Borderline the worst connection to a major website I've ever encountered. Whether it's the app or the website, I am constantly hampered by connection errors on their end.

That's besides the fact they never ever investigated reported ads. I see so many counterfeit/spam/illegal postings that stay up for months. Kijiji is the online equivalent to your local slumlord. Puts up the bare minimum so they get their ad revenue and does zero customer service or anything proactive.

So I saw an ad with something on Kijiji Ottawa that I wanted and checked the location. The Kijiji postcode showed that the seller's location was right downtown and easy reach by walking so I contacted him and made an offer.
When we agreed and I asked for his address, he gave me somewhere way down south of the city as his address which would have meant a much longer journey. I told him I was not happy with this and he then gave me a location in Renfrew to pick up or give him $10 to drop it off. I explained to him that I made the offer to buy based on his apparent close location and I really didn't want to travel that far or give him $10. He told me "no worry" and we parted amicably.
The next thing I know is that he gave me a negative review as someone who didn't show up and it was too late for me to respond. The fact that he has the wrong location in Kijiji (and he still has it, weeks later) suggests to me that HE is the one who needs the negative review but now I have no way to get this rescinded.

Can someone please develop a different place to buy and sell, Kijiji is so big and corrupt they don't care about nothing and monitor themselves, they have a review system that is so biased towards seller if you don't give what the buyer wants for a price, then they give you a negative review and I contacted Kijiji on this and they told me the only person that can change it is the person that left the negative review and they only have a week then its permanent.
Why cant we leave a review about you on your site Kijiji, because you know it would be a high percent negative.

I'm sorry but I have nothing good leeft to say about kijiji. I used to use it regularly, any time I had something. I'd throw a craigslist ad up and a kijiji ad. Now, you can't even get a list of ads you want without sponsored ads shoved in your face, ignoring your sorting settings, can't usefully optimize your post searches to get through the stuff you don't want any faster, and you can't even select text of an ad title (to look up an item in another window or some such) without it smacking you in the face with the whole ad. Hey, I didn't want to open that yet, I want to stay on my list and keep my position and methodically search the ads for something specific. Nope. Your browsing flow doesnt apply here. You cannot, for example, right click, open ad in another tab or window. Big no no, now they control when you can even find a clickable link that you can save or put aside without using their buttons. Who does this serve? People dumb enough to pay kijiji directly to shove ads at a rapidly shrinking customer base. Hope their branding imprint in peoples minds lasts until somebody remakes craigslist properly. Until then facebook marketplace is actually MORE FULL FEATURED and less forceful in its sale browsing formatting. Good job losing to a subsection of a completely non-personal-sales-oriented site, kijiji.

11+ years on Kijiji. Not always great experiences. Met some great people, and some total idiots. Much patience required, but since it's 100% free I can't complain really. Until I seen Kijiji reviews. What is this supposed to accomplish? Just what we need! More anxiety, anger and frustration. Totally unnecessary, and wrong on so many levels. How can this system be properly monitored? It's not like eBay (which is buyer biased also), where there is at least evidence of a transaction. Don't fix what's not broken. Common sense is scarce these days. Hey Kijiji, can I please get some credit for the hundreds of positive transactions I've had in the past 11 years? This is as dumb as it gets
