I'm disappointed in these knives as they do not hold an edge for more than a few cuts. They look good, feel substantial in the hand but I have to resharpen them after chopping a few broccoli or carrots
I received my knives very quickly, but the sharpening stone wasn't with them. A quick email was all that was needed to get it taken care of.
Very impressed and I will now buy all of my knives from Kamikoto. I am also pleased that they are sponsoring a special 2A video blogger, Langley Outdoor Sports.

The knifes have a good feel to them, they are heavy and well formed. But they don't have the sharpness you would expect in this price range!

Our knives are individually inspected and held to the highest quality standard, as with normal usage of the knives over time, we would recommend that our knife buyers periodically hone their knives with the Toishi Whetstone 1000/3000 in order to maintain the knife's sharpness over time.

I ordered Kuro set for a gift and received somewhat flawed one. Their customer service immediately answered to my email and asked some pictures of the item. After examining the pictures, they immediately replaced the flawed one. I really appreciate their quick action. However, Kuro set was not extremely sharp as much as I expected compared to their other single beveled knives although they advertised as best knife ever amongst their products. Overall, I was satisfied their customer service but have a question mark on the Kuro set.
It has been months since I placed a large order. Nothing has been delivered. Really disappointing because they looked so good online.

We had some problems that did not depend on the seller, yet the seller went head over heels to help us solve it. The products are, so far, absolutely fantastic. More than satisfied.
These knives are 100% quality. The Japanese Artisans have integrity and honour with respect to their workmanship which promotes long lasting and fantastic products.

Lovely items. I own 6 Kamikoto knives and they have all been sent swiftly and securely to Iceland. They have reached me in perfect condition and come in beautiful wooden boxes. They feel almost too pretty to use but I am happy to report that they work very well :) Thank you.
Wonderful set of cutlery! One suggestion for you though: Have storage rack for ready access... just a thought
The sharpness and handling of the Kamikoto knife beggars belief. They are so sharp you are really guiding them as the force of gravity enables them to make the cut. Their ability to extract every bit of meat from cuts saves you money.

My Kamikoto kuro knife broke at the handle while cutting a small chicken up to grill. I tried to contact customer support at *******@kamikoto.com. I was IGNORED. I have at least 7 sets of these knives. They knives look good but they are too fragile to use. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID. The kamikoto kuro knife set was close to $500. Pure junk made in china. A 1000 year company should know how to treat their customers. I think it's all a lie. I'm very very disappointed. No warranty what so ever.

I am delighted with these knives. They are a fantastic addition to my kitchen. They combine a handsome box, they feel great in my hands, and they are SHARP. That is a great combination. I recommend them.

As with all knives being used over time, the knives will need to be honed from time to time, we would recommend using our 1000/3000 Toishi Whetstones for the maintenance of the sharpness of the knives over time.
Great quick service. It was a birthday present for a friend and he just loved them.
