Kogan's reputation is significantly marred by recurring complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Many customers report issues with faulty products, lack of effective communication, and difficulties in obtaining refunds or exchanges. The automated nature of their customer support is frequently criticized, leading to frustration among buyers seeking assistance. Conversely, some customers do express satisfaction with specific products, particularly electronics that function well over time. Overall, while there are positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment highlights a troubling pattern of inadequate support and misleading practices, prompting recommendations for potential buyers to exercise caution.

Kogan will illegally sign you up to their monthly subscription service at $79/month WITHOUT YOU CONSENTING TO IT. Please check your details before buying as they will expect you to opt OUT instead of opt IN which is MISLEADING AND DECEPTIVE CONDUCT. Think carefully before buying anything here, they are shady AF
Money taken out of account
After receiving my product, I found 79$ has been taken from my account. I don't know why they took the money. I've tried calling but all the numbers are not working. I've tried live chat but no proper response
Please be aware of their subscription
Criminals! Charged me for a full year before my trial period had ended.Don't be fooled people, it's not a free trial at all, they will charge you before the free period ends.
Scam site, nothing gets delivered. Probably less than helpful when asking for help. Oh, its your problem, none of our business type of attitude. Never again buy with them.
Annual subscription box ticked automatically when I bought a phone protector week later charged $80 for membership!
Avoid this site. I ordered a Kogan 1800W Compact Flame Effect Heater for nearly $100 and it was nothing but a hairdryer that made more noise than produced heat. Even the flame effect on its own made a very annoying sound. Very very poor quality product. Furthermore, they offered free shipping if signing up for membership but the fact that they were going to charge $7 a month without notification was not clearly advised.
I ordered an electronic item which was supposed to arrive within 3-5 days has still not arrived, it is now 23 days late. On checking with Kogan Customer Service more than 3 times already), they refer to the vendor who responds that it is coming pls wait and there is no tracking on small items, and on the third contact, mentioned we will ship another item out, but nothing has arrived. On requesting a refund, Kogan does not respond to the refund request but send mail for vendor to respond.
I am wasting an awful lot of time for a $29 item, I wonder how many people are caught out this way, just disregard the follow-up and take the loss.
Beware when you use Kogan marketplace with unscrupulous vendors, better off with the more reliable global marketplaces.
Its very difficult to return any of the product, they gave there reasons and standard forit. I never use Kogan again, only to discover it had already signed me up to Kogan First for $59 and auto-debited my bank account and on top of that they deducted $79 not $59. They will claim the forced-upon and unwanted 14-day trial period had expired. No warning of autodebit and autorenewal prior to enactment or option to cancel. Its like a trick to make you fool.
Tip for consumers:
Be wary of a $59 Kogan First membership tacked onto price unless you intend to do a lot of shopping with Kogan over the next 12 months.
I received a coupon code too early, and it was expired. Speaking with Kogan employees is generally a pain, and before I received my plan last year, we had to speak every day for about a month! It occurs frequently among Kogan employees, but Akshay makes it simple and clear. He updated the coupon code and automatically entered it for me.
I ordered nonstick pan and got my order on 30th of july, i filled my card details for that. Everything was ok i got my product but i checked my account, it shows they deducted $59 on 14aug, i didn't order anything. Customers dont fill there details so that they can deduct whenever they want to. $#*! website
Dont buy from Value Village they will state a refund is sent but no proof of a refund and actually wanted my bank statement to prove a refund went threw. Month later taking legal action to recover my cash. Bad customer service via kogan
I have ordered a lithium battery from Kogan sold by Toughland (SMARTCHANNEL PTY LTD) They sent me an item that developed a fault at first use. I took video footage and let you know. They asked me to check the voltage and I took it to supercheap but they couldn't. I took it to the battery place to check it. They didn't bother themself because they didn't sell but after they watched the video they told me the battery is faulty. Toughland asked me to send it back, I took the battery to Toughland's courier depot within hours. The courier took it to Sydney but made it wait 1 week in their depot. After the courier delivered it to Toughland, they made it wait another week. Toughland lied to me about testing a few times and I proved it by their emails. Now, Toughland doesn't refund my money for the item I returned with original packaging. Kogan also doesn't step in at all.
