My experience with IJL has been great! My goal is to find someone with similar interests who is looking for a committed relationship. I have discovered this is the best way to meet people because I know IJL has taken care of vetting the other person and also takes care to discuss potential matches, in detail, to assure a higher probability of a good fit.
I am a busy professional so I appreciate the fact that my representative at IJL does the hard work to facilitate meeting the right person for me.

I was promised 12 dates in 12 months for $2800. I had 5 dates after constantly prodding them, continously emailing them about my next date. Getting new dating specialists 6 different ones. The few dates that were setup where 1.5 hours away from me. Continously telling them I don't live in Seattle but in Tacoma... I just emailed them again no answer. There is no person to call to complain to either. FRUSTRATED BEYOND BELIEF!
There is no refund no matter how they fail to deliver what they promised... read the fine print.

If I had the option of choosing a '0' as a rating I would have done so. This business is a complete SCAM! It has been 9 months since my investment of $3000. 00. I have had two dates, one with a man that was polar opposite of what I am looking for and a second with a man that was a bit closer to my expectations but still not a good fit. My matchmaker has set up additional dates but has canceled them prior to the first date. I was assured prior to signing up that IJL that they had a robust database of men that fit my profile requirements. I have expressed my concerns about IJL not living up to their agreement. Additionally, due to their very poor service I have requested a refund. To date, I have not received a response. This has been a very frustrating experience. Such a waste of money!

It's Just Scam.

It's Just Lunch (IJL), at best, gets a score of 1 because I am paying for a service that is NOT being rendered.

I signed up for IJL in August 2021 with an Arizona Private Search DIAMOND contract. The sales person, (Adrienne), put on a full-blown pitch, suggesting they had plenty of singles women in my age group they could match with me. It seems they will tell you anything you want to get you to sign the contract and are more interested in snatch and grab that credit card number.

Although they make all kinds of promises, they fail to produce results. I paid almost $5k with the promise of 14 dates in a year, whatever occurs later. It's been over 8 months and I've been on only 3 dates. Although I had my first horrible date two weeks after joining, this was my only date in the entire five-month period of August-September-October-November-December. Pathetic!
Additionally:
- I was 'stood up' twice in 2021 without an explanation. It is plain unacceptable for a date not to show up … period. There are accountability and responsibility issues and there should be consequences and repercussions for these actions.
- I was given two additional introductions to set up date. However, soon afterwards, I was informed that neither were available any longer. I believe they were trying to 'pacify' me and this was nothing than a stall tactic because frankly they likely didn't have a pool of available single women to present.

I was assigned to a new matchmaker after the general lack of communication and failure to reply on a timely basis with my first matchmaker.

I am incredibly disappointed in how things are going with IJL. My advice is to don't waste your money, time and hopes.

This site is a straight up Joke. I paid 2500$ And only had 4 dates, they don't follow their own rules. They steal your Money. She had the nerve to call me and say I have to pay another 2500$. I said where is the rest of my dates when we agreed I have 12. They are liers. They know how to talk to you and once you pay they disappear. They also gave me dates that I didn't even agree to have. Joke JOKE JOKE JOKE. Don't do it. I will not pay one cent. For This website

This company is a scam. I signed on Jan 6,2022 and after two months I haven't date with anyone! The quality of guys seems so low. Theft showed me one profile and I didn't like the guy. I explained one more time, and second was better, but still not even close to what I expected. Since that haven't heard from anyone. Calls, emails. Finally talk to VP and she said there is no way to refund! But I don't understand what kind of scam is that? Just taking people money and don't even provide with a service? Definitely someone has to stop them. Just lost $4900! Be aware

The previous reviews are correct. IJL underperforms and deficient in service: faulty in communication and it may be weeks and months before you get a response from a matchmaker, and may not receive any feedback regarding a serviced date. I spoke with multiple layers of management of the company, and the head of the company would not issue a refund, and stated that it was not in the contract to receive feedback from a matchmaker, and that they did not promise that kind of "handholding." The contract clearly states that they will give feedback after each date as stated in the contract: "After each Date, an IJL Representative will follow-up for post-date feedback, and during this time, the IJL Representative may provide Client dating coaching tips, advice, suggestions, and any other dating related strategies for Client's consideration and future dates" (IJL Contract). Paying $4,500 dollars is an extravagent expense to have a company offer deporable and inadequate service by contacting you when it is convenient for them, and responding when called and emailed multiple times, and not following up with feedback after dates.

I talked with it's just lunch and they promised they have just who I am seeking and after a few calls I signed up and paid and that quick the story changed!
Now I was to choosy and they had no one, they presented a few ladies but they were absolutely nothing like I described as I was searching!
I told them I'm seeking a devoted Christian lady and they said (oh we have lots of sincere Christian ladies seeking for a partner just like you) as soon as they received my money they say it's not ethical to ask a lady if she's a devoted Christian or not and if she goes to church or not and that i ask to much!
I finally asked for and talked to the manager and he got very upset snd practically screamed at me!
Now a year later they called again and tried to sell me their service again!
I told them I still have not received one date from the $2750. 00 I believe it was I paid them a year ago!
They hung up the phone very fast and said (YOU ASK TO MUCH WE CANT HELP YOU AND NO YOU DONT GET A REFUND)
Please take this warning (ITS JUST LUNCH IS A DISHONEST COMPANY-you have been warned!

