My daughter has a Nordic name Mathea someone at the printing office decided that I must have miss spelled her name and took it apond themselves to correct it. Changing it to Mathew her graduation announcements now say Mathew Faye. I called and getting it correct was now problem however graduation here in Tennessee is in mid May we moved across the country 2 yrs ago most of our family is in Washington state now instead of sending announcements I will have to call everyone to ensure they have plenty of time to make arrangements to join us. I called and asked for a discount because of the inconvenience this is causing. Was told this hardly ever happens and they have no way of giving any discounts because mistakes don't usually happen. SMH bull poo I told her she is in correct that I am staring at a online review page right now and told her what the rating is. Advice avoid using them at all cost! Or it may cost you!
I called Jostens to verify if the ring I ordered 8 weeks ago and paid $410.00 for had been shipped to the school for ring day that will take place in 2 weeks. The lady who answered the phone informed me that it had not been delivered or shipped (possibly not even made). When I voiced my concern about it arriving on time, she stated "nothing is guaranteed, NOT EVEN YOUR LIFE". Such indifference and lack of accountability is extremely disappointing and disgusting behavior to the people who pay their hard-earned money for these rings. Shame on you Jostens for over-inflating your prices and treating your customers with a lack or care and disregard.
Tried to make a change to an order due to student not going to graduate on time (happens will they push student to order graduation items 10 months before graduation). Multiple hours on the phone getting the runaround and told multiple times I would be issued a refund and then received an email weeks later saying they would not issue refunds. More time on the phone and email to be told different things. Worst customer service and money hungry company I may have ever dealt with.
This company is a rip-off and they want to make business out of senior parents. If only they spend less money in advertisingand lower their fees I'm sure not just senior parents will be purchasing a yearbook. Due to to their overpriced yearbook the non senior parents DO NOT purchase a yearbook. It's ridiculous how much we have to pay for an ad In a yearbook I spent over $300 for quarter page and a yearbook for my daughter. Do better! I really hope the low income families find a way to get a yearbook without being taken advantage!
I ordered my adopted senior an outfit to wear around with pride 1/23/24. It is due to arrive 3/16/24. Paid $100 for something she will barely get to wear. Horrible service and website takes you in circles trying to get info on delivery status.
Tried to order a yearbook. Spent 2 hours on the phone with my bank because you declined and flagged my card for being out of state. Aren't ALL your customers out of state? Same problem when ordering cap and gown last fall. Thank goodness this is my last child. Never had a problem before. Don't t need the stress and wasted time. I have enough if that with my 2 jobs!
Please beg your school not to work with this company.
And if you are forced to, do not be fooled into ordering anything you feel is extra. Everything is orderable individually BUT their website makes it time consuming to find the one thing you need.
Jostens preys on high school students, selling them metal and plastic "stones" for many hundreds of dollars. They get schools to sign a contract with them, letting students out of class for a "ring ceremony" if they cough up serious money for a trash ring.
My problem isn't even that Jostens is overpriced garbage. It's overpriced garbage, but the real problem is Jostens customer service.
Jostens told me I could upgrade my high school ring to a college ring. I mailed in the ring and did all their process, ready to pay even more for an "upgrade fee." A month later, they tell me they can't do it because it's not 14K gold or sterling silver. Such a waste of time.
Jostens contracts with schools to extort ridiculous $ for every item associated with graduation. Then the school makes it mandatory to require new cap and gown every year by changing little things. Guess what? Your school gets a piece of that pie back from Jostens. Hold the schools accountable for the outrageous thievery they are perpetrating with their partner in crime, Jostens. We HAD to purchase from Jostens and the minimum cost for just the gown was over $50 after all the junk fees (delivery of 20 plus to pick it up myself from the SCHOOL. So they made an extra 1000 just on my daughter's class 'delivery' fees.)
My daughter's class ring is a joke. I spent almost 600 and she spent forever designing what looked like a beautiful, unique ring on their website. Just got it today, months later, and it looks like a bubble gum machine prize. Seriously. It looks like they farmed the work out to Temu, complete with blurry engraving, uneven fonts, the most CHEAPA*S stones that are nothing like they picture. Cracked, cloudy, just don't have words for how cheap it looks. I am disgusted that this is being foisted off on graduates, who get these as symbols of the hard work and perseverance they put in to earn a diploma. And I am furious at the thought of the hardworking families who make genuine sacrifices to pay these outrageous prices only to be handed this unbelievable garbage. Shame on Jostens; Shame on the schools who conspire to peddle this crap!DO NOT waste your money. Have a jeweler make/engrave something quality that does justice to your child's accomplishments.
