We highly recommend Koodo Store Rep. MANMEET KAUR (Shoppers World, Brampton). She was very knowledgeable and very courteous and had a lot of patience with us as we are not tech savvy.
On black friday I went to the koodo store and opened up an account on my own cause I was on my husband's plan so the sales rep told me there was a deal going on where I pay 35 dollars for the first year and 45 dollars after that but when I got my first bill it was 45 dollars so I went back to the store to find out what was going on so the manager called koodo and they said that the deal had e paired when I got my phone and they wouldn't do anything about it so I called koodo myself and they told me that the sales rep lied to me and he knew the deal had already expired and that they will do nothing to help me
I called to get information about the holiday plans and got the worst 2 representatives. First person I had no idea what he was saying on the phone. Asked to transfer to Cancellation department and spoke with rep. Ulysse. He was extremely rude when i asked to give me the offers which i didn't understand what the other rep was saying. So he kept telling me to cancel my plan because there is nothing else they can do. So i said i will shop around and call back if i decide to cancel but he was insistent that i should cancel right away and don't waste my time calling back. HOW DISRESPECTFUL! What kind of customer service is this? ESPECIALLY DURING THE HOLIDAYS!
Everybody give their credit card details to avoid hassles regarding payment. My credit card expired and everyone I had business send me a email to update my info. But Koodo won't do that, they just jump to report a credit deterioration! I was applying for mortagage and gave me a head ache. So be careful... they are pitiless!
Switched from Palace to Koodo, took a monthly plan, they butchered my name on file (only knew this after the fact). So when it came time to pay, my credit card got declined. I tried paying seven times online even called in. So I decided to go in person to pay and switch to a prepaid plan ( for help from the representative). The booked me with their call automated system. The representative told me that both these operations could be resolved over the telephone. When time for the call, the person see that I tried to pay would not remove late fees, even though I tried prior to the date multiple times. When I asked to switch to the Prepaid Plan, I didn't know at the time that I needed a new SIM card and that the teller at the cash did not mention any of this. So the next day I go back in person, after a few back and forth as per usual, the manager recognizes the issue, he tried to call the phone service to help me out. They began fighting with words. On top of that is broken and the other is really tired so I shouldn't have been walking. They won't accept my credit card under any circumstance so their solution was for me to go by a loaded credit card, this cost me $7.95 surcharge. I also got charge the late fees. I only accepted to pay this because I wanted to switch to the prepaid as quickly as possible. So I paid with the visa card that I got at the pharmacy. Then when it was time to pay for the SIM card and the service accepted the credit card that they had refused the whole time. It has been a nightmare with Koodo and I was with Telus 10 years prior. They both treated me like a second-class citizen. The end.
Do you value your credit rating? Kudoo will report a late payment immediately to the credit bureau even without sending a bill or saying you were reported. In 10 months of service they reported me three times, without sending notice or dusrupting service to my knowledge. The amounts overdue were about $60 bucks. I know - what billion dollar company reports to your bureau multiple times for such pocket change? Kudoo (Telus) is the only company I know.
They don't have paper bills to mail anymore, and they have a convoluted self-serve system that is flakey. They sent me links to get on to their system that were broken so no billing access. Then when I called to ask what was going on they blamed it on me that I didn't logon. That was after they screwed up my credit. My recommendation? Avoid. It's bad enough they are a poor mobile company, but when they screw up your mortgage and loan rates that is simply deceitful
Have been out of country and unable to cancel my account! I have been paying THREE months now without any means of cancelling other than calling or through facebook assistant. I cannot call because i am out of country, I even had a friend try to call with my information and it has not worked! I have spoken to representatives of Koodo on their facebook group multiple times with the same steps (facebook verification, clearing browsing history, etc.) and every time it does not work. One person even said I am "the only person entitled to cancel my account" when NOT EVEN I can cancel it. Horrible customer service, and phone provider. Wish i could put zero stars
I lost 2 emergency flooding jobs because this Mickey mouse company cut off my service 6 days before the bill was due. I requested a call back and I was supposed to be contacted in 24 hours. 5 days later and still no call I had to call them. Disgusting. I went to a different provider for half the money and twice the service. People wake up please this company should not be in existence.
WORST COMPANY! I have had nothing but problems with this company. From adding charges on my bill or not explaining to me that I would be charged for something I was inquiring about.
I cancelled in June, paid may outstanding balance, and TODAY in the middle of August I am told I had an overdue bill! I called asking why I am receiving this and they said back in May I had extra charges "they did not see" for my final bill in June. Not only that but they contacted me 6 DAYS AFTER bill was suppose to be due telling me they could not contact me before. They clearly still had all my information so they did not try contacting me. Instead they contact me when my credit score starts to become affected.
WORST COMPANY EVER! They do nothing but contradict themselves. And I have been with them for years and they couldn't do ANYTHING for me for being a loyal customer before hand. Even when I was a customer they do NOTHING for you. After taking 30 minutes off work to explain why I should not be paying for their f*** up they only offered me $1 off... are you kidding me?!?

Stay away from Koodo. They will lie and auction their mother to get any money. The whole Telus organization out to scam as soon as you make any contact with them.
Paid off my account and asked to close off my account. After receiving my payment send off my account to collection while I was out of the country few years. Upon finding out asking them to correct was total nightmare. Lies after lies to this day. I escalated my complaint with Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS). Here is how Koodo responded to CCTS with their lies.

