This website is beyond trash! It keeps giving me errors when THERES NOTHING WRONG! I went over and over everything and yet I cannot buy for in-store pickup. I've never had such a crappy experience when it comes down to it line ordering. I will never again try to order anything from Joann fabrics.
The staff is helpful and friendly. There is such a large variaty of items to choose from. Prices very low and with coupons you can't beat them. Dispite some of the reviews I've read about bad customer service I have to disagree. Personally I have never experienced bad customer service. I've seen demanding customers with expired coupons and being unorganized delaying checkout.
Jo-Ann has never had good customer service however it has gotten so bad I will try my hardest to never shop there again.
In January, I went to JoAnn Fabrics in Fort Myers, FL to get 4 maps framed. The man that helped me that day was very nice. I was told my order would be ready by Feb. 5th. Well, it is now March 15th and no word on my order! I have called and called and called. Usually, their line is busy and you cannot even get through. When I finally do get through, I am told they will have the framing lady call me back concerning my order. That never happens! STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND THEY JUST DON'T CARE!
First it was I could not afford fabric at JoAnn's without a coupon the prices are so high. Now their coupons are pretty well useless. SURE- they send out a 60% off coupon-with restrictions like "regular priced fabric" THEN they put all the nice fabric on sale for 10% off. If I should find something I might like to make a dress or suit out of, because they stock 8 yard bolts, there is never enough of that fabric available after a cut has been taken from the bolt. I have better luck at Walmart and the wholesale fabric warehouses in Dallas. I am giving up on JoAnns. Any place that charges $27.99 for cotton gauze is too greedy for me to shop with.
I ordered 3 yards of a fabric in order to make a skirt. When it arrived, I found a tiny note on the receipt stating that they only had 2 yards left and so my bill was changed accordingly. How enraging! Why wouldn't they so much as send me an email to ask if I still wanted it? At least then my response would have been temporary disappointment, rather than feeling taken advantage of by a company who fails to understand the needs of their clients. I cannot make the skirt I intended and now they will most likely charge me to go through the hassle (not to mention additional cost of shipping materials) to return the fabric, that they could have sold to someone else under honest conditions and had a happy customer. Instead I was charged for something I did not ask for, did not consent to be charged for, and they didn't bother to tell me or ask if I still wanted it.
In addition, a separate part of my order has now been lost and delayed in shipping THREE separate times. It was supposed to arrive Thursday, then Saturday, then Monday/today (last day within the expected time frame), and it still isn't in the hands of USPS.
I have emailed them (their Contact Us form does not work) detailing my experience as well as asking for a refund for my shipping charges.
Went on their app to find a yarn I need for an upcoming project. App indicated that my local store had 6 skeins of the one I needed. Ad said that it was 20% off ONLINE ONLY. Ok, great. That means it's not on sale in the store and I can use my 50% off coupon. Drive all the way to the store to discover that it WAS on sale, for a measly 25% off. Yeah, I know that doesn't sound like a big deal. But when you're talking about needing many many skeins, that adds up.
This equates to baiting customers. Very unethical!
Was told package will arrive on Monday. Never did. Supposed to leave package at front door. Never did. Now I have to use my gas to pick it up myself from a post office. They didn't even give specific address of the post office as if my town doesn't have 500 of them. Horrible experience. Good thing shipping was free. Would've sucked more if I was charged for it. Never shopping from Joann again.
Website is slow and buggy, and my orders got cancelled for no reason. Wasted an hour with clueless customer service. Don't waste your time.
JoAnn fabric... I haven't gone there very many times that I was satisfied with their customer service. This past Saturday was the very worst. We wanted to buy some items that were listed as on sale for buy one get 2 free. Also a couple of items in the. 50 bin. We got to the check out counter and they charged us full price for all of these items. So we politely reminded them that these things had rung up wrong. Well, after standing there for 45 minutes and waiting for the manager to finally find time to come see about it and holding up a line of about 8 other customers while they hashed it out they finally got it straightened out. What a negative experience. Come on Joann's get it together!
