I made an online pick up order. I picked up my order and things went down from there. My order total somehow changed between the time of my pick up and me receiving the confirmation email. My total increased by $252. I ordered 7 lobster tail for $6, which totaled $42. I was charged for 7 lobster tails for $42 each, for a grand total of $294 for 7 lobster tails. The store claimed it was an online glitch and the online side claimed it was a store scanner error.
Since it was their error, you would assume that I would be refunded immediately. That was not the case. I was told it would be 5-10 days to be refunded, even though, it was their mistake. 10 days go by and no refund. I called and was out on hold and disconnects total of 4 times in an hour's time. No supervisor would speak to me. When. A customer service agent tried to get a supervisor on the line, she mistakenly transferred me without letting him know I was on the line, and he was overheard saying, you need to talk to her, which she responded that I was already on the line; and suddenly, I was disconnected for the 5th time. I am so disgusted and dismayed with the way this has been handled. Kroger.com needs to be retrained in customer service and how to treat their customers in general. Publix will be getting my business and I will let as many people as I can know about this experience. GIVE ME MY MONEY!
I could only get 2 of the 4 items that I was shopping for, which is typical. Plus, I and another customer, waited for at least 6 minutes at the customer service desk and nobody waited on us. I finally left. I would shop somewhere else, but kroger forced the nearest competitor to sell out.
The number of savings programs offered at Kroger's is out of control. Discrimination in the digital coupons access. Paper ads. In store only savings for purchasing a certain number of items within a group to receive the money off. There will be at least two different groupings of those if not three. Impossible to keep track and then you get to the checkout and you short one item and then you either go back to the store or you pay that extra dollar on everything if it's been in your cart. There's another program called rewards spending nobody at the store even knows what it is. The last one I know about is customer service monetary amounts that can go on your card. When you choose to use them or not is it extremely hard to deal with on the check out yourself register and then at the regular register they say yes to them when you haven't said yes and they take your money and you can't get it back without calling somebody and trying to deal with that. Knowledge of savings programs by employees is lacking. So tired of coming home to my receipt and having to return to the store or call customer service and deal with it and take my time it's out of control.
Wish you would learn how to operate a grocery store. Why can't you have stock people come in at midnight and stock through five or six in the morning? Why do I have to be inconvenienced when I come in to shop and have to walk around pallets of product sitting everywhere, out of product, and employees everywhere in the way?
Everything is scripted with bots and overseas individuals who barely understand English at a pre-K level. They do not comprehend what you are saying. They just go off of a keyword of what you are saying and read/type the next script. Issues with orders, substitutions, refunds, missing deliveries to the wrong address, etc NEVER get solved. You WILL lose money when you shop at Kroger. The only question is, will it be dozens or hundreds of dollars? For me, I have lost HUNDREDS of dollars in missing deliveries. You are PROHIBITED from speaking to a human who speaks English as a first language. Be careful. Don't shop at Kroger.
Kroger charged me for groceries to be delivered. When they didn't arrive, I contacted customer service and they only made EXCUSES! Will NEVER do business with them again!
I received excellent customer service today in the deli department by Phil. This is at Kroger in Plano off Custer Road and Parker. I will definitely look for him every time I go into the store to buy my deli meats and cheeses.
He was such a nice guy!
I love how Kroger has air for your tires and most importantly it is free, a life saver when your tire needs air, in the middle of grocery shopping, how convenient, every grocery store should one! It would be heaven!
Kroger evidently thinks they have the right to not fill people's prescriptions without any explanation. They refused to send my meds to wallgeens who was fantastic and helped me every way they could. I will never spend another penny at Kroger!
I bought 2 tubs of ice cream and charged for 3. Customer service only had one person working. I stood in line for an hour to get refund. Also asked for help getting groceries in car and was told they don't do it anymore. Asked for manager and he's at lunch. Customer service has gone out the window.