I have been a koodo mobile customer for over an year and have been on a pre payment plan. My credit card was billed every month. My last invoice had 2 months on the bill stating my payment did not go through, they charged me a $25,00 fee and I had enough credit on my card. All my other pre payments for other bills went through. The 1st lady I spoke to was Pamala who refused to waive my fee and then when I was on the phone ran a charge for $148.37 including the late fee. Then I was on hold for over 1/2 when she said wait time was 11 min. Then I got Laura from the cancellation who said that she was the supervisor on duty, she had the audacity to tell me as a customer when I explained I had enough money and was will to send them a copy of my statement she said When I explained I have always paid my bills on time and this is a error on their part and I have never heard a bank charge 25.00 for a credit card not going through she said that's life. Koodo was willing let a good customer go I canceled my service with Immediate effect and she was not even sorry to see a customer go. Please friends do not use this company as their service is awful and they play out hard working folk like you & me. Never again. I do have a Telus Line as well and will be canceling with immediate effect. I never never been treated this way ever as a customer.

Not only there billing department is incompetent there customer service is worst.
First they will lour you within offer to get into one of their TAB program and then the overbilling starts. When you try to contact them to correct by calling it takes them over an hour to take your call every time.
Customer service will try to entice you with few dollars Credit until you check your next bill for a surprise.
When finally I had enough and told them firmly to cancel my account. Customer service rap had audacity to tell me that if you cancel your number will be on hold for 90 Days.
Online customer support is automated so you cannot get the answer to your question. If you call to actually speak with a person you are charged extra. The process is so frustrating that they force you to just pay the unwarranted extra charges so that you dont have to try and get assistance!
If you were thinking of signing up for Koodo, don't walk, RUN AWAY.

My experience with Koodo has been absolutely terrible. I recently got a Samsung galaxy S10 with Koodo and after 16 days of having the phone it keeps restarting randomly. I purchased the phone through a retail outlet(best buy). I took the phone into best buy and was told I was over their 14 day return, they said to contact Koodo to see if they would authorize the exchange. I contacted Koodo and was told by the rep to take the phone to a Koodo dealer in my city and they would have the power to exchange my device. I was then sent by the manager at the Koodo store back to best buy because he said the rep on the phone was wrong and the exchange had to be done through best buy as that's where I got it. When I got back to best buy they were ready to exchange it but we had to call Koodo once again for authorization. Because I was one day over the 15 day return/exchange I was told they would have to send my phone away for repair. I declined as I cant be without a phone, nor should I have to be. This is a 1200$ smartphone that is defective and Koodo has done nothing to remedy the situation. I will NEVER do business with them after my contract is up, and I will make anyone and everyone who asks aware of their terrible customer service. Not a happy customer.
After I paid up my tab and bill to close my account I got a notice 5 months later from a collection agency. Yes they want to steal more money. STAY CLEAR FROM THESE THIEVES

I brought my phone back under the 15 day return policy. Asked if I owed anything and the koodo employee told me they couldn't tell me if I did and to call customer service. So I called customer service and asked if I owed anything. They said it was too soon go be able to tell and that they would call me to notify me if I had any outstanding balance. They had my email, phone number and address and I heard nothing from them. All the while koodo is charging me for an account I no longer have and directly giving Equifax a 2 non payment from me lowering my credit score 72 points. The only reason I found out was because I'm registered with credit karma and they informed me. Then they give me a hard time sending a form into Equifax explaining the situation. Im astonished that if a company thinks you owe them money, they don't send you a bill or notification of any kind? I worked really hard on my credit score koodo. You'll never have mine or my family's business again.
I recently joined Koodo Mobile. It was a very easy process, I picked the mobile phone I wanted, no money down. Started a Tab with them to purchase phone $15/month.
I then picked the plan that best suited my needs. $50/month 1G Data, unlimited canada talk and text.
The phone was delivered brand new to my house in 3 days.
Approx. 6 weeks after purchase I was looking for another mobile phone for daughter and noticed they had a great special on their plans. I changed my plan in less than a minute, it went into effect immediately. I now pay $45/month for 3G data, unlimited talk and text in Canada. I pay less then original plan and get more.
Koodo allows you to change your plan every 30 days. No need to worry your not getting the best rate available. Much easier to deal with the some of the "BIG" companies in Canada
Answer: After 5 years of loyalty and many After 5 years of loyalty and many instances of deep frustration at there lack of honest customer service, this company has seriously let me down during covid19... 3 days and 3 "managers" later I am still unable to get a straightforward solution... in quarantine, need data... RIP off 100mbs for $10! I added data but because of text lag on their part ordered twice... charged $12 for 300mb... twice... price gouging company seriously use their customers in small dishonest ways to add big money to your bill... in the end the third manager promised me a new plan for my wife and I... 20gigs of data for $70... today I am cut off and my plan is unchanged (manager didnt complete it properly) and my wife is being charged $85... this isnt the first time they've made "errors" like this... they stall you, overcharge you and make it very difficult for you to reach an actual human rep... they should be charged for upping there fees in this crisis... they actually increased fees for extra data since it started... one of the worst Canadian companies I have ever dealt with... honestly feel they have no regard whatsoever for the humanity in their business... they are all about the money and it consistently shows and comes back on their customers... read the reviews... Do not use this company unless you like the experience of being sidetracked and rippedoff
