Many customers report issues with faulty products, lack of effective communication, and difficulties in obtaining refunds or exchanges. The automated nature of their customer support is frequently criticized, leading to frustration among buyers seeking assistance. FRAUDE! Misleading by advertising wrong product and sending different product. Kogan is responsible, too.
Worst seller according to my personal experience and reviews on other websites! Seller claims they are selling Artiss Office Chair Computer Desk Gaming Chairs and put all photos of this item while has sent me different product which is totally different from what they are advertising on their page on kogan. Immediate refund is needed!

Kogan sent me a faulty BOSE QC 45 headphones with mic that does not work. I have run through the automated process of returning the item and got the automated response "Thanks for contacting the Kogan.com Help Desk. This is just a quick email to let you know that we have received your enquiry. For reference, your ticket number is *******". I don't receive any other emails in my inbox or spam. Triggered this process 4 times now and received 4 automated emails with no follow up over a week period. Im going to have to go the legal route now. They are trying to avoid there responsibility by law. I'll follow up with the next steps I follow so others can copy as they must do this to everyone.

Kogan continue to send me emails and text messages even after several un-subscribe requests over several months. My partner also got hit with the $99 Kogan First scam. Luckily she picked it up early and prior to the money leaving our account and cancelled the payment with our bank and PayPal. I've reported them to The Australian Media and Communications Authority (ACMA). This government authority is likely a toothless tiger but it will be interesting to see if anything happens. I encourage everyone who has a complaint about Kogan in relation to receiving un-subscribed emails and text messages and the Kogan First scam to report them to ACMA https://www.acma.gov.au/. Sometimes strength in numbers does work.

The customer service experience has been extremely frustrating. They double-charged my Kogan mobile plan, and since they don't have a contact number in NZ for customer support, I had to email them. The support staff keeps asking for my credit card details to confirm the issue. I'm puzzled as to why they need my credit card details when they already have it in their system. I believe they can verify my identity through other means, and I don't feel comfortable sharing my credit card details. This is ridiculous

Additionally, I decided to terminate their service and disable the auto top-up feature a month ago, but it continues to charge me. To make matters worse, I discovered that they charged me for the full month's plan just two days before I canceled. I emailed the staff, but they have been unable to provide a satisfactory answer. It's been over two weeks, and despite suggesting that they consult their manager if there's a language barrier, no action has been taken. Just keep ignoring my questions

I call the customer service number on the main Kogan Website, then refer to the Australia Department. They said NZ doesn't have customer service to contact (but that's the only number on the website). The AU staff pretty much just saying is none of business and her attitude is very bad as well.

I've request the staff in my email to forward my request to his manager who can understand English, but never happened. There is no other way I can make the complaint. So I have to post it here. Ridiculous!

Very dodgy!
September 27, 2023

I bought a mini desktop computer from these people which ended up extremely slow (slower than my old computer). When I started considering returning it because they offer a 14 days trial, I then realized that the trial does not mean refund. They simply give you some credit and you must buy something else from them so the 14 days trial is a very misleading way to make people believe that this involves refund. Also important is that the 14 days trial does not start from the date you receive that actual item, but it starts from the very time you make the purchase online and it takes at least one week or more to get it delivered. So, technically there is no 14 days trial. When you go and write a review on their website, in most cases you get a computer-based and generic reply pretending that they are willing to help you but the message doesn't address the actual facts raised by the customer. Worse than that is that you get charged by default for some kind of annual membership worth around $99 without letting the customer know. Thankfully, I saw many reviewers raising that issue and quickly went and cancelled it. Even the way their website is set up makes it so difficult to cancel the membership within the so-called "14 days trial" because you keep getting different options or sometimes the option of cancelling that membership doesn't work to make it almost impossible to executing the actual task. By the way, this issue was reported by others. I am surprised that these people can operate legally in Australia. My simple advice is to keep away from them!

Kogan is utter rubbish
September 22, 2023

Kogan has basement third world muppets who cannot supply the correct information to operate your SIM card whenever you need to replace your new phone. The owner smells of dotcom type criminal behaviour, just doesn't care a jot about customers. Three days so far to get information to no avail.

Hi just be careful if you are thinking of buying anything from them. You buy something and somewhere in the fine print there is a automatic membership charge of $99 per year automatically deducted from your bank account

BEWARE OF KOGAN!
September 7, 2023

Same as everyone else, I was charged the $99 annual membership fee 2 weeks after purchase.
I unticked everything I can untick, said no to everything. I am 100% sure that opted out of the annual membership - - but apparently the elusive T&C membership fee details that 'I missed'. I normally use a card with very low balance, but I needed to purchase something online and as soon as I transferred funds - debit came out! I don't know what their game plan is, but it's obviously not to be a reliable, trustworthy company that people would want to come back to purchase. I would never buy anything from this company ever again.

Used Kogan for first time. Purchased a product, with delivery method they threw in a free trial of some sort (KOGAN FIRST). I paid for my product with pay pal account. After their free trial ended/after 28 days they "AUTOMATICALLY" deducted $99 from my pay pal account? So, No choice, no emails, they just took $99 from my Pay Pal account!
I opened up a dispute from Pay Pal end/unauthorized payment, Pay Pal said, bad luck, nothing they could do! As it was automated... I contacted Kogan customer support 3 times, worried that I had been stung out of $100 dollars and am struggling with life financially atm, like most of us.
I DEMANDED they refund my money and I cancelled the membership. Scary thing is, I cant seem to remove my pay pal acc details/first choice of payment. So all good, I will simply cancel my account and NEVER shop with these thieves again. ## WARNING ## They take money with your last payment details out of your account with out consent. DISGUSTING! Im out. NEVER again.

Me, like many others, are without consent signed up for a scam "loyalty" program and hit with a bogus charge without warning. What gives away the without consent part is there are monthly and yearly charges. I did not get to choose, did not get to see T&Cs and got hit with the highest, yearly charge automatically. There is no way to contact them directly, it's all automated. Beware this company, very dodgy.

Kogan first is a scam
August 3, 2023

The first you will hear of Kogan First is when they take $99 from your credit card. They do not send you any confirmation that you have signed up (whether intentionally or not) so the only reason you know that they are charging you is if you check your bank statements and see a $99 charge that comes out of the blue.

Made a purchase through Kogan and somehow during checkout I was signed up for Kogan First and charged $99 for it 2 weeks later. You would think Kogan would be reasonable and return my money. But they stick to their guns with this and keep the money because the whole thing is a purposeful swindle and a trap. Won't be giving any more money to these crooks.

Edit: Managed to have them agree to a refund after a couple of attempts with their customer support service and opening a PayPal dispute.

Yeah, I've literally had the worst purchase experience ever with both Kogan & this seller HeyBattery.

First, the item took a month to be delivered. Please consider this when you are buying a phone, if you need a phone urgently, do not buy from this seller as they are overseas.

After waiting a month, I found out that they sent me the wrong phone. Rather than fixing the issue at their inconvenience, the seller expected me to post the phone back, and wait a month for them to receive it, after which they MAY determine that a refund can be issued, or a replacement handset be sent. This would ultimately result in me being without a phone for <3mths!

Finally, Kogan themselves were no more help. They were happy to take my money, but did not lift a finger to either push the seller for a fair resolution or provide any options or resolutions themselves.

Do yourself a favour, pay a bit more money and buy your phones locally...NOT THROUGH KOGAN!
