Don't use this site. They don't cancel when you request it and refuse to refund you when you complain. Their customer service is awful. The phone customer service is a bot that just keeps repeating "This is Steven." The chat service told me to email to *******@justanswer.com. When I did I got a reply saying this address wasn't accepting messages at this time. The chat cuts you off if you don't reply in seconds. Overall, a horrible, horrible experience.
I signed up for a "Free Trial" and then was charged 60$, stay away from this site. The customer service agent is a bot, have fun talking to that a lot.

The 7-day subscription trial requires a deposit to be placed to use the service, then the membership billing begins after the end of the trial in order to prevent an interruption in service. It sounds like you might not have cancelled the service during the trial period.

Paid for the one time $5 question and 2 months later I see on my online banking that I was charged for the monthly subscription of $66. I contacted justanswer to try to get a refund because I was not given the impression that the one time payment for a single question would automatically transfer over to a $66 a month subscription; if I had known this, I would not of signed up. Justanswer refused to compromise on the matter. The sign up process is deliberately designed to be misleading to the people who pay for their services. They count on people who make the same mistake as I did and won't hesitate to take your money.

Used the trial version in march '20. Once they have your details, they'll start debiting your account.
Didn't even know I was signed up as a full member for a full monthly subscription £50 a month.
No email notification of membership, or for them taking monthly payment either.
Refund of 1 months £50 subscription, refuse to pay back previous 5 months, on a service I didn't use.

Do NOT use this company! They are a rip off and the costumer service is horrible. They will only answer a question if you lock into a membership. They do email you once you are a member as they hope you will not notice the $50+ charge on your card. If you have an issue, they will not allow you to speak to a supervisor and get ready to get hung up on. AWFUL! Stay away

A complete scam. I payed $5 for unsatisfactory answer (the legal 'advice' showed the lawyer had no understanding of the specific issue - tho I wasn't expecting much for $5). I did not sign up for membership but then found out incidentally that I was to be billed $60 monthly. Should be shut down.

These people took monthly payments from my credit card without me receiving any invoices or notifications that the deductions were happening. I believed the membership was cancelled. They were not prepared to refund any money. For me it would have been much, much cheaper to go to a local lawyer and ask my question, rather than lose hundreds of dollars in a series of silent deductions over many months until I realised and stopped it. Customer service with a view to any sort of resolution was non-existent.

Answer: I got scammed last year for just over $50k on what I thought was a legit investment site. Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
