Immediately upon joining you are barraged with messages from models, not average women, but Instagram model types. Those kinds of women don't bother answering guys all day in these scam sites. No, they sell pictures and videos to the site so the site can pretend to be them. I had one model offer to make a video of herself proving she is real. I ask her to also say my name. It arrives and costs 50 credits, of course, and upon opening it she's speaking Spanish, which I can't understand, and then never says my name. I ask her to make another and she says no, she needs to attend English classes in a week before she can state my name. Huge scam of a website. Should be taken down for fraud.

Recently divorced and not wanting to be alone or marry another Americanized woman, I was thrilled to find La-Date. It is an expensive way to chat, but I did not mind until I had for me proof positive this is a scam. As soon as my account was active, I started receiving constant messages, wanting to chat or meet me. That was strange, given I had not added a picture of myself. The messages wanted me to open emails and look at short videos, all of which are costly to send and receive. Where were these women getting all this money to send emails and videos to strangers? Now I am suspicious. So before agreeing to talk to any of the 100s of invitations, I would ask each one for their email address. They had numerous excuses, and no one sent any. Next, I asked for a picture of the girl with her left hand fully covering her right eye. This is when it became really interesting. They would send all types of pictures but refused to send the simple picture requested. They had all types of excuses. From just breaking my arm, the system will not accept the picture, at work can't take pictures now, etc. The excuses were hilarious and all very similar. I found one girl that sent the picture as requested. We talked for quite a bit and I was coming to visit her in May. She seemed legit until she started asking for virtual gifts. To keep her happy, I gave her one cheap virtual gift but made it clear I would never do that again, but I would be happy to send her flowers, candy, etc if I had her address. Afterward, she was not as available to me. So I had a friend create an account and message her, asking if she knew of any girls willing to be his girlfriend while in-country. Initially, she said no, and she does not meet guys like that. My friend thanked her and said goodbye. The next day, she came back and offered to meet him and be his girlfriend during his visit. She was not interested in me - only wanted me to spend money on this site talking to her, sending and receiving pictures, and virtual gifts. So the question is why would these girls, all of these girls, spend their money (which based on country economics) if they don't have much money to send blanket requests to guys they never intend to meet? The only reasonable answer is they are not spending their money and they also have to be getting part of the monies that men like myself paid to communicate with them. Otherwise, it does not make sense because every girl on the site is the same. This site can be fun if that is all you want, but if you are seeking someone to meet and have a relationship with, this site is a BIG SCAM!

I went to visit a woman in medellin, colombia and instead of setting up the date she was more interested in keeping me on the site buying credits to chat. I realized this when it cost me more than $20 (50 credits) to view a picture a woman sent me on the site.
This, in conjunction with, the fact that the site charges an ungodly per minute rate to chat with women, which would cost hundreds of dollars per week if someone were to actively chat everyday with women on the site.
Then, when the woman who I was chatting with told me she was crying after I told her I wasn't going to stay on the site because of the extreme cost, after only one day of us chatting, which I found quite theatrical, I smelled a rat.
She was adamant about me staying on the site so we could talk every day and get acquainted.
But after I gave her my phone number, to reduce the cost of our chats, she was diligent about trying to persuade me to communicate with her exclusively on the site with no regard for the extreme cost per minute it cost to chat on the site and the $20 cost to view the picture she sent is when it became clear that she was working for the site.
No reasonable woman interested in a guy would expect him to incur such expense while getting acquainted with her. Particularly when there are free alternatives to chat online.
But that is all the women on LA-Date seem interested in: Keeping you on the site with the meter running while you spend a fortune chatting with them; which is why I call LA-Date a bonified scam website. Because it is.
You can actually buy a plane ticket and travel to see a woman in Latin America, in person, for what you would pay for a month chatting on LA-Date.
Chatting, online, on a dating website, should cost about 20 to 50 bucks a month, depending on the site. Not $30 to $40 every couple few hours.

When you ask for their number (pretty common to give out phone numbers in Latin America), the generic reply is they want to know you better; if you persist, the next level of response is that they don't have a cell phone. Have the feeling that the messaging is handled by a third party - the English is too good and the questions too dating-site canned. Mostly girls (beautiful) from Colombia but the cost is too high and the chances of getting beyond the talking stage seem very restricted. I spent about $100 in just a few hours and had the chance to speak with many willing chicas (or computer bots, who knows), but it never got beyond the "let's keep talking stage" - I wish someone would prove me wrong but I think it's a scam. This site is quite expensive when you consider that you have to use a few credits to send each message. A monthly fee would be much better, especially given the fake accounts that are present in this site. While it's impossible to have no fake accounts on a site, it is troublesome when u consider the high cost of each wasted message. Also I believe the site has a hand in these fake accounts. I remember conversations with 3 different accounts that I felt were the same person. After carefully placed questions I came to the conclusion that is was the same person pretending and while good made mistakes that made it quite clear. Other times I felt like it was A. I. speaking and it becomes quite clear when you get the same response when asking carefully taught out questions. The final detail that made it quite clear this site is a scam to try to steal money from people was when you try to delete the account. You cannot just simply delete the account like you would in any other lawfully run site. You have to give your info and agree not to pursue and legal action against the site. If they were truly running things truthfully and with integrity, then there would be no reason for them to require you to forfeit your rights to take legal action against them. Be very careful with this site. I do not recommend this site in any way. You can see below the email were they required me to forfeit my rights to take action to delete my account which is ridiculous.

La-date.com came up on my feeds so I signed up and go into a familiar screen page. Same as Valentine, Bravodate and a few others. Once my profile was added with 20 minutes I had ladies from 20 messaging me, great but they weren't online! Somebody was feeding them in. Checked out the cost of credits and that was high in my opinion. From what I saw and the responses it seemed as it was another scammer site to be avoided.
