Joann's craft store is the most unprofessional company I know of that is still in business. The service is horrible. I would give a minus 5 if I could. Stay away...
Placed an online order for the first time. Order was placed at 2:30pm. 6:00 pm order is still not ready. Could have gone in and took a number and waited in cutting line and checked out in equal amount of time. Service is very slow at the JoAnns closest to me. I work 1.5 miles away and a 1 hour lunch is not long enough to get fabric cut; checked out and back to work on time. So I thought I would try on-line. It's slower! Need more fabric stores. Do you hear us?
Terrible customer service by the Manager and (Taylor and Kim) working the weekend afternoon shift at Waterford Shopping Center in Orlando. This is a marked contrast to all other employees in the store and during the week. These three employees are always very rude and get very upset if a customer ask them for information on their products. The shift manager goes as far as complaining for being stopped for a question by a customer. Kin ( Oriental American) ignores you when asked a question relative to their products and if you respectfully insist, she turns her back and ignores you. When asked for a customer feedback form, they claimed there in none in the store. All other employees go out of their way to assist customers and know their jobs. The supervisor should be demoted until she can perform as expected and the other two employees should be trained on adequate customer service.
So tired of requesting them to stop sending me all their junk! It's totally annoying. And they keep doing it! I sent them several messages and still get it. Done with Joann's!
I bought the Black Kona fabric to use in a Quiltworx pattern. After completing the whole quilt I put it in the washing machine to set the colors. I used delicate settings. When I pulled the quilt out of the washer I was devastated!! Every seam where I used the Joann Fabric it had shredded and left gaping hole. This was not just in one or two places but the whole quilt was full of holes!! I will never use fabric from Johann's again!! All my time and expense was a total waste!! The pictures don't tell half the story.
I am loving going to Joanns. There is a lady there, Jennifer at the 71st store and she is amazing, she makes the experience awesome
JoAnns coupons are a joke in the first place. Now they send their mailers so late, they come at the end of their sales... again another tactic... they will try anything,,, mainly when they know there are few retail stores that carry the same items... I've had to shop online with other retailers more because of JoAnn's crappy sales system. They losing more customers by their there own sales foolishness.
I have been shopping at Joannes in Yonkers NY for a few years. Unfortunately it's the only place I can buy yarn in my area. I have complained to the manager about the cashiers in the past. They are so rude.
Today's experience was no different. Horrible, rude. Inconsiderate staff. They actually argue with people over their own store coupons.
Consumers beware!
It is ridiculous, on one register open and we have already been waiting for 35 minutes!
This is for the store in Gaithersburg, MD
Just had the unfortunate "pleasure" to shop at the Mpoac, Austin Joann Fabric store. In all fairness, the lady who helped me at the counter where they do measurements and cutting was very nice and helpful. Even told me to download their app so I can get a discount. All I bought was a piece of foam - approx 24" by 80" and 3" thick. Since this was not a sale item, I was under the impression that I'll get a 40% discount (that's what the app promoted "40% off any one regular-priced item". When I should this discount voucher - on their app - to the (very rude) lady at the checkout counter, she simply said nope, it's not for that item. But here comes the shocker (for me at least) - I had to pay $151 for the item. In retrospect I should have also said "nope". But foolish me paid that price since I really needed the piece of foam... today.
So, to sum it all up - total ripoff! Will never do business with JoAnn Fabric again - ever.
This company hasnt the slightest idea of what customer service is. Their staff are all rude. They clearly take the lead from the manager. I cant believe the annoyed tone they take to their paying customers in. They wont honor the coupons. I complained to customer service at corporate level three times. Kept getting the automated we will be back to you no later than 48 hours nonsense. Then i received an email to my third complaint stating they replied already and it must have gone to spam folder. As if i was too stupid to look there before contacting them again. So i replied i did not receive a response and to please cut and paste to me. No reply except another automated email telling me to contact customer service if i still needed help. Why should this company receive anyone's hard earned dollars. Look at the string if customer complaints. I woukd be horrified and embarrassed if i was the head of their customer service dept. their coupons are a joke. Dont shop at this vendor. They dont deserve your support
This company is RIDICULOUS in its shipping process! I made a purchase on May 4th, 2019 and it was supposed to arrive in 6-10 business days. On May 30th, 2019 I finally asked for a refund because there was STILL A DELAY IN SHIPPING! They said it would take 6-10 business days from THE DAY IT SHIPS but it is UP TO THE MANUFACTURER as to WHEN THEY HAVE THE PRODUCT AVAILABLE! Are you kidding me? DO NOT TRY TO SELL A PRODUCT THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE AVAILABLE! SCAM!
Your advertised "deals" and "doorbusters" are a good ploy to get people in the stores however, when you advertise 70% or 60% or 50% off single items and 40% off your entire purchase I find it annoying to say the least. Your deals are on regular priced items. Ummm, you have everything that is worth anything protected with sale prices. I'd like you to know that I have shopped your store a lot IN THE PAST. I'm happy now to pay a bit more and shop local now. Frustrating to say the least.