Online dating is horrible, these guys make it so fun and easy! I always know my dates are pre-screened, and hand picked by experts. I have been on 3 dates so far and have enjoyed getting to know great new people... My matches have been exactly what I asked for, and I am looking forward to my second date tomorrow night with my most recent match... Thank you It's Just Lunch for all you do! Keep up the great work!

It's Just Lunch Wants Your Money - Don't Do IT! Be proactive for yourself and just say "NO."
Signed up during a 'Black Friday' sale in 2020. It's Just Lunch invests heavily in you all pre-sign up. Once they have your money, what they promised DOESN'T happen! The most frustrating aspect of the service is that if they do not send you a match, you cannot look any matches or take any action for yourself. ZERO customer service!
In over a year, I've been on one lunch. It took me many calls, emails to arrange the one lunch. They changed the time, very last minute. I live in the LA area yet had to drive LA freeways for over an hour to get to the lunch spot. I found out he drove over 2 hours. Both of us passed thousands of lunch spots, just to arrive at an overpriced, poorly serviced location.
Honestly, the experience was traumatic. The man they sent did NOT match his picture, his employment, any of my interests. Bottomline - I had a hard time getting out of there, getting away from him. He followed me to my car. He kept asking me out, wanted to get me drunk. He talked the whole time! The only time I intervened was when he said he would not text me - because his friend is in jail for extortion of a minor. I had to speak up! As a nurse who specializes in protect vulnerable children - I could not let that go. I had to correct him. But it did not matter. It did not stop his unwanted advances. I have a detailed log of my follow ups. It's Just Lunch has ignored me. I have called, emailed... I have asked simple questions about vetting, security, no reply. I have asked for a refund, to that they did reply stating my contract is 'serviceable'. They connected me with an online experience, seemed like a nice guy and he asked for my number - but then never followed up. IJL did not follow up. I am beyond frustrated! It seems like the best move I can make is to warn others. Don't give in! It is a waist of your time, energy, and money. Be proactive for yourself and just say "NO."

Do not give these people your money. They are a fraudulent company. Lies- all lies. They took six months to find me a match. You can never get a hold of anyone. No one returns your phone calls or emails. They fail to keep appointments and will not follow up with you. They set me up with matches that did not show up and matches that were not within my criteria per my profile. I got no support from any of my matchmakers. Also I was bounced around from matchmaker to matchmaker without being given any notice of what was going on. Beware of Kayla, Mike, Lisa "Elizabeth" and Taylor. They refuse to keep appointments, I had a telephone appointment with Mike who refused to call me and when I called him he said he had people over fixing his air conditioning at 6am. I called Kayla once and she got off the phone very quickly with me and said she was having trouble with her computer and would call me right back which she never did. As soon as they get your money, you won't hear from them for months.

Since having Shirley assigned to me as my matchmaker at IJL I couldn't be happier. She is extremely professional, warm, kind, an excellent listener, and skilled in her craft!
She builds genuine rkatulbships with her clients. I haven't met my
"Mr. Right"
As of yet, but sincerely kniw I'm in the
"Right" hamds, as she has my best interest at heart.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE. ALL THE THINGS THEY PROMISE ARE ALL LIES. I READ OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE I SIGNED UP BUT DIDN'T BELIEVE THEM, BOY WAS I WRONG.

I AM NOW 4 MONTHS INTO THIS MEMBERSHIP AND THEY ONLY GOT ME ONE DATE WHO TURNED OUT TO BE A COMPLETE FAKE, PRETTY SURE SHE WORKS FOR THE COMPANY AS A FAKE DATE JUST SO THEY CAN SAY THEY GOT YOU A DATE.

AT THIS RATE I WILL HAVE OVER 12 DATES OR MORE ON MY FINAL MONTH.

HERE IS WHAT IS LIKELY HAPPENING, THEY DON'T HAVE INVENTORY OF WOMEN THEY CAN MATCH ME UP TO AND THEY WON'T ADMIT IT. THEY ALSO WON'T REFUND YOU BECAUSE THEIR CONTRACT IS SO AMBIGUOUS.

THEY ALSO DON'T RESPOND TO THEIR MESSAGES OR EMAILS FOR OVER A WEEK. THERE ARE BETTER DATING SERVICES, USE THOSE. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE.

I would agree this is a total scam. First, I was charged $3600 for 3 dates, which clearly from every other review on here it seems I should have only been charged $1500. The fact that there is no standardized pricing and this rep tried to tell me that was a deal is false and misleading at best. I think this company should be sued just for that fact. In addition, I had one date that it did not take the matchmaker very long to find and it was obvious there was no consideration into what I was looking for put into it. They just match you with whoever to get you through the cycle and make money. Worst company ever.
