I have been using IJL for about 3 months. It is a pleasure to work with Amber. I have been presented with three matches and been on one date. Another date is being scheduled. Benihana was a terrific spot for a date and the restaurant was expecting us.

I was so hopeful that I could find someone through a service that vetted men, but that was the only thing that was helpful. My dates were all at halfway points which were as far as I was willing to go to date someone. Most lived 1 1/2 to 2 hours away. I am a city girl and only one man even liked going into the city and even then he was gone every 2 weeks. I cannot believe there was not one man in the city I could meet. Most dates were only once a month. I wish I just would have saved my money since I really did not have that much. Still paying till January and no dates at all since one in September. Sadly I was hopeful at my age and nothing worked out at all. Sorry that I had to write this as I really liked my counselors. Not their fault if there us no one for me. Back to the bars!
Elisabeth was excellent on the front end of It's Just Lunch. Genie is my matchmaker and was ill for a couple of days so the handoff was done by another lady. Genie has picked up quickly, is very friendly and doing a good job for me.

I'm new to IJL and have gone on one date so far. I was very disappointed with the person I was matched with. I am not sure what criteria is being used for matching, since they don't ask too many questions and don't ask some key ones that I think are important for a successful match. I wonder if there are a good sample of potential matches to select from since my next match is at the top of my age range. While I'm happy to not have to be on dating sites and weeding through fake profiles and sleazy come ons, I'm not sure this service is worth the expense. The people at IJL that I've talked to have been great, but so far I'm wondering if I just wasted a ton of money and am wishing they had a better refund policy.
Please do not waste your money on IJL in St Louis. They will guarantee you they have enough male clientele but they don't. They have the right to fix you up with nonmembers and former members but they aren't really looking to date or start a relationship. There is no real matchmaking going on. None. They don't have offices anywhere except Fl and it's a call center with a lot of part time staff. They will sell you a very expensive membership and tell you they work specifically to try to matchmake for you but it's a complete fabrication. They want to be sure you're looking to date and start a relationship but your fix ups aren't always looking to date or start a relationship. It's a complete fabrication. They stress follow up and communication but you get none from them. I've gotten ONE email asking for feedback after a fix up. The customer service and personalized match making doesn't exist. It's a complete fraud. They prey on people's emotions to get expensive memberships. You'd do just as well online - which is the sad truth. DONT BE CONNED. PLEASE. I DIDNT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS FOR ST LOUIS
Carla has been great to work with. She is totally professional, polite, respectful, communicative, and extremely hard working. I actually feel like she cares about who I find as a spouse, where I am not just a number to her. She and I are working hard at the process (and it is a process) to find the right girl!

I've been a member for about two months and my matchmaker presented me several matches that met my preferences.
