6:30am Employee stoic unfriendly after I greeted her with a good morning. Lacks professionalism and caring demeanor. No lab coat and told me I could not accompany my visually impaired parent to the bathroom. Told me to wait outside in lobby. She then rushed my parent out of bathroom. Allowed me in prior to blood draw but while in there she told me to move out of her way. Her tone was dismissive abrupt and abrasive. At that point my trust of her diminished. We went to another lab where we were treated with kindness and respect and appreciation for our business.
Labcorp was located inside my Dr.'s office. She ordered a comprehensive blood draw. Medicare denied $57. Medicare told me the code was probably wrong. The Dr.s office corrected and faxed the new code to Labcorp several times. Labcorp never resubmitted to Medicare and has now turned over to collections. I've written letter after letter with supporting documentation and begged them to re-submitt to Medicare. They just ignore siting the Dr. that ordered the test must change the diagnosis. That Dr. Is no longer with that group. The entire practice has been sold to corporate medicine, however my files are still there in that office although I am no longer a patient. I suspect they are just too lazy to follow-up and resubmit to Medicare because Medicare with pay the discounted amount and Labcorp wants more money. After all they have been sued by the government.
I called customer service; she was rude and said she wouldn't help. When I asked if I could be forwarded to a different dept so I could find someone who could help me, she refused and when I asked her nicely for her name, she hung up on me. This is the billing dept. Incredibly bizzare. I work in healthcare myself so I know how difficult/stressful it can get, but I would never treat a patient like that. Utterly izzare
Tried to make an appt. On the portal. No problem with first 3 steps, put in info of 4th step which was cell phone, pressed NEXT to get to next step and got error message about cell phone saying I needed to check a box - THERE WAS NO BOX TO CHECK. Repeated procedure and the same thing happened. Got phone number of lab corp I wanted to use. Multiple options - pressed the option for Apppointment - it was not for appointments. Looked for phone number on google - was nothing but a bunch of advertisements - obviously wrong phone number. Found a number on the labcorp site for providers (I'm a patient) and pushed any button that would get me to a person. There was no phone number for patients - only an optiion to send an email. That person didn't listen to my issue with the portal. She stated that there was no problem with the labcorp portal and that she would talk me through it. Did she think that I was that stupid that I didn't understand the difference between a problem due to my iinability and a problem due to labcorp? I indulged and let her talk me through the entire process again and the exact same thing happened. She then told me I would need to talk to technical support but she did make an appt for me. I spent over 45 minutes on this. I've always used labcorp because I have easy access to my labs and there is never a billing issue but I will not be using them again.
Arrived for an appointment, and 15 people were waiting ahead of us, even with a scheduled appointment. They do not honor appointment times— it's useless. Horrible customer service. Extremely long waits, even with an appointment. No respect of time.
On the website it says they only take 1.5 inches of hair as per the law, the technician took over 6 inches of hair in a 2" square off the top of my head, leaving me with a giant bald spot. So not only did they take an extremely large portion of hair they did not even follow protocol to make sure 90 days worth of hair was tested. It was more like a year.
THEY SAY I OWE A BILL AND I HAVE PROOF OF PAYMENT BUT YOU CAN'T SPEAK TO A PERSON AND THEN THEY WANT ME TO SEND ALL KINDS OF PROOF BY MAIL OR FAX...WHY CAN'T I EMAIL LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN 2023! THE HOOPS I'VE HAD TO JUMP THROUGH AND THE THREATENING LETTERS FROM LABCORP ARE LAUGHABLE AT BEST.
The kiosk to check in would not scan the QR code sent. Then it asked to scan ID and insurance card. It asked for back side up, then asked to scan the back (scan was from the top.) The card could not be read in any direction. I tried. Then I asked a question to the only employee who stepped in to get a patient. When the receptionist returned, she said that the person to whom I spoke "didn't work there" which was a lie. I didn't get blood drawn for doctor because of her refusal to help me.
I've had to call this place each time I should have had my results. One person helped me the others weren't helpful. I've gotten hung up on when asking to get my results emailed to me because they weren't finalized yet. I use to get results next day for the tests I've been taking and suddenly it's not posting for over 24 hours. My drs office has specifically told me not to use one of their offices in his building because they're notorious for screwing up labels. This place is a joke.
2535 W Cheyenne Ave #105, North Las Vegas, NV, ******* - Marc B was working this location and I was blessed enough to be in his chair. The kindness and most importantly his SKILLS make him a gem. Thanks for making the blood draw the easiest of my life.
My Cardiologist wanted me to do a blood test for two items only I repeat 2 items only which was well clearly written on the test request and Lab Corp managed to miss one of the 2.
Well done Lab Corp well don
The doctors office sent samples without my consent. I was told at Midwest Women's Clinic my visit would be covered by Medicare
6 months later here comes LabCorp billing me for services at $312! I've talked with them on 2 calls. They were rude and belligerent. I've asked Midwest Women's Clinic for help and they blame Labcorp. I really think they see Medicare, bill, take the money and don't care about their patients. Medicare paid out to both.
Ask where your samples are going, make sure it's coded correctly and then check again.
No one else will watch out for you!
Tufts Medical recently switched to Labcorp. The performance has been awful to say the least. It takes a week to get lab results vs Tufts in house 1-2 days. I now go to another lab.
Had basic blood tests for years and never got charged because it was always covered. Then get a bill from labCorp, apparantly becasue it was not submitted correctly to the insurance company. One LabCorp representive said they can't contact my doctor. My doctor office said the talk to them all the time, so that was a lie. After getting the doctor to re-submit it to labCorp two times, LabCorp said they never recieved it, and no one I talked to seemed like they wanted to deal with it or would deal with it. Keep in mind I never made any agrement with LabCorp. I'm not sure you could find a company with so many negative reviews.
They charged me for a blood draw I said i didn't want done. They even said they have proof of the phone call of me saying I didn't want it but proceeded anyways and charged me $150! This isn't ok!
I a. Over 70 years old and use medicare and AARP supplement. If you use Medicare, do not use Labcorp if you can. I had history of high blood pressure and hight cholesterol (over 290) and pre-diabetes and UTI. Lately I was charged over us$1100 by Labcorp for blood test of cholesterol, vitamin D-3, A1C, Natriuretic peptide.
If I could, I would give them no stars. The location was filthy which raises safety concerns. They lost my sample. Did not run the labs as ordered. The people at the fromt desk didn't know what they are doing. Management takes no responsibility and acts like their failures and biohazard issues are acceptable. Please for your safety, go to a different lab company.
Go to Quest if you need anything urgent. Labcorp has horrible customer service, you can't even get a human on the phone in most of their locations. They do not return messages either. If you have urgent medical needs, forget getting a quick appointment with Labcorp. They seem to think that everyone has weeks to wait for bloodwork appointments, even though some bloodwork is urgent. These morons couldn't care less.
Checked in at about 9:05 am, scanners did not scan my insurance cards. This was for a fasting blood test, I am diabetic. I waited for 2 hours & 20 minutes to be seen, only for the clerk to ask to scan my cards again. Very shakey, glad I didn't pass out. I will need to find another lab! And, if my doctor will not order from another lab, I will get another doctor
