Online it said 5 dollars to ask a question. When your paying and press accept, they're not saying accept payment...they're fooling you into signing up for a membership so you can ask your question...they've charged me 46 dollars the last three months and I didn't even know I signed up for a membership. I addressed it with customer service and they said " sorry no refunds bc of paragraph 10 whatever whatever" I'm so upset because that was gas money to get my family to and from work and daycare until payday and it's gone. They wouldnt even try to work with me. DO NOT use this site. You'll unknowingly accept a membership and you'll never get your money back.
All I did is put gibrish and she/bot talked like I said something normal so if I were you I would not buy a subscription okay

I was asked to pay R15 on my credit card (which they are now canceling) only to find (because I was waiting so long to ask a mechanic a simple question) that JustAnswer has automatically signed me up for a monthly fee. I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS. Now after canceling and having never spoken to a technician so I should get my money back. I feel like taking them to Ombudsman.

Be careful with this site they tell you there going to be a five dollar one time charge to your card then once they get your card info the add on more charges beware of this site!

I have a Bosch refrigerator with an ice maker that stopped working. Reached out to Just Answers to see if I could get help on the repair. Chatted with a rep who asked several questions about what the issue was and what I tried to do to repair. They claimed they could help and sent me to an online form that would provide a trial membership for $5. They immediately charged $5 plus $40 monthly membership fee. I called to complain, and they said there was no trial membership and they could not refund but would cancel future charges. OK
Several hours I got this response from their expert on how to resolve my issue.

You need 3 things to make ice, water which you have, cold air, which you have and a functioning ice maker……That ice maker is definitely bad. Being that it's brand new. I would contact Bosch factory service so they can come out and replace the ice maker. Very good news that ice maker is under warranty. That thing is super expensive

The website offers to let you post a question and join for just $5 but then charges you an additional $60 membership fee. Upon further research, I found that JustAnswer offers different prices depending on where you came from (an affiliate page or an ad). When you try to get a refund, they tell you that you can only get a refund for two reasons: 1) you didn't get an answer to your question, or 2) you weren't happy with the quality of your answer. When you call for a refund, speak with a supervisor, and ask them if they would like to refund you now or after you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That got them to refund me ASAP. Also, they show on their website that they are highly rated on Google, but that's a lie. Avoid this company!

This website is deceptive and misleading. It considers anything you type when corresponding with the bot a question, whether you ask one or not. The $5 fee you agree to ask a professional a question is truly a $30 membership fee, instantly. As you realize this and try to navigate the site for support, you will consistently get a 'BAD REQUEST Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand'. If you're able to contact anyone, you do not know if it's a person or a bot. I canceled my 'subscription' before I ever received any service. I'm currently trying to get a refund and running into dead ends. Don't go to any link that takes you straight to a bot. You do not get any billing information.

The robot wanted to know if I wanted to proceed and receive the form for $1. Sounds easy right? NO. I completed the form, then spoke briefly with a very knowledgeable/kind doctor. Received a conversation text to check out memberships because there are so many benefits. So I clicked on memberships. Suddenly my eye catches at the bottom of the paragraph in faint lettering, the next membership fee will come out next month date. I did not purchase a membership, so I called in. Not an easy number to find... They tell me that when you select to have the $1.00 form sent, they AUTOMATICALLY sign you up for the $46/mo. Membership fee. I canceled on the web page, received the confirmation email the membership was cancelled but did not say anything about a refund. Responding back on the chat feed, I demanded my refund. It wasn't until that moment, that I realized I had been talking to a robot. The company they do not refund first visits. They would be alot more honest, if they charged for the visit. I won't be going back.
Was trying to get DisneyPlus help. Typed in help.disneyplus.com as was instructed by Disney. First item that popped on Chrome was "Disney Plus Help Center Com - Get Personal Help in Minutes". Proceeded to pay a $47 fee only to get JustAnswer...which didn't have the answer. Tried customer service who disconnected me. False advertising and poor service. I want my money back!

I got an ad of this website as I was looking to find treatment for muscle cramps and the doctor assistant asked me to fill a form and pay $2 fee which is fully refundable and ended up charging me $77. Didn't even provide me any advice from the doctor and when I go to their website to find contact info from 'contact us', the webpage crashes! This is horrible. Loot someone in need!

They keep texting you thousands times and you don't get to talk to a Lawyer on the phone as they ask for more money to be paid. Why? I already paid you for the entire month. Be careful everyone. The claim is $5 to ask a question then hit you with a membership fee without your knowledge once they ask the attorney. You'll find it on your statement for $60. And when you call the answer is "it is in the fine print"...literally! It is not on the credit card page; it is in an additional temporary password email underneath the password, which is AFTER you have given your credit card information to them. So if you are in a hurry and don't scroll down far enough you will not see it. And the attorney could not give any actual advice, just the legal code that it falls under. When I called to complain, they canceled my membership...didn't give my money back and I was suppose to be able to ask questions for an entire month, so I paid for invalid membership less than 24 hours long. Even gyms keep it active until your 30 days are up so that they aren't stealing from you. What a load of Bologna! Call a real attorney.

Hidden fees on a 2$ question turns out to be 79$ whether you want a member ship or not, and customer service is condescending and heartless, I needed help and they took my money from my account without my consent just days before rent was due as a single mother on the holidays that's a stress I did not need and nothing was done to rectify it!

The legal advice was amateur...and the guy sounded like I was bothering him. I've also been charged $60 a month after that call. They say I signed up for the membership so it must have been in very small print. No refunds are entertained. What a waste of money!
Oh...I combed through my emails and couldn't find a proof of purchase...just a lot of "how did we do" emails.

They claimed to only charge a one time fee of 5 dollars that would be refundable, then they charge you 65 more dollars for the membership. You're not able to get a refund because the additional 65 dollars is "attached" to the 5 dollar charge, that was customer services words. I paid 70 dollars to ask some one a question about a painting. The online chat help was completely useless as was the phone call with customer care.

This is a US Company using UK-based advisors. Paying the Trial £5 initiates a contract with them that entitles them to take £50 every month unless you terminate the contract within 7 days.

They detected money from my account twice. I paid over 100$ for nothing. They said they will charge 56$. When I asked fir detection doublr they were just sorry for that. There is no accountability for that. Very disappointing

It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
