Someone is posting ads on Kijiji for expensive video game equipment and sending people to my home. They ask the buyer to e-transfer them money for the video game items. Of course, it is a scam. But when I contacted Kijiji by email to alert them to this scam - and to the fact that I am concerned because random people are being sent to my home - they didn't offer any help.

BUT, when I created a Kijiji ad to WARN people about the scam - they refused to post my warning. Absolutely sick.

I would NOT recommend Kijiji.

There are so many scammer who use kijiji to make money. But the company never does anything to protect their client. Especially in the puppy section. The kijiji also closed their live chat of help center. So you cannot report to them. Kijiji provides a lot of help to scammers.

Kijiji is supposed to be the leader in buying and selling goods privately. Facebook is exceeding them in every way! I'm ready to delete the app and never buy on this site again. The rating system is nonexistent and a total joke. Sellers don't get back to you and if you press on ‘report the conversation', it immediately gets completely blocked. Why would ‘report' mean ‘block'?!
Then it's impossible to unblock!
I have a 5 star rating x 10, when I have successfully bought from satisfied sellers about 100 times!
Customer service & reporting is also a joke! Your only choices are from their stupid little template. A convenient way for them not to have any interaction with our problem or concerns! I had to come onto this site to voice my complaint. Their are many ways that Kijiji could improve their site & service, but I guess they think because they are the founders that they can't be surpassed by others...

I get 3 or 4 messages lately that ask "is this still available?"
Not only is that a dumb question. But when I answer, they NEVER answer. It's gotten so bad that I'm starting to think these are bots. Or everyone is slowly turning into a flaky $#*!. I've started screenshotting the conversations I have because of how stupid they are. Not only that, no matter what/where you search, you always get ******* dealer ads, and ads from across the damn country.
0% positive reviews in the last year? Not suprised. Kijiji is dead. Let's kill it and move on.

I was helping a friend create an account, and needed to get a password reset. So I started a live chat with them and all they said was that they can't do anything about it. Then they closed the window. I opened another chat window to finish the conversation, and all they said was the account has been blocked with no explanation. Do not use their service.

Kijiji is absolute garbage don't waste your money advertising on this platform, I placed an ad completely followed all there rules, they took my money then delete my ad and send me a message telling me they don't want my business and to go find a different platform? What did I do? Maybe an explanation of why exactly you stole my money and canceled my ad would be nice, don't bother with these crooks people I've had a few friends that have had the same issue with kijiji

I had my add up on Kijiji and facebook market place, had the same description, price and photos up on both and I got two scam emails from Kijiji. On market place I had 10 plus texts about serious inquiries. To get anywhere with this app you have to pay money to promote which is bull because people still have to go on Kijiji to see it. It's a bad website/app and it's a complicated waste of time to put an app on there. Kijiji sucks if you want to sell anything within the century

In these past 2 years, kijiji has grown worse with scam calls, fake ads, and illegal things for sale. It's being used to piggy back and create hidden jobs where people embezzel massive $ for things like reptile breeding, creation kits, rebuy and resell people getting free things for resale all kinds of buisness taking advantage of a free advertisement and to undercut others kijiji should have a buisness side for stores and not let things like donation stores be able to push what they have for sale on it. There's alot gone wrong with what is supposs to be a yard sale site to the public. 95% of all conversations end in no transaction, in lies from your counter part and not showing up or wasting your time. There needs to be a review system for these type of users, I've learned to not give my address or meet location until they are on route now and demand down payment for anything to be picked up longer then 12 - 24 hours due to the immense waste people leave by using this site. I've also purchased things where the user lies and doesn't message back Sells you bad stuff and high tails it with your money. And another situation I'll never forget of a user showing up grabbing the stuff and running out the door. *called the police guy used fake e mail ip addresses matched a library over 2 hours drive away and the culprit never caught* 4 out of 10 times its a bad experience on here and this site needs alot more security features and more defining sections to stop salvation army from posting their donations for sale and undercut others.

I was ripped off by a guy selling silver and gold coins on kijiji. I reported him to kijiji and they didn't do anything about it. I followed up with emails and phone calls to kijiji. They banned me! I called them out because they wouldn't remove him from kijiji. They lied and said they were looking into it. A month went by and he was still on there selling counterfeit coins. I even reported him to the RCMP. Even they did nothing. So I contacted kijiji again to ask why they hadn't banned the criminal and they banned me. Go figure.

