All photographic equipment I have ever bought from KEH has met my expectations and, overall, I found that the equipment usually was in a better condition than what I expected from the rating. The goods were always well packaged and delivery from the USA to Australia was within a reasonable and acceptable time frame. I find KEH reliable and have never had to return anything for exchange or refund that I have purchased. I don't remember when I bought both Nikon FM3A from KEH, but it was several years ago, and both are still working perfectly. I also bought a number of lenses and all of them were very clean and in great condition. Yes, I was a bit nervous about having a Nikon FM3A body sent from USA to Australia, but the first one was safely packed, arrived in perfect condition, worked perfectly, and so I did not hesitate to purchase a second FM3A as a back up. Should I ever need another camera body or lenses, I would not hesitate to purchase from KEH again.

I have been shopping KEH since they mailed catalogues. I enjoy their large selection and prompt shipping. Their prices are consistent with other internet sites that sell used camera equipment. Sadly, they have become less personal and lost the impression of a small business with a family feel. I recall the catalogue having a picture and note from the owner(?) and it felt like I was the member of a club or something. Now, the website has a sterile feel with stock images of folks holding a phone, with a caption saying "call now!" like a cheap newspaper paper for cars. The old catalogue prices seemed much more competative against camera shops, but with the transparency of internet shopping, there is less to set them apart. It is unfortunate they lost the personal touch.

The ratings for the quality of the products is always conservative (what KEH calls "Bargain" is Excellent at other dealers), the prices are always reasonable and the service is excellent. My only suggestions for improvements in the past have been easier search options and better support on smartphone browsers, and it appears KEH continues to upgrade and improve their website.

I rarely look at new equipment anymore given how confident I am in the quality of the used gear I can buy from KEH.
