My name in Bret and I am from Berea Ohio. I was today the August 15th 2020 at Joann's fabrics at Middleburg heihgts Ohio. I ask employee at the cutting table if she can help me or point me to where I can find the cushion which go on the hand wrist and hold pins. She said she is busy and I have to wait. She was cutting about 8 different fabrics for customer which took almost 25 minutes. But I waited patiently. I ask her if she is the only one in the store and she replied no but they all busy. So I waited. When she was done she come over and I ask her if she can show me where to find my item. She told me next isle and walked away to help other customer not giving me chance to ask her again. Well I went to the second isle but could not find it. So I ask her again and she said I must be out and I am busy with another customer. I felt she was not done with me. But I guess she was done with me. But she also tell her co-worker next to her to tell me. The co-worker was the same. She just said next isle. I said I don't see it. She said well I can't help you. Maybe they need look in the back and restock the item. But no. Very unprofessional. Maybe because I am a man and I don't belong in that store? I don't know. But I will never ever shop in Joann's fabrics stores again and will advise everyone to do the same. I tell you this was not the first experience I have with this company. I was there 4 or 5 times over past year. And Everytime is the same. No help at all. They give you feeling like they are doing you favor to shop there.
3 weeks ago you had a sale Boro on yarn 3gl get 2 free. Ok fine and dandy now you discontinued carrying the yarn that I need to finish my item I am working on. It's called Premier Puzzle. I have checked 3 different stores and no one has it. Please respond to me maybe you can ship me one. I wanted to use my coupon and get 1 more skein.
I am a broke college student trying to complete my final year of college in online classes. One of my classes I need a sewing machine for, so I ordered a nicer one online after calling the JoAnn's store, because they told me sewing machines are sold by a separate company inside the store and they were hard to reach. I placed my order July 24th, and it is now August 14th. I start classes in 3 days and have not received my package. There has been no update to my package location. The tracking number says "Not Found" when I search through FedEx. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have tried to contact customer service multiple times and haven't heard anything back. After reading everyone else's responses, I think it's pretty clear I will not be receiving a sewing machine anytime soon. Thank you, JoAnn's, for causing this broke college student to throw money down the drain and be left struggling days before to find something I need. Never shopping here again, and neither should any of you.
I get Joann's emails with plenty of coupons. Great I thought. Wrong. Most of the time the checkout clerk will say 'oh that coupon doesn't apply to this.' This has happened to me several times. They do this just to get you in the store. It's just a marketing trick. Not crazy about Joann's.
Council Bluffs IA store. I went to the store last week. It was so sad to see the sweetest cut counter lady (Monica) was by her self with a line of 6 people... Then i went up front to see 3 cashiers with no customers just gabbing and giggling. As i checked out one of the 3 girls that were hanging out up there asked if it was raining. I said yes as my shirt was wet. And not 1 one went to save the carts of items that was outside getting ruined. Been at this store many times and this last year it has been getting dirty and staff is getting younger and inattentive.
I downloaded the Joanne app for a 20% discount on baby yarn that I ordered online. Since that time, I have received 2 emails from them EVERY DAY. Finally, this morning, I disabled the app and deleted 240 of their unwanted emails. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! 20% discount is not worth hundreds of unwanted emails.(And just a little tip a lot of people might already know - Joanne accepts Michael's and Hobby Lobby coupons)
Drove all the way to Joann fabric because they sent me a coupon stating I would get 20% off of my entire purchase with the only restriction being door Buster items. Got to the register requested a manager who claimed that there was nothing she could do. I have worked in retail for over 15 years and am well aware that she can punch in her little numbers to put to the discount in period do not shop at this location. False advertisement an awful management
I should have read the reviews and not ordered from this company. I ordered a cricut bundle over a month ago and have yet to have my order shipped. Over a month! This is ridiculous! They will never get my business again.
Joann's Fabric Peoria, il... Claims you can pick up your order in parking lot. Do to Covid-19... instructions to phone store. On arrival... Good Luck with that... they will not answer the phone... when inside to get my order noticed the phone ringing... without being answered?
JoAnn is not a friendly store for shop at home. You must buy two yards of fabric and most fabric is not available for shipping. What's the point of selling on-line?
I ordered 6 yards of fabric, 5 curtain rods and thread on line. At time of order all were available. 2 days later I received an email stating the fabric was not available. However, rest of order was on its way. I immediately called to cancel rest of order (no longer need rods if no fabric!) but could not. Now I will need to return these items. Unhappy that their system did not reserve my fabric at time of order or they just want to sell me other items with hope I won't return them during pandemic.
