I hate this website so much, It is a torture to use this almost everyday because my school district chose this horrid website. Using this horrible website makes me want to bang my head on my desk. One thing i hate about this website is the smart score. Every time im almost done with an assignment, The smart score always screws everything up for me. I could get one answer wrong and I go from a 90 to an 80. The smart score makes it feel like an endless cycle. Another thing I hate is the get 5 right with no mistakes, I could mess up one time and it brings me to the very start. All that blood, sweat and tears shed for NOTHING. This makes it almost impossible to finish just a singular assignment. Even if they were to remove these features, That shouldn't even be the thing they remove, It should be the ENTIRE website. I could go on almost all day on why this website sucks but if I did this would be a never ending review. If i could give this website 0 stars I definitely would. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND, WORST WEBSITE EVER

When I use ixl, sometimes it can be an easy and quick assignment but, more times than others, its is so stressful and causes students to feel dumb or they would get behind on work as well. Especially when you reach the challenge zone, if you get one right, your score goes up by 3 and when you get it wrong,it takes your score by almost 10.

This site will drive your kids crazy. This website will make your child gain points rapidly for question after question, but after it reaches a certain limit, it will give you 1-2 points for getting the right answer, but subtract 10-20 points for a wrong answer. This stresses kids out immensely and should never be used by educators.

IXL works fine as a PRACTICE platform. IXL does it's job, except when teachers have the ability to assign multiple extremely easily. I do find the Smart Score function to be quite interesting on paper, but rather ends up being a nuisance. A suggestion is to add checkpoints to prevent someone from losing all their progress from not getting enough sleep. Other than that the platform is more than mid, it does the job. Hey yall wassup. Its Jeffery from Alabama. (68-year-old male) My cousin divorced me last week and now I'm left homeless and living in the ghetto. Unfortunately, I do not have the funds or money to send my child Telemachus to public school, but somehow, I have an iPhone 15 to give him IXL on (Yes, I feed him). Every day I force him to get off his lazy a#$ and do the different variations of the quizzes in this app, and it's going great! Telemachus's mental health is deteriorating, but that's alright. As long as he knows how to solve for x. He is continuously learning how to say new words while practicing IXL, like f%$#*, b!tc$,@4s, and p*$$#. I'm so proud of him! The only complaint I have is that whenever I get my phone back to go on t!nder, there are always new cracks and punch marks on it, but I'm sure it's just a glitch! Telemachus lets out shrieks of joy similar to a hyena whenever he loses points! I'm so glad to see him having fun while learning.
Overall, IXL is a great app! 10/10 recommend if you are a homeless, 68-year-old man living in Alabama.

I have slight anger issues and when doing this ixl i punched my Chromebook then threw it across the room and it broke... im suing ixl now

I am currently in grade 7, and we do IXL everyday for 30 minutes on certain assignments. Have I learned/improved any of my skills in advanced Language Arts, advanced mathematics, science, or social studies? No. I haven't. And this is coming from a nerdy kid who LIKES school. I absolutely try in every class and enjoy my time there, but IXL is such a draining portion of my day. It would be much more efficient to just have study hall during these 30 minutes of my day. Because my homework at least makes me somewhat better than IXL.

This website sucks so bad its rigged it ruins my day and its so boring like get something thats actually fun and educational like prodigy this game should be banned from schools i hate this WEBSITE SO MUCH! Stupid website like this it isnt even helpful this website should be deleted from all browsers all schools everything i hope this website gets removed just like tobacco ixl is trash and i want it to be removed from schools because of how boring and not helpful it is it doesnt help kids like why doesnt it help anyone i want the ceo to make it fun while you learn like make it a rpg game while we works because that would make this a 5 star review and everyone else will like ixl if that happens so but right know its a lifeless hated homelesss fat good for nothing piece of trash crap stupid ugly fat website i hope this gets removed soon

Don't even know why my parents even paid for this! I don't even learn anything! The only thing IXL has on me is that it's now on my list of things that bore the living sol out of me.

This app put me in the psychiatric hospital because i stayed up to late doing it and got a bit silly and quirky... long story short i ended up with federal felony and many other criminal charges across just a few different states! Now i am writing this review from the mental hospital after pleading insanity to all of my charges... hopefully my ward doesn't look through this search history...

As it is understandable why teachers may like ixl as its a way for students to learn and make progress. It is very frustrating from a Students POV as I get the questions correct and get 1-2 points but when I get a question wrong it drops my score drastically which is the frustrating part. Also for some questions I put a space or write it differently but still equals the same, it still marks me wrong. This app is amazing for improving your academic goal but it is very frustrating. This app has many potential but it needs some improvement to make the experience better.

This app respectfully makes me want to throw myself down the stairs and cry myself to sleep.

Its mostly about the point deducting…. Get one question right and you get 1-2 points! Get one question wrong, 5 points or more is taken off…. Definitely a good system! IXL really knows how to make children have a sobbing session!

Ixl is a horrible frustration trigger for me and many other students. Doing an IXL assignment can lead to tears breakdowns and uncontrollable anger. Kids with anger management problems in my school have hurt themselves because they get too angry. Now this is just my experience as a student. If you're a school district reading this, I do not recommend it. When me and my peers get assigned an IXL it's a load of stress that we do not need in our lives.

The point system is screwed up, If you get 1 Question wrong you get set back a whole 15 points, it doesn't help that some teachers grade by these points. Please fix this.

Because of IXL I have episodes and I becoming mentally unstable so I wanna write this to get IXL DOWN AND ALSO GO SIGN PETITIONS ON change.org THANK YOU SO MUCH AND KILL IXL.

Back in 5th grade I had Ixl homework to do so I did it I wanted my dad to help me so he did little did I know I was going to be crying up in tears bc I wanted to play my nintendo switch, so when I get just one question wrong it would drop the smart score(or should I say dumb score) I was in tears and It was so embarrassing. Parents and Teachers pls dont make your kid do IXL it will cause stress

It is very effective as a supplemental math support. It should not be the only curriculum. It is helping the student with their regular math and bridging the gap between grade level and skill level. In the above image, IXL is correct. It is 12.11 only get you 77 forks so you need another pack to get to 12. This was probably supported in the video and the student would ask their parent or teacher for support. It should not done all alone. That's not what it is designed for.