This used to be an American company which they took pride in being US based. They now outsource the majority of their call center to the DR and it has slowly gone down hill. They don't understand what we're talking about and don't understand the importance of graduation ceremonies. They're focused on their pockets not the integrity of the company. As a long supporter of Jostens it saddens me to see the company deteriorate to nothing of integrity.
Your employees also deserve a warning when getting canned. A short last minute meeting, really?
$40 for a high school yearbook is ridiculous, especially when my high schooler has only been in ONE picture each year for the past 5 years. Now I have 2 in high school, and my freshman might be lucky enough to be in TWO, if you can even pick them out of the tiny team photo. The school doesn't ever have a time set aside for kids to autograph each other's yearbooks, so they may as well just check their yearbooks out on classmates.com. I know Jostens isn't responsible for the number of pictures, just stating why I feel the price isn't justified. The added service fee doesn't make a lot of sense to me…it's not like they have to spend time getting a special order together…it's a mass-produced yearbook. Plus why all the extra white space on pages? Why not enlarge individual photos so we can actually see them?' Yearbooks all look formatted the same anymore…boring.
Bought my granddaughter class ring spent nearly 600 and she was suppose to get all the extras but when time to deliver they said she didnt so from now on will buy somewhere else dont like liars
I had to have it resized and I sent it in. They sent me a completely different ring with a different stone. I sent it back because the stone was flawed. They are now trying to get me to pay for THEIR MISTAKE. I am utterly disappointed and just want my money back. They have ruined this whole experience for me.
The picture are HORRIBLE and extremely overpriced. At checkout they hit you with junk fees ($2.99 service fee). Flushing money down the toilet.
The original ring I purchased was stolen 25 years ago so I contacted Jostens about making a replacement. I did the order online and had to cancel the first order. I called them am money was refunded within a few days. I had accidentally ordered a medium instead of large. I redid the order and marked my calendar. It arrived 4 days earlier than expected. The ring was perfect. Don't use the sizing tool app.Order a ring sizing kit from Amazon or someone and use that. The sizing app is not that accurate. Just order a medium or smaller for a woman and large for a man. They don't give actual measurements on their
Site.
The photos weren't even cut, nether from each other nor from white background.
So for $30 I basically got a sheet of paper with 2 pics printed on it.
Unfortunately, they were our school provider for school picture day
So I didn't have choice.
Overpriced and bad service.
My daughter ordered her high school graduation announcements and to say that the quality was subpar would be extremely generous. I have literally never seen a professional photograph look that bad. It looked like they took a photo and cut it out with a pair of scissors and glued it on and ran it through an old copier. I've nicely asked them several times for a refund and spoken to someone over the phone and I am told that we must send back the cards I sent them proof of what they look like, how come we have to pay to send back the cards that is ridiculous.
I went through 5 minutes of removing every possible add on, which this company was so kind as to automatically apply, only to have to pay 81$ for a cheap $#*! book, need 2 different "added fees," and learn that apparently whenever you try to enter credit card information the site crashes. Words cannot describe my unfathomable loathing for this money grubbing, lazily made, $#*!stain embodiment of capitalism. I cannot believe this is the company with a monopoly on school yearbooks.
Placed an order for a yearbook for my daughters middle school. They advertised the cost as $30 per yearbook. The company then added a $3 "service fee" on top of that, plus tax. Kind of high, but ok, no problem. When I placed the order I had to agree to the terms including this line "We reserve the right to change the Service and Delivery Fee at any time and for any reason." (see the terms at https://www.jostens.com/about/legal/terms-of-sale)
I emailed them back, asking for clarification about these arbitrary terms, and their response was to just cancel my order and refund me. No explanation.
The proportions of the clothing they sell are awful. Crotch on sweatpants is way too low, sweaters/pullovers/hoodies have large shoulders and waistband/ribbing sits weirdly high regardless of size. The sizing is very strange in general and the only positive is soft material on the inside of clothing.