Terrible customer service, been waiting for a refund for months, customer service phone number not in use, email only that is rarely answered and when it is answered is incorrect and false information, purchasing from Joann Fabric is no longer an option for me

Today is November 11,2023, and sadly Joann is still the same as it ever was. I received an email regarding a 60% coupon off of any regularly priced item. Yay! I was excited, but it wasn't until I was checking out online that I realized the coupon was for IN-STORE ONLY. This is so, so yesterday. Most folks today shop online. Why, am I still holding hope that Joann will improve their shady tactics?
I want to share my experience with Joann Fabric, which I wrote about on July 8th, 2020 (see below review). Unfortunately, as of July 30th, 2023, nothing seems to have improved at Joann's. Recently, I needed to purchase a Zig 2 Way Glue/Chisel Tip pen for a project I was working on. Joann's was selling the pen for $7.69, but Hobby Lobby Arts & Crafts, located just across the street in Owings Mills, MD, had the exact same pen for only $2.99. Naturally, I opted to make my purchase at Hobby Lobby. It begs the question: does Joann not care about being competitive? It's puzzling that they wouldn't try to match or beat the prices of their competitors, especially when they are located so close to them. Do they assume that their customers won't check prices elsewhere to ensure they're getting the best deal? If Joann doesn't make some changes, I fear for their future in the market.
The Good News is Joann Fabrics finally updated their website so that it's much easier to navigate.
The Bad News is Joann Fabrics is manipulating their prices. As I was browsing for stamps to use for my handmade cards, I noticed the sale prices on many of the stamps seemed high. Once I checked the websites that actually make the stamps, I realized Joann is charging way more than the recommended retail price. So, their sale price is the normal retail price and in some cases actually higher. Thus, it's not really a sale or bargain. I checked many of the stamps and cutting dies and found this to be true. BEWARE
If your planning to do curbside pick up don't even think about doing it! Its been 3 days since i placed my order unntil now no confirmation! Worst service ever!
There used to be more than a couple of fabric stores and there used to be good customer service. I applied for a part time job with Joann's a couple of years ago. The Manager, A MAN wanted to give me a job but asked me if minimum wage was a deal breaker! I walked. I go into Joann's only when I absolutely need to. I have been shorted yardage. Clerks have failed to give me all of my bags, Thus leaving some of my items, forcing me to return. Good customer service has become a thing of the past just like fabric stores. I am 57 years old. All of the women in my family have sewn. My great grandmother taught sewing classes for Singer for 20 years. I wish more people would learn the art and bring back the need for more fabric stores. JOANN's doesn't have enough competition and doesn't feel the need to train their employee's good customer service skills and compensate them fairly.
I ordered 10 yards of muslin, and it came with two yards separate! I would expect ordering 10 yards meaning ordering 10 yards of fabric, not 2 pieces!
Placed an order last night for an item to pick up in store. Item was $7.59. Got notification it was received. This morning received email stating it had been cancelled. Now the item is $11.59. That's bull&&&@
I ordered from Joann Fabric store online since we have none close to home. I paid 53 for a bolt of interfacing... maybe 3 yards was wadded up and put in a bag! I paid 53 bucks for a bolt not this! Then call to ask if my order may have gotten mixed up and was made to feel like an idiot that didn't know what I was talking about. Costumer service is very poor! I never will shop one even if they move next door. I would've gladly given Joann Fabric my money if they had integrity and cared for their costumers. Such a shame!
Why did I have to buy fabric in 6 yard increments if you were not going to ship it to me in 6 yard increments? Instead of large lengths of fabric that I could cut the large pieces that I need, half of this is in small lengths that I can't even use as I need.
Their website permitted me to place an order. After a couple of weeks awaiting the arrival of my fabric, I checked my order status. Cancelled. No reason. No notification. No explanation. Or course, as with most businesses, COVID 19 is their go-to excuse. Well, after my order is cancelled, the same fabric is nearly doubled in price. Is this not price gouging? I even went to the BBB. Joann's offered to give me a refund if I ordered what I want and paid the higher price. They have the WORST customer service both online and in-store but they want me to trust them that when I pay nearly double for the same fabric that they will reimburse me the difference? And, no, I'm not making masks.