I swear I believe their entire purpose is to make you wait as long as possible. That alone, I could probably put up with, but for them to be condescending and rude is unacceptable! Don't waste your time at Joann's in Redlands.
I ordered and paid for fabric at Joann's in Greenville, SC on April 12th. Called on 04/26 to check on the order, was told it had not arrived yet, even after they told me it would only take 2 weeks. Called again today May 6h and was told that the fabric was never ordered.
Totally incompetent staff, will never go there again for anything. Trying to call Corporate Office and have been on hold for over 10 minutes... probably will not get anywhere there either. Total waste of time! Total incompetent staff in Greenville, SC store.
I have a large amt of JA receipts--mostly cash. I'm injured, unable to work (no disability) & had hoped to make items for resale. (MBA, RN, aargh) I was buying low-priced items so there are a lot on a receipt & I have a lot of receipts. JAs IDs items with useless terms & UPC #s, so it's a royal pain to match these w items. I started to do some returns wo receipts--for lowest sales price store credit. A few days after I ret'd > $40 worth & was issued store credit, I drove 34 mi. To be rudely told there was 0 left on the card--JoAnn's Asset Dept cancelled it. The store refuses to give me back items I have receipts for. JoAnns state that you can do a refund wo receipt for store credit but NOT that they may retroactively cancel it & then require info that only someone who still has the receipt would know: date, the other items on a 'lost' receipt?, city/st,, etc, while keeping your goods? Cust svc won't discuss it & shunts you to a recording, try it to see their demands: *******529.
I lodged a complaint about a rude clerk and the manager allegedly spoke to her but in the same breath he said she was tired so her tiredness must have affected her behavior. Then on a follow up call, he stated that the clerk admitted to her behavior. I told the manager I would not return to that store. Preferring to patronize a different Joanne Fabrics. To summarize and this I told the manager: all it takes is one employee to treat the customer poorly-- translating in losses of profit that affect that store.
I went to buy terri cloth and netting. Was charged for a linen item I did not buy. Called the store I have to bring the items back into the store. I have been overcharged there every time I shop there. I do not think I will go back to time consuming to keep having to check the receipt. Customer service is horrible there/
Joann Fabrics online is terrible. Go to Hobby Lobby.
The only reason I'm giving one star is because it wouldn't let me give minus a hundred.
The online customer order and customer service is far inferior to even a 3rd world country. They deducted my fabric order in full when I placed it, and then sent me an email saying they could only ship 2/3rds of my order, which meant they would split and cut my fabric to suit their needs, not my needs. I requested a cancellation immediately, wherein they said no, that after I received their incorrect order, that they would then put me out more by making me take it back to a store in person, which is a 20 Mile drive for me. Then they deducted another 2/3rd of the entire charge from my bank account in addition to the first full charge.
I spoke with Rachel, Sonny and Lisa from the Hudson, Ohio customer service. All 3 continued to lie to me saying they did not deducted it from my bank account. Yet they certainly did and my bank confirmed this in writing.
6 days later I finally received a credit for the first fraudulent charge, but I am still waiting for the 2nd fraudulent charge, and my order. It's funny how they can immediately deduct from your bank account electronically, but state you must wait up to 10 business days for a refund, wherein they are in error.
And what idiot would cut and split and backorder a fabric order? Like my one piece outfit will now only cover the upper half of my body while letting my genitals hang loose. Whoever cut this order should have to wear it daily for their uniform and see how they like it.
Hobby Lobby thanks you for being so terrible. Interstate fraud charges are being filled and there is no reason in today's world that anyone should have to put up with all this pain and suffering at the hands of a multi billion dollar corporation.
DON'T ORDER FABRIC ONLINE from Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts! I want to report the horrible customer service and ordering online material process this company has, and lack of any type of useful customer service they offer... that is if you can get someone on the phone. If you are considering ordering from JoAnns, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T! Jo-Ann is one of the worst fabric companies out there. In short, I ordered 12 yards of material and 8 yards of lining material amongst other things. It took two weeks to get all the items, and the main material that I thought should come as one bulk size or two 6yrd pieces, came in 4 pieces, (a 2 yd, 2x 2.5 yrd, and 5 yard). Then the lining came as a 7 yard instead of 8 like I ordered, they sent an email that said they cancelled 1 yard of the order. I tried to contact JoAnne by phone, no luck... then by email, I left several messages, no answers. I called corporate, which is the same number as the online store help, who never answers their phone, (when I call most time anyway), but you get plenty 'tips' about crafts while you are waiting... THEN I called the store, who said call the online place, who took over an hour to answer the phone, then said well that's the way it is... They said THEY did nothing wrong... of course.
