This whole thing is rigged. Even the point system.It is terrible, it causes stress for my kids, me, and the points go down because of that? It's "smart score" is terrible.The point system is terrible.My kids come crying or stressed out.The whole website should be taken down.

Ixl is the worst learning app because when your in your 70s, 80s, 90s you only earn 1 point but when you get a question wrong you lose like 10. So thats why IXL is bad and rigged.

I have to do this every day except Friday, and I hate it. The SmartScore sucks. It should be called the StressScore. It actually starts out fine, giving you 14 points when you first get a question right and taking away 2 points. The Challenge zone. Ugh, dont get me started. If you get a question right, you only get 1-2 points. If you get a question wrong, kiss 8 of your points goodbye. That's right, they take away QUADRUPLE to 8 times of your points to points you earn when getting a question correct. The SmartScore claims that doesn't penalize students. It is like slavery. Even Adolf Hitler was better than this monstrosity. I would rather get arrested than do IXL. Plus, when I do IXL, I feel stupid when I get a question wrong. So, please do me a favor, go to IXL's headquarters and shut it down. Same for Iready's headquarters.

It costs too much by the way. If you want an actual good site that has a good cost, try Prodigy.
If you like this site, I can see where you're coming from, but I despise this with a passion.

I ONCE SPEN 1 HOUR ON 1 IXL. THE WORST PART IS IF YOU GET A F*CKING QUESTION WRONG YOU LOSE 70 POINTS, (AT LEAST) AND YOU GAIN 0.1 POINTS. (AT MOST) DO NOT USE THIS F*CKING WEBSTIE CUZ IT IS A PEICE OF F*CKY SH*T. MAKE SURE IXL SEES THIS, THEY NEED THIS FEEDBACK FOR THIS F*CKING WEBSITE.

It does not help with any type of learning, but teachers think it's extremely helpful because on how it punishes you for getting one question wrong.

I spent 16 hours on one thing and finished it a day later i started it on 11/9/21 and it didn't help still and i still failed the test wouldn't $#*!ing try it.

As a student and son, I was failing, A's and B's drop to C's and D's so my dad hooks me up with IXL, I tried a few questions and started crying, i was trying my best but it kicked me down to the ground, negating points by ten and increasing the time it took to even complete the singular lesson, the worst part was my father kept stacking more lessons on me, making me do more and more. Honestly if I could, I would give it a quarter of a star.

This is a horrible website I dont know why schools still use it. They just wants stress on their students. This website gives stress because they will remove points when you get something wrong that's pretty stupid. That makes students upset at themselves when they get something wrong. That's wrong you should be upset at yourself if you do something wrong but ixl makes it seem that way. Ixl should be shut down. ASAP.If i could do a 0 star review i would.

They go by a smart score which does not help students because if they have a bad smart score it makes them feel dumb.

This is not a good teaching website whatsoever. IXL is a endless rabbit hole of work. They have this scale that determines if you are smart are not luckily mostly everyone is dumb on this scale which they call a smart score. This is how it works basically if you have a score of 70 or abov you get a question right score goes up two points, but if you get one wrong score goes down 10 - 16 points. Now tell me does that seem fair to you. My fellow students agree with me.

Its so bad you once you get high and get 1 answer wrong you get shot down to 0 again worst program EVER.

It picks wrong, and it well is not fun. This site made me almost lose my account that i paid for and almost lost.

Honestly, this app is so bad it just test your patient and and the pont system is rig, This app is mostly a waste of time. Doesn't really even help you learn it just stresses you out, even sometimes you wanna punch the screen because of how the point system is like. The person who created app never fixed the point system, he/she is either lazy or just don't even care. Well in all, this app sucks and just an completely waste of time.

As a 6th grader that is required to use this, the website is mediocre. It is certainly better than I-Ready, but still has plenty of flaws.
My biggest problem is the smart scoring. My math teacher makes us go to at least 70 SS for each lesson, and let's us choose whether we go higher. The thing is: it is super hard to rise it. Get one question wrong? Lose 9 SS! Get one question right? Get 2 SS! There was this one lesson that everyone in my English class had to take an hour for, which is my entire period duration! We are even advanced, and it was a fifth grade standard.

I have had IXL for a day. I hate it. I had it in 3rd grade and I remember it being really bad. The fact the developers haven't done anything in 6 years to change it shows how crap this app is and how little it is cared for by people that don't need to use it. If I was in a room with Stalin, Hitler and the creator of IXL, and a gun with 2 bullets. I would shoot the creator of IXL twice. Thank you for your time. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Hi i am a student from 8 grade i am having a lot of problems with the 8 grade continents/ocean they want you to write is like The Artic ocean
And if u don't add the (the) so u will get it wrong this app is not user-friendly see the attached pics below

This does not help students learn in anyway and if you are a teacher or parent reading this, please, if you dont want your students/child/children to hate you; Stop making them use this website/app. As many others have complained, this website mostly penalizes for your "bad" work/wrong anwsers and it brings many of the students frustriation also excuse my bad english its not my first language. I suggest mobymax^^