I just received my order and got some items that I didn't order. They cannot send replacements and customer service sounds very lazy. There is also an item from my order that still hasn't even processed. It's been at least 7 business days! My thoughts are it sold out and will be cancelled. I will stick with Amazon!
I ordered and received a beautiful kind of neutral holiday wreath. I love it! It looks exactly like the photo maybe better. Shop at my local Joann store frequently and always receive great customer service. Now I can say that their online service and product is excellent as well
I sewed 4 pillow covers for my daughter's new sofa with Joann's Nile Quilted Velvet fabric and filled them with Joann's 20" pillows. I am very pleased they turned out beautifully and soft.
I tried to place a very simple order online, but got a message that my order couldnt be processed and I needed to call customer service. I called on a Sunday, but they have no customer service on Sunday. I called on Monday, after having to speak with 2 people for 25 minutes, my one item order was finally placed. Nine days later, I check on my order online. My order number and email address dont match, so I have to call again. Im now 45 minutes on the call, they had my email address incorrect, are unable to tell me the status of the order, said it is unusual that is taking this long, said there might be an error, they can reach out and nudge the vendor, but it will likely be cancelled due to error. When asked about what kind of error, they said a computer kitch... WHAT?!? After speaking with my third representative, and her telling me she'd look into it, but wasn't sure when she'd get back to me, I cancelled the order. She said she can't guarantee that she cancel it. Crazy. I've been waiting 9 days, nobody can tell me anything about the order, and they are not sure if they can cancel it. Time to step out of your standardized responses and procedures and make it right for your clients Joann. Won't shop in store or online. Very backwards approach. Catch up to the 20th century.
My daughters and I went to Joanns in Belton MO. Linda the store manager refused to do a price adjustment. There were two of the same type of fabrics in the same area under the 60% off. Also Linda decided she wanted to raise her voice and argue her point in front of other customers. One customer said that the honored it for her. My question was why was the situation not handled and why was it not honored for me and my daughters? Worst experience EVER. What upset me the most was when she said what do you want me to remove the sign? Here I did it. Instead of honoring and fixing the signage.
I'm frustrated why the bank refuses to release a refund for the rebill to test the transaction by Joann. The order has been shipped and the refund for the second amount is pending FOR TWO DAYS! Now its Thursday and Friday is not a common day for business operations because too many employees are obsessed with the weekend and starting it early by slacking off
I was charged double for a purchase at my local JoAnn's on December 2,2019. I have called customer service 4/times already and submitted receipts and my banks fax number. I STILL haven't received my refund yet a full one month later! I am so beyond angry and frustrated that nothing has been done at all to receive my refund. I will never shop there again.
Took back some yarn that was bought there, but didn't have the receipt so had to take the lowest sale price in 6 months (ok), and it had to go on a "store credit" card (ok) but when I tried to use it ($30) worth, it has been canceled and zero balanced THAT DAY! Probably by the kid that was issuing the credit in the first place. Sorry Joann, you just lost any future business. And I will be posting this on numerous sites.
Waste of time to order as they cancel repeatedly. Order was $76 for multiple different floral sprays, deco mesh, and ribbon (wreath stuff) ordered day after Christmas and I get mail daily "Uh Oh" this item cancelled. Yet I can go back on site and order again. Shopped in store for decades. 1st online order and last time shopping with them. I'll order or drive to Hobby Lobby. Worst customer service ever as zero response from them.
This is the last straw for me, JoAnn. Gift card from my mother in law appeared to work online, but then wouldnt let me complete the purchase, so I went to the store where they told me it had no balance. Making me ask my MIL for the receipt is a low blow JoAnn! This is the second time I've had a similar problem with gift cards. Do NOT buy one! Agree with other commenters that JoAnn customer service is bad. I'm done shopping there.
