Nasty KFC Elmhurst IL

Extremely disappointing experience at this KFC. The integrity of the food was unacceptable. Several pieces of chicken looked as if they had already been eaten, while other pieces were poor quality, deformed, and clearly not up to standard. To make matters worse, there was lint/hair attached to the food, which is completely unhygienic and unacceptable.
When I raised this issue, the manager was rude and dismissive. Customer service was no help at all and only offered a partial refund, despite the seriousness of the problem. There was no apology or genuine attempt to resolve the situation.
This experience has completely put me off. I expect far better food quality, hygiene, and customer service from a major chain like KFC.

FK KFC, I will never order from it again

Order was delivered to the wrong room. Never got my meal, a refund or any resolution after multiple attempts. They kept on tossing the issue to DoorDash and show 0 responsibility. If you want to waste your cash and get treated like garbage, by all means, order from KFC. Otherwise, run far, far away. They don't care about customers, they just want your money. Disgusting and unforgivable!

Tough chicken

I stopped at a local kfc. I ordered 3 chicken tenders to go. When I got home, they were very dry and tough. I could only eat 1 of them. Very expensive when paying over $7. I called the palmyra kfc. Got voice mail. I left me name and phone number. After 3 days not even a courteous return call. So, I called the corporate 800 number. Well, you guessed it. Again no return call. I will never go back to kfc. Not only is food not fresh, EVIDENTALLY fried beyond being edible, Al'so no customer service. They evidentally do not care they are cheating clients. When I think about my order. I placed order and drove up to window. No car in front of me, I immediately received my chicken. No waiting. This proves to me it was not just made. Please go elsewhere for fresh delicious chicken

The KFC app said that the order was ready. When I arrived, they hadn't even started working on it. I waited an hour, and when I kept on asking about the status, they said, "it's coming". I ended up leaving after more than an hour without receiving my food. I tried calling KFC customer service for over a week, and my money was never refunded. I was told that I would be contacted by the higher department, and I never was.

A employee assaulted me when trying to enter the store over a misunderstanding over a receipt. When I notified cooperate they had the same employee call me multiple times to tell me to f my mother. The store owner was also fully aware as I heard him on the phone with this employee when the situation happened in the first place. I'm glad the only line I see for kfc is the line of people leave bad reviews

Just to add to prior review the overall quality of the food has diminished greatly. It's sad too at a time when prices have skyrocketed making it almost completely unaffordable to dine out.

Poor quality

I have been going to the kfc in willowick for ages because it is so close to me, however the food is not good and proportions skimpy. I never get a receipt and will start going to the one in Willoughby. Never had this problem there!

Dissapointing when compared to quality 20 years ago

As a child, memories of KFC were accompanied with mouth-watering memories; however, it has been over 20 years since going through a KFC doorway. It is sad to think this was the last. First, the "online" ordering should have been a hint and indeed was when, no fault of the staff, nothing was transmitted to the nearby restaurant.

The food quality is what was of concern. Staff were accommodating and considerate. The Mac and Cheese were marginal at best. I make mine from scratch 90% of the time. The KFC 4 tablespoon container failed to impress for $3.70. Nothing like mugging a person with mediocre product to salvage stockholder value (never mind the consumerheld value!). I pitched it after 2 bites. It was a white sauce heavy with flour instead of cheese.

The pot pie was equally mediocre. This was a major disappointment given the reality someone on line "raved" about their pot pie. Even the coleslaw was not as I recall.

After realizing $14.00 was spent, I could have gone to my favorite family-owned Italian restaurant and had their marinara and spaghetti for $16.00 including a pleasant homemade soup with it. Lesson learned.

I do not believe YUM Brands has learned from this faltering reputation. The top five folks (Gibbs, Skeans, Turner, Powell, and Sami) have a combined compensation in 2023 of around 38 Million. Something is being missed here - - - probably not one could make homemade mac and cheese if their compensation package depended upon it. Sad.

Missing items and horrible customer service
August 24, 2024

I ordered a Door Dash from the KFC in Weirton, WV. First issue came when the Dasher sent me a message saying the food would be done sooner, except most of the staff was outside smoking. They then proceeded to only give me 2 out of 4 of my items. I called the store to tell them, manager was rude and said there was nothing they could do, and I should contact Door Dash.

I'm now sitting here with nothing to eat because they forgot my food. I also called the KFC corporate and they were not much more help than the store, they were however pleasant. I guess that might count for something, but not to a guy sitting here hungry.

-AM I EATING KFC?

Let me start by saying I am probably the biggest KFC CUSTOMER till yesterday, Tuesday, April 23,2024.

I have been eating KFC since I was knee high to a grasshopper n the unique taste of the food especially the chicken i never forgotten. I remember someone telling me its taste different so they stop going to KFC in Buckhorn, PA. I just thought we'll maybe she went late n had the sitting chicken until I had the pleasure of eating my favorite food of all time. The maker of KFC must be turning in his grave as well as screaming profanities.

