I submitted a question to the SSA Experts due to a fraudulent inquiry that was sent to me. My initial was whether this was scam, as I suspected. And the digital AI was quick & gathered information as I expected it to do. Then after asking several questions, I was directed to submit a $5 fee via debit or credit card, while a lawyer was being informed of my questions. That went well, but the system did not let me input my telephone number after indicating that I could interact via text or have someone to call me at my number. Although I was prompted, when I attempted to enter my number the system did not allow it, and in fact was only showing the agency's number. And, in fact, that was the number included in the fraudulent information sent to me. That step needs to be addressed to facilitate the respondent's actual phone number to be entered.

Other than that, the $2 "form to join JustAnswer" turned into $2, plus a $49 membership fee once I clicked ok. There was no mention of the $49 before I clicked ok (although I'm sure it's stated somewhere on the website). They were quick to refund the $49 however once I complained.

Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
