get no where." I AM NOW BROKE AT THAKSGIVING, THEY TOOK OVER $1,100.00 UNUTHORIZED MONEY AND REFULSE TO RETURN IT! THEY RUINED MY HOLIDAY. I do NOT advise doing business with this company!
This review is based on personal experience. I purchased a sculpture from LampsPlus. The sculpture that arrived did not look even remotely close to the picture displayed. I called for a return and the person who answered asked me to send a picture. Her reaction was similar to mine and she processed the return, free of charge. She even indicated LampsPlus would contact the company for a new picture that resembled the product. Based on this, I thought very highly of LampsPlus.com as this was the first time I have ever used them. I then proceeded to leave an honest review. My review was censored. I left a follow-up review for the same product and that review also was censored. The purpose of this LampsPlus review is to alert anyone who purchases from this website to know that in my opinion, you should absolutely not trust their reviews. Just a quick scan of their website will show that an amazing number of products have between 4.5-5 stars. This should make you very suspect. When you look at reputable websites like Amazon you always see honest reviews and ratings between 1 and 5 stars. When you see a website where nearly every item has 4+ stars, and the reviews look like they are written by people with a PhD in English literature - you should run.
Customer satisfaction is not their number 1 goal, not sure why they claim that. Their product was a joke, cheaply made, 1/4 size as pic depicted and I paid over $50 to return their product because I live in the east coast and they are located in California. Also, the light fixture produced approx 10% of lighting a normal light fixture at your local retail lighting store would have. No photos because I thought they were going to do the right thing and reimburse my shipping and handling charges, but that's not their policy, guess it's alright to deceive the public and customer satisfaction is not their priority. Rarely a reviewer. But I am soooo disatisfied and disappointed, I feel its my obligation to warn everyone and for you'll to avoid headaches... Pharm. D.