The chicken I'm sorry to say taste horrible, like no taste. No spice not nice! Did they forget the secrete recipe? Mashed potatoes n gravy horrible! Mashed potatoes always been bland but the gravy made it all come together except my gravy of two individual sides were different shades of brown n again taste like nothing. Mac n cheese well more Mac then cheese. It saddens me that that Buckhorn KFC the only one in town has food that taste so disgusting.

So reflexing back on that person telling me it's was nasty tasting food at KFC was right bc I taste thst garbage that was giving to me n knowing the whole community who eats there have been tasting nothing. So I too won't be the garbage disposal for the trashy food I received. KFC u lost ur mojo!

RIP KFC

Sent my husband to pick us up two dinners. He came home with what appeared to be leftovers. I called KFC, and apologized for complaining about the chicken. It was dry. It appeared to be day old chicken, including the mashed potatoes and the biscuit would've made a nice hockey puck. She didn't believe me and said she was going to check the chicken and you could hear her loudly saying the chicken was hot. I told her I am sorry but it's not. She said we could bring it back and she would only replace what we had not ate. So we put everything back in the boxes. My husband returned with 3 wings and one chicken breast in one box. The chicken was hot and the wings appeared to be bigger this time. No biscuits no potatoes was replaced. The chicken breast no longer is the KFC recipe. Never will I ever go back. Place a headstone, it's over for KFC chicken. Place another stone for customer friendly service, loved this chicken but it is no more.

I was very surprised at the changes made in the last 8 months store was very clean all.tables wiped down windows clean was greeted as soon as I walked in manager was very nice took my order by the time I got drink food was ready and very good.hot food was hot Cole slaw was delicious chicken was hot and chicken was crispy manager has really turned this store around overall a great experience will go back enjoyed my visit manager was great

Very Disappointed!

First of all, let me just start with this, I loved KFC. This was my go-to place to get some fried chicken.

But the only reason for my low review is because I am disappointed in them. Why you ask? Because they took my favorite items off the menu.

First, they took away the potato wedges, fine, that was fine I said to myself. They have french fries so I didn't complain.

But...now that they took away the hot wings!? What is even the point of me going to KFC anymore?

I love the biscuits and fries but I can go anyplace for biscuits and fries. Those hot wings I love, they are just nonreplaceable and now they're not on the menu anymore KFC is off my list.

I'm sorry but, to get my business back please return the items I love.

Terrible service

I was picking up an ubereat order for a customer at kfc. I had to go through the drive thru because they had the inside doors locked. When I got to the window they said the order wasn't ready, I had to pull up. Before I pulled up i asked how long will it take, because if it's longer than 10 minutes I'll cancel the order. She said it won't be longer than 10 minutes. I proceeded to wait 15-20 minutes. I knocked on the door since it was locked to try to get their attention, no one came, so I called the restaurant. The lady I have an issue with answered the phone (she was rude and I didn't get her name but I have a video of her, the time and location of where she worked last so it shouldn't be hard to find her) she asked me what the name of the order was. I told her and she hung up...I called back because she didn't let me know anything, like how long it would be for the order. She ignored one of my called and picked up on the third time I called back. I asked her "hey I the uber guy, I wanted to know how long it was going to be" she snarled at me "I told you already" I was like "no you didn't you hung up on me". She told me I had to drive around and get back in line. Which I thought was rude and unfair because yall told me to pull up and had me waiting for like 20 minutes. I see there's no cars in line behind me so I go up to the window and ask for the order. (I have this part on video) I asked for the order. The lady is getting really snippy with me and telling me she canceled the order and I can leave. I'm asking how is the order canceled when you just told me it was ready for me. She said she's not going to argue with a doordash guy. I'm like I'm not arguing, I'm trying to get the customers food. She tells me to leave and unfortunately I didn't get her name. She was so angry and belligerent that she didn't even give me the customers food (costing not only me my time and money, I lost that $12.09 order but costing the restaurant money) she wasn't giving me her name

I too my kids ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ to KFC because that's what my baby girl ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ wanted never again their chicken ๐Ÿ— wasn't hot it was cold nuggets was nasty ๐Ÿคฎ and hard fries ๐ŸŸ was nasty ๐Ÿคฎ as wellโ€ฆ KFC. Well never get my money again Popeyes/ Churches has the best chicken ๐Ÿ—..

A big disappointment

Chicken Littles back in the 80s and 90s from what I can remember was amazing. They had a regular bun and not these sesame seeds sub buns. They only had chicken and mayo not pickles and they were fire. I could eat them all day every day you brought out these new chicken Littles and they are absolutely terrible. Please take them off the menu and bring back the old style Chicken Littles and I cannot believe that you took out the potato wedges and brought in french fries. They're over salted they aren't seasoned enough and they taste terrible. They're not crispy they're soggy. I absolutely hate them and I can't believe you took out the beans and the corn on the cob that was the best two things on the menu as a side item than the mashed potatoes and gravy and you discontinued the grilled chicken it should've been your best seller for us people trying to lose weight we always got the grilled chicken and it was freaking amazing now I don't even wanna go to KFC anymore. The food isn't as good as it used to be a total disappointment please fix it.

Your website is not user friendly. It says to select a location for prices which I tried to several times. Also would be nice to get a few pieces of chicken and a side. I shouldn't have to pay for a biscuit and drink if I don't want them.