Past few times I ordered from Kroger Home delivery, they substituted items when I told them not too, and then they sent me ROTTEN BANANAS, AND TODAY THEY DID NOT SEND ME ALL MY ITEMS AND THEY CHARGED ME FOR THEM, THIS IS GODDAMN RIDICULOUS, AND SORRY!
I am unable to shop in the stores because of a severe injury, so have to order online, and depend on home deliveries. Their computerized ordering software is an absolute nightmare. I've had to battle software error messages, many that aren't even legitimate, throughout every order I place. I've been reporting this for months, to no avail. Then, there's the inventory issues. The software allows the user to order to order things that are not available. No notice is given of this until after the order has been processed. The user's funds for these items are on hold in bank accounts for up to around 10 days. Then, they also advertise specials, and don't stock anywhere what they need to support these specials. Customers don't want to go back out, and shop at some other store, so they either purchase something else at a higher cost, or do without. I could write a book about these people if I wanted to. Hard working, responsible, and honest people of the 1960s and 70s made Kroger THE place to shop, but the management of today is tearing it down.
Regardless of your dietary needs and you have made it abundantly clear that substitutions were not allowed. This employee didn't care. She didn't want to search for the specific items I had ordered. She just grabbed whatever was quickest and closest to the items I actually wanted. I even called the Instacart main office. They said they would get a new shopper to finish the order. THEY DID NOT DO THAT. I still received multiple substitutions and many items that I didn't want or even like. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!
When did the bakery oatmeal cookies get so thin! They are so thin that they bend when they are fresh out of the container. Not to mention for the same price. I rather they make them like they used to and increase the price.
Terrible...deli really sucks.
Staff is slow and don't know how to slice lunchmeat.
Store is dirty, never have any available carts.
I don't write many reviews, but Kroger's delivery is absolute garbage. First, I can only log in on my computer every now and then. I keep getting "We're sorry, an unexpected error occurred. Please try signing in again." Tried three different browsers all with the same problem. Their support is absolutely useless. Second, the web site search is the worst search engine ever. I can't find anything I want using the search function as it's terribly unintelligent. I don't even know how its sorting results, but YOU can't sort them. You want to sort price high to low? Nope. You want to search by reviews - there are none. Just utter garbage. Third, the truck is often late. Don't set up an evening delivery it might come at 2 am.
The store has a horrible customer service. Employees seem miserable do not like where they work. Employees always have negative attitude towards customers. Sometimes I feel they are trying to drive customers away from the store. They are so many other chains in the area and definitely customers will consider shopping somewhere else.
Visited the Kroger store at 501 Lone Oak Rd. In Paducah, Kentucky, today, 11/27/2022.
Bought 3 items, prices on shelf added up to $14.98, but when they scanned at the register, they were $19.27? That is over 30% above posted shelf prices, just on the 3 items I purchased, there are thousands of items in this store, if that is the norm, they are making a killing off of the consumer.
Does every retailer just change prices in the computer and not change the prices on the shelf, now?
They seemed to be adequately staffed, are they just fleecing the public, because they can, or what is the thinking behind all these issues, it seems to be sweeping the country.
Maybe all states need to start suing retailers, like Ohio is, maybe that would bring them back to earth?
My husband and I bought a precooked meal. When I say precooked meal you are thinking someone in deli cooked it we thought it would be in take out containers. Our dinner was frozen. They were from the frozen section. I could have went and bought the same thing myself. Worst thanksgiving ever. When I picked it up the lady said our dinner would be perfect. Wow
Kroger sends out flyers in the US mail and their app and then never has items in stock. Ask the employees and they all say is because of corporate. They have raised their prices by at least 30-40 percent along with not have items in stock. Going to change to Meijr's.
Answer: Kroger began cheating people out of money at their self checkouts.
Answer: I tried for 2 hours to get in touch with a human. Chat agent, Yelhen let me sit there and then went AWOL. Called every 800 number I could find...impossible to get past the bots. I called the local store in Livonia,,MI - phone rings, then you get music, phone rings then get music, I was in that loop for 15 minutes. The only way to get ahold of a human is to go to a store, they can't blow you off then. Do not ever start me their over priced products.