After a difficult time with a mobile phone purchased from one of Kogan's third-party suppliers, including poor delivery service, I vowed to never use Kogan again, only to discover it had already signed me up to Kogan First for $59 and auto-debited my bank account. They will claim the forced-upon and unwanted 14-day trial period had expired. No warning of autodebit and autorenewal prior to enactment or option to cancel.
Don't buy mobile from
Kogan as they sell dodgy iPhone. I bought iPhone from kogan only few days dead with black screen cannot turn on. No customer service help! I emailed them lots of emails and request refund no reply. Please give me return address and refund me for this junk mobile! What miserable experience to shop at kogan. Dodgy website!
Don't buy from Kogan unless you have hours and hours of time to waste dealing with them... the items we bought took over 3 weeks to arrive and now we have to put in a warranty claim and we are now 3 weeks into it and the items haven't even been picked up and now I am told to be available from 9 to 5 for the next 1 to 3 business days for pickup and if I will it they will not come again... TOTAL JOKE!
I am currently going thru some problems with an ebike I bought 8 months ago. A fault has developed and I have had a major F around trying to get a satisfactory outcome. Basically I am being offered $600 instead of the value it would cost to replace it. They no longer stock my model (says a lot there) and refuse to give replacement value. So to replace what I have in the current WA market, it will cost $1450. So I will be out almost $1000 when u factor the $107 P&P I will be losing. I will be going to ACCC next and will never spend another $ with Kogan (an Aussie group btw). I'm sure they were better before the fraud case of 2020 that cost them $350K in fines. I'm sure there will be more, after browsing the ACCC lists against them. In the interest of balance, they can be helpful, but only up to a point. A low point
Join the Kogan first and with the first two purchases, one sent the wrong item, and the seller acted very rudely about the product exchange. Another one with the cost of over $100 delivery they charged, I took the day off with wages lost but eventually, those guys were late again without any notice. They won't be able to leave it at the Australia post office and ask me to wait at home again.
I ordered something from Kogan.com today - they took my money and debited my account. They stated my item would be dispatched in 2 days. I then received an email 3 hours later stating they don't deliver to my area. I try to contact them about this but I had no response. I emailed a further 5 times and waiting hours for any response. I think the company is a joke! I looked for contact numbers online and even emailed asking how I could make a formal complaint but did not get an answer - surely this company can't be alow to act in the way? I would beg everyone never to use this company
I recently purchased a TV from Kogan, who unfortunately lost the item on delivery. As part of my purchase I signed up to the Kogan First program as it came with a signficant discount for my purchase. After the TV was not delivered, I cancelled my subscription, before the end of the free trial. They still charged my credit card, and so far I have not been able to get a response from Kogan on this matter. They do not have phone numbers to ring, and their online complaints process is frustrating to say the least. I will never purchase from Kogan again, and would recomend the same to others
I told they they had delivered to the wrong address and they they send my next order to the exact same wrong address.
I tried to fix it on their website which did not work, it came up with an error message and when I contacted them directly through their customer service they told me to change the address online which I did which still didn't work and I then got a message saying they had sent it to the wrong address again.
These guys are incompetent and they will not help you.
Do not buy from them!
Answer: Not only rubbish customer service, they won't give you a refund if your product doesn't arrive. - Check these out - https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/kogan-in-court-for-alleged-false-or-misleading-discount-advertisements https://www.choice.com.au/shopping/consumer-rights-and-advice/your-rights/articles/kogan-returns-and-refunds-issues I learnt the hard way so save your safe the time and stress and go elsewhere.
Answer: Stay away from Kogan - I think you have by default signed up for some crap Kogan First Club - if you didn't unsubscibe within 14 days, they then hit you with a membership fee
Answer: No they just say they will get back to you eventually but they never do