I purchased a laptop from a guy who I think is a scammer his profile shows that he is a member for 10 year and I guess all these years he was scamming people. The sad point is that you cant even write a review about the seller or the product so welcome to the circle of scammers and victims. And as a victim you cant even report to Kijiji because they don't care

Coast to coast Kijiji couldn't score a 5 star review in the last year, these are the people that expect you to maintain a 95% feedback on ebay while they throw nothing but scammers and cheapskates your way. Kijiji is pure garbage with harmful web technologies. The employees and company are trash, the users are mostly idiots and the scammers are dirtbags from overseas. That makes up kijiji in a nutshell. Kijji is designed for exploiting end users for the data and if you're stupid for ad fees. The automated buttons are used by scammers and shady companies to collect data, thanks to the idiots at kjijii, a scammer needs little work to click the buttons and start collecting data with bots. Ebay and kijiji love this so much as its their traffic generator, you must at least come back and log in to reply to tell them off or you suffer a big hit in your rating for not accepting scams, that is why they forced the reply rate feature on you, without it the scammers and tracking from kijiji would never work because nobody replies to third world scammers. Like I said, scum company and just like at ebay they make it impossible to contact them after they implement these anti-user / pro scammer features. Co-incedence?

I was taken off because someone else made in appropriate suggestions under my community friendship ad. Not my fault I did not ask or welcome those suggestions, nor was I looking to date.it was a friendship community posting. Bad publicity for them a senior living alone is cut off from trying to connect. Shame on them

I have been a active paid member of Kijiji for 15 years! Which to me creates online credibility! My password was compromised, email not working and they couldn't help me EXCEPT CANCEL that profile! I was not pleased with this at all!

I set up another profile and Kijiji deletes my ads? Not sure what this is all about but it's not good business practice! Sent the help desk SEVERAL messages! Several messages on their Facebook page and nothing! The overall experience is starting to fade and I will be looking for alternative sites to use for our businesses as it appears the staff at Kijiji are in COMAS

I was posting on Kijiji and paying extra for top placement for some business ads I made. I guess this alerted their inside sales to call me to offer a Kijiji business account. A salesman called me and told me how I could save money by paying a monthly fee, giving me x amount of top add placements. He was good at overcoming any objections and I signed up.

After using the services for a few months I cancelled as I was not seeing the ROI as I thought I would. After cancelling, I continued to see bills coming my way. I called billing and they said this was an error. So I didn't think anything of it. Then the second month of bills since cancellation came in. It took multiple points of contact to get in touch with my sales rep. Finally he emailed back saying he said he would call. Which if you look at the attached image, those promises were empty. Finally after speaking to him, he said I agreed to paying for 60 days post cancellation. I asked him why he didn't tell me about this in the sales pitch. He said he did. Which he CERTAINLY did not.

Over $1000 down the pipe with no ROI or help with these guys.

Be cautious when signing up for their business accounts. There are financial traps that keep you tied financially and your account rep give 0 care to help you out which rendering your service or after. They just care about making the sale and locking you in.

See typical conversations with the sales rep. Broken promises that they will call you back with never ending excuses. Very poor client care.

Its not an exaggeration to say that I HATE Facebook... its even less of an exaggeration to say that my hatred of Kijiji has grown 1000 fold over the last 3 years. Okay... hyperbole aside, as of Jan 2021, in all honesty, I pains me to have to admit that my ads on FB marketplace now get 20 times more responses then my ads on Kijiji. Kijiji has become the new Craigslist... a dead marketplace where no one goes.

Bottom line... As of Jan 2021... FB Marketplace sells my stuff... Kijiji does not.

Almost every time you post something there's an issue and when you want to work with them they treat you like a hassle. They've actually blocked my live chat option, it's very frustrating. Especially when they're trying to wrongfully charge for a free ad. Overall I don't recommend using their site but they remain a large platform for many users, unfortunately.

I used to use this site for years before it changed. It was great. Now its pure $H!%. Just read some of the other reviews. If you want to avoid frustration and anger and avoid wasting your time and money. Just use craigslist. Im done with this garbage. Good luck.

Put up a PAID ad they took it down the same day and took a payment the next! They don't even give you an explanation! They just cut off the live chat when they want! Very dishonest. Next step BBB

How many times, ways, or emails, passwords ect. Do you have to give others the E X A C T same loser zero results? I cant send a message to any seller no matter how hard I try!
