This has to be the worst tax costumer service EVER! My taxes were excepted on Feb. 10,2020! 2 months later get a letter about market place insurance PTC has to be added, ok do that, amended return excepted Sept 1,2020. Then have to verify my identity needless to say I've jumped Thur all the hoops and still no one who answers the phone at IRS, can tell me why my return has still not been processed well after 20 weeks! I understand they had other payments to send out but really over a year for a simple tax return with no mistakes! I needed that money over a year ago! My life is on hold untill I receive my refund! The least the IRS could do is give me a time frame, after the time frame I already had which was 16 weeks, now 20 weeks, NOW WHO KNOWS WHEN!

Defund the IRS

I've been robbed. I received an invoice for $467.57. I called to make a payment because their website wouldn't take credit card payments. Obviously because they're stealing from broke people. I talked to someone within 5 minutes who transferred my call to someone to collect a payment. After waiting on hold for 1hr45min the representative answered having some sort of title of money collecting just to tell me they don't collect payment over the phone but there's a number I can call to make a payment. I was on the phone with the payment center. They couldn't give me the phone number but said it's on the website. The same website that led me to their pointless time wasting phone number. After stealing nearly 2 hours of my time, I would love to be reimbursed for each hour of time they stole. Preferably to meet the wage requirements of $233.78 per hour. Their branch is useless and is taking money from less than free Americans in a quote " Free Country". Not so free when they're robbing us of not only money but time too.
Sincerely, an unhappy native of a broken system of government.

I am understanding and am patient with wait/hold time. I've spent many years working in Customer Service and I understand different personalities and behaviors! Where does the IRS find and hire rudely-disrespectful employees. Many Americans are doing the best they can to survive and make ends meet and if "We the people" are calling in for help to understand and comprehend what steps to take and are working with the IRS to pay our debt, WHY must the IRS employees treat people like they are nothing and that they are a waste of their time? IRS please check your employees for it is us Americans who keep them working. Do you think that God is pleased with this? Woe to us for not being better people, God have mercy on the American people. I will pray for the guy I spoke to & who hung up on me. May God change your bitter heart.

The irs is BS!

The IRS doesn't care about the hardworking Americans that they tax every week and its $#*!ing complexing how its so easy for them to tax millions upon millions of Americans every pay check but yet so hard to get these same people the money they are owed fix this piece of $#*! company please!

How can you be so greedy, take our taxes and money you say we "owe" by taxing that same dollar 4x then treat us like garbage and not process our returns, amendments or fix your mistakes. You've stayed employed and if you're so behind WORK WEEKENDS to catch up. WORK LONGER HOURS to catch up.
The system tells me to call and then you won't take the call or you get rude that I called because the system said to do so. You need to be shut down entirely and investigated. This entire system needs to be changed. You want money that you've taxed time and time again and then to monitor our transactions over 600.00 or accounts with 600.00 in them like savings. Get out of here with that mess.

Waist of time

They will lead you to their call center and no one will talk to you. At the time that I'm writing this, I have been on hold for OVER AN TWO HOURS! I have yet to speak to a person after answering all their automated questions and giving them all my information. They are truly no help and a waste of time. And they wonder why so many people don't file taxes.

I don't like the way they put you through automated systems and when u get through they cant help u figure out your trace on payment never recieved ******* I'd was not so helpful and told me 6 weeks it's been 3 doesnt take long to figure out where my payment was if was mailed some where I no longer live and never received any only 1 went to a child payment other 2 or 3 never got or heard anything about guess u have go to the place to get proper answers u need

IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT SOMEONE ON THE PHONE - I'VE BEEN ON HOLD FOR HOURS, TRIED TO CALL ON DIFFERENT DAYS, AT DIFFERENT TIMES, IT NEVER WORKED! I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BAD THE SERVICE IS.

Horrible!

It's now AUGUST 31st, 2021 and I have been fighting with the IRS since March for my refund! I STILL haven't gotten my 3rd stimulus, or child tax credit payments, and they just DON'T CARE! I ABSOLUTELY HATE DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE! They are impossible to get through to, and are rude once they do get on the phone. I guarantee if it were reversed and I owed the IRS money, they would be calling EVERY DAY to get it! They need to get their $#*! together, and get me my money so I can stop calling them!

Heartless and Cruel

I am homeless and also in need of medication and it just says "Still Being Processed". My refund has been held for 90 days and IRS agent can't even tell me what the error is? The tax advocate say they cannot help because the IRS will not even enter the return. I'm on the phone 5 hours and the IRS lady says it just says Unworkable and they have no idea when they will enter the return. Heartless and Cruel.

14 weeks and still no refund. And they can't tell me what's going on with it. I called for 2 weeks at the 7 week mark and finally got threw to someone on the 9th week for them to tell me it's being processed and I can't get any further info till the 10 week mark. So 10 weeks come I call and finally at 12 weeks I talk to someone for them to tell me its being processed and there is nothing more they can tell me. Now I just call 5-10 times a day. I WANT ANSWERS NOW! The f*** are you being paid for. God damn c*** mongrel pieces of $#*!! Give me my f***ing money or help me god you will never get another damn penny from me. I work under the table and go out of my F***ing way to pay your a**es that $#*! is gonna stop now. I'll keep my money from now on. 14 weeks for a damn refund is some stupid $#*!. Get your $#*! together!

I have now called the IRS multiple times to get an update on a payment trace. Each time I have called, I have had the same experience. There has to be a better way than having someone wait for 45 minutes to an hour to get in touch with a representative to then be transferred to a line that repeatedly states there is high call volume and hangs up on you. Either have more online tools to help with tax payer issues or beef up your customer service department. Awful service.

The IRS has become intolerable! Blaming the Covid over and over for their lack of intelligence. I submitted two past year tax returns (almost going on a year) with all the same info and the IRS says they need deep further review. Hello this is why they are behind. Pointless reviews and stalling up the system. Get with the program people its time to start voting for the closure of the IRS system. The people deserve ALL their money!
