If your a Canadian or any International buy, Don't buy from Karmaloop. They charge you for COD. I bought something for $40 and was charged $22 on duties + COD charge. Thats over 50%. When I saw the pick up slip, I immediately called Karmaloop and asked what was this about. The REP told me to go and pick up the item from the post office and would reimburse me $10. I went to pick up the package and paid the $22. I emailed her back providing her all the receipts and I get a email reply saying the following:
"Thanks for checking in! Customs/duties fees are applied to all international orders. Unfortunately, we are not responsible for these charges. These charges are determined by your local customs office. I look forward to your reply. Thanks!"
I called them the 2nd time very upset demanding why the REP had promised something on the phone but in the end was a lie. If she had told me that in the beginning, I would not have gone to the post office to paid for it. Let them send it back to Karmaloop. I would have had my own choice to decide to accept the full $22 fee or not. I was clearly mislead and had *trusted* this REP on the phone. The 2nd time I called back, they said the REP had never mentioned reimbursing me for anything. Trust me, you don't want to buy from people who you can't trust. Save your money and go buy somewhere else.
PS: Later they sent me a funny survey email asking me to fill it out and would give me a $5 coupon code the next time I shop at Karmaloop.
My response: No thanks. No wonder your company is called "Karma". I hope it "loops" back at you.
I am pissed. I have spend thousands of dollars with Karmaloop but this last order is my final straw. I collect Jeffrey Campbell shoes and I ordered the Hudson Gold Chain with standard international shipping, which normally takes 10 business days. After 25 days of NO package, I contact them. They get back to me a few days later and tell me to wait another week. I contacted them a week later ad then they told me to wait another week. I waited another week and now it has been 7 weeks since I placed that f***ing order. I was a Rep for these people, but I am now going to trash them on YouTube.
Takes a long time to do return or exchange. The client will pay for shipping. All the problems were resolved in the end, but the experience was not great :(
On the 12th of August I ordered a pair of converses off Karmaloop and got one of the last 2 pairs in stock. A couple weeks later I was told they would not ship until September 1st as it was delayed. I was told they had them on back order although I ordered them when they were still in stock, I also got a messge saying there was 15 in stock a few days later. After that I was emailed and told that they would ship them on the 5th of September (that day) it still did not happen. On the 12th I was then messaged told that there was another delay and the shoes would not be shipped until the 15th of October, they assured me that it would be shipped from their warehouse NO later than than the 15th of October. They told me that they would recieve the shoes on the 30th of September to ship to me by the 15th but had already told me they had them in stock before hand. It's now the 5th of november and I have waited 3 months since I ordered these shoes, they have not contacted me, even after they hadn't shipped 21 ago when they assured me it was the last time the dates would change and would ship no later than then! Have tried contacting them numerous times since then to each of the few email addresses given on their website and I have been contacted by none of them at all!
TO ALL CANADIAN CUSTOMERS, DO NOT SHOP WITH KARMALOOP! The duties and custom fees equate between 45-60% of your overall purchase price!
If you make and exchange on an item, dutie and customs will be reapplied to that item. Was not impressed with paying COD twice on the same item.
Well i bought a unif bundy jumper, and there was a good sale on, i found out the one item i wanted was not eligiable, the sale stated "... on orders over...". My order was well over that, it was misleading, i had one sales rep tell me i hadn't ordered enough, recieved item is faulty, they will not refund shipping as i paid for express to wear immediately, as im going for major surgery and will only be able to wear for a month, they will only refund shipping back after im out of pocket, when i paid for express this is unacceptable, their customer service is a joke! Stay away! So now im left to get it fixed at my own expense if i wish to wear it at all. You can find their brands elsewear, use those sites do not use karmaloop!
I was "happy" when I found out about the 30% off but when but I bought my 3 pairs of Dr. Martens it went downhill! I live in Canada, when i picked up my package i paid $101.00 more! Its like the 30% off that I saved from the website! It was such a SCAM! I wonder how can i report this kinda modus! Plus when I received the 3 pairs the other 2 doesn't fit because it was a FEMALE size 8 of Dr Martens! It don't show if their DM's are female or Men size! I couldn't send them back because of the shipping fee that I have to pay! Im thinking that i just sell them! I HATE that i have to go through this! I usually buy online but this! I WILL NEVER BUY THINGS from KARMALOOPS again! :(
I should have read the reviews before I placed my order. I place an ordered for two sweaters. Am extremely disappointed in the very poor quality of the sweaters. Very poor quality. The sizing is also awful. The medium sweater in ladies could fit a child. I live in Canada. I had to pay $51 in duties and COD charges! Plus to return these items I have to pay for shipping. This is by far the worst online experience I have encounter. And I have done a lot of online shopping.
Used to like this site, but the sizing is trash. I'm usually a 32-34 around the waist, i ordered one large woven pair of black jeans, and a 36 Waist Lrg core pair, none of them fit, super slender like they were for children, probably 30 inches at the waist.
Customer support wasn't supportive much, and just straight up told me that "we can't tell you, what will and won't fit".
I spent 100's of dollars on this site, and planned to spend much more, but the sizing, policies, and overall service is bad. Return shipping at most is 50% off and no guarantee that the replacement will fit, so i decided to return it, lost quite a bit of money, and i have no plan on ordering every again. You'll never find an accurate size for clothes, and many times you will end up getting small or large clothes that aren't in the standard measuring sizes. A large may be a small. It's not their fault, but i'd expect some kind of warning or a way too find an accurate size. Even "Size Me Up" didn't really help.
Sorry but after spending a lot of money on holidays for these products, i've given up, the least i could've got back was the shipping cost for being a loyal customer. Done with Karmaloop officially.
I am from the UK and made an order for two pairs of shoes about three weeks ago. I've been patiently waiting for them... I phoned the courier company yesterday who told me I owe £61 (99 dollars) customs charges. The shoes totalled £161 (260 dollars) so I was charged 38% to import them. I would NEVER have ordered if I knew this. And I will NEVER order again. The free shipping actually cost me a fortune. Do NOT order from Karmaloop if you're from England.
I only started ordering from this site because they had LRG core collection camo pants BACK IN STOCK as it said on the pic of the pants. I placed a LARGE order only to find out the LRG pants were not in stock they were on back order and wouldn't be shipped for several weeks. The shipment date came and went. So I checked my order status and the LRG pants were just gone from my order, like I never ordered and paid for them. So I call to find out what happened and they tell me they won't be able to fill my order for the pants. LIARS... they were not BACK IN STOCK. Wish I wouldn't have ordered ANYTHING now.
I don't care about getting a different item... that's why I went to Eastbay and will be receiving these same LRG Core Collection pants in the mail TODAY that I waited almost a month for from Karmaloop.Com. I got a in store credit ONLY AFTER I CALLED TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. The company didn't even try to get in touch with me, WHICH IS WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. And if u don't have something IN STOCK don't put a BIG BANNER across a picture saying BACK IN STOCK!
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE. I created an account with them because I have heard nothing but good things about the site. However the one and only thing I tried to order was never even sent. I ordered a shirt on Aug. 28th and it was said to have been shipped on Sept. 2 but I never received it. On Sept. 11 I followed up with customer service asking about it and they responded saying they'd have an update within 48 hours and I would be contacted, which of course I never was. So I followed up again on the 16th and they claimed that they restocked the shirt on Sept. 11 and would be sending my order at the end of the week, which would have been fine if they actually sent it. Now it's September 26th and I still haven't received my shirt and am in the process of waiting for a refund and judging by their service I probably won't get any of that money back. It's funny how they can flood my inbox with a bunch of bull$#*! emails promoting themselves everyday but couldn't send my order. To all online shoppers please be aware that this website is not as great as people may make it out to be and from my experience they're full of $#*!.

OOR QUALITY and GREEDY RETURN POLICY
I ordered a military style jacket from Karma loop. The price was high so I figured the quality would be good. It was very cheaply made so I returned it. I was charged a restocking fee and also had to pay for shipping back. Of the 60.00 that I paid in the end I was only refunded 38. This was a very poor quality jacket that should have only cost 20 bucks. Instead they made 22 dollars on me and I dont even get to keep the poor quality jacket."
If you are looking for urban or street style clothing, karmaloop is best. I've heard a few horror stories about the customs charges people pay when they order out of the states, but if you live in the states it's great. Shipping is less than a week and there are lot of coupon codes and sales events pretty much every week to save you a lot of money on your order.
Never had any problem with any retailer other than Karmaloop.
Bought three items, two items from the same order cancelled due to out of stock. They only return store credit and not shipping cost.
Next following order I made to use the store credit, I received wrong item! Now, I had to return and pay shipping fee because of their own mistake!
In between order issues, I had numerous email exchange with MANY customer reps which are not helpful at all in resolving my simple issue! They have terrible customer service, bar none!
DO NOT ORDER IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF U. S!
Keep in mind the duty charges! I ordered something that was originally 120 dollars and had a promo code so it was reduced to 98! Yay exciting but when it got here (not to mention it was awfully slow it took two weeks to get from the warehouse to vancouver) i had to pay an additional 40 dollars. Which of course it not the website problem, and also keep in mind that they will charge you on your original price rather than your reduced price for the duty tax. I dislike DHL and would prefer if they used USPS. So basically 140 dollars i paid for shoes, highly disappointed i should of just bought it in stores. I hope you learn from this and be careful when you order something online! I like karmaloops just not their delivery partner. I phoned DHL and they have the worst customer service. Just sayin, love the promo codes though. If you have any questions before you order just ask me!

Just had a talk with the postal worker - he said everyone is shocked when they get the charges at the door with this company (the tax I understand... but shipping and duties and COD charges!

Answer: They do not refund. They will give you store credit which isn't as cut and dry as it sounds... it can only be applied to certain items which are few and far between and you have to pay shipping too.
Answer: I still can't figure out what kind of shape they are in. They have yet to make good on over $100 in returns since xmas! They promise store credit codes that don't work or that disappear when you go to use them. I spent so much time and energy trying to get resolve and just took up with them AGAIN on Twitter since that is apparently their only monitored customer service option. I don't know how they possibly could have come back after putting the screw to so many. They prob owe so much out they won't turn a profit anytime soon. If anyone has any solid info on their status I would really appreciate it as well. Meanwhile I'll keep looking for more info.
Answer: It's all one company. The whole company is in bankruptcy proceedings. Google "Karmaloop bankruptcy" and you'll see. I'd steer clear of KL if you like your money, and if you've been waiting for any items you've ordered, good luck.
