Lady who answered acted like I stole her dog. Didn't help me in anyway, wish I remember her name but she spoke so fast. Then she hung up on me.

I called the IRS customer service line and was on hold for less than 2 minutes. That was God's grace because usually I can't get through. I had a Ms. Spears and she was so pleasant to talk to and was very helpful in regards to why I was calling. I believe this has been the BEST experience of calling the IRS in my entire life. If all the reps could have her spirit, I believe it would be a better experience for everyone.

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD I FIGURED THAT SINCE I WORK HERE SERVICE WOULD BE BETTER BUT I SEE THAT DOES NOT MATTER THE GOVERNMENT REALLY NEEDS TO GET THEIR $#*! IN ORDER ITS NO REASON THEY ARE THIS INCOMPETENT THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT TWO TO FIVE YEARS FOR A REFUND FROM 2019. I HAVE NOTHING BUT HORROR STORIES FROM THIS PLACE ITS ALWAYS A ISSUE WITH THEM SENDING MY REFUND BUT THEY CAN PENALIZE YOU WHEN YOU DO NOT FILE YOUR TAXES OR IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID TAXES THEY CAN $#*! YOU BUT THEY DO NOT GIVE A $#*! WHEN THEY ARE NOT TREATING THE CONSUMER CORRECTLY. THEY WILL HOLD ON TO YOUR MONEY SO IF ANYONE FEEL LIKE THEY ARE OWED MONEY FROM THE IRS YOU ARE MORE THAN LIKELY CORRECT YOU BETTER CALL TO BE SURE. AS PEOPLE OF AMERICAN WE NEED TO GET TOGETHER AND PUT IN A LAWSUIT FOR THE WAY THEY DO THINGS LACKS CUSTOMERS SERVICE AND INCONVENIENT TO THE CUSTOMER WHY AM I WAITING SO LONG FOR MY REFUND AND I WORK FOR YOU PEOPLE MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAUS IM HITTING YOU UP NEXT.

Thge IRS needs to go away. Waited for almost two hours with lobby music same tune over and over, when I tried to help my daughter the lady said the call would be terminated, just had a general question about filiing two days late but when she found out my daughter had a German address the call was terminated within 30 seconds without the general question being answered. Rudness was unacceptable. She offered another phone number. Another two hours of lobby music? No thanks. Down with the IRS.

This website is not put together especially well. Between having to verify my identity countless times and reset my password (when I even get that far), only for the VERY SAME PASSWORD TO NOT WORK, it's just a nightmare. How is it that small local businesses with tiny budgets can afford efficacious web developers to build their websites that have minimal bugs and errors, but the IRS/Government cannot seem to get high-performers to build and maintain their website? It is mind boggling!

Ive been instructed to call them since their website doesn't let me proceed any further, had to call their (*******994) waited for someone to answer them the automated call says "they're experiencing system issues, please call back later" after all the time waiting. Not worth trying to call them, unless you want 2 hours wasted for nothing

I am trying to get my deceased fathers 2019 income tax refund and getting a run around! The last rep I talked to Mr.Spanos, was the ruddest person I have ever dealt with. He started yelling at me as soon as I started to talk! He sounded more like a sanitation worker than a trained representative. He wouldn't even let me talk to explain my situation! If you can't deal with people get another job!

I feel irs needs to update there stuff. I'm still trying to figure out why you take child tax earned income from taxes and apply it to child support debts. I'm married and every year you take my children's (his step kids) and take all that earned income for them away from my family and give it to his other children's mom. I feel that is no way right and the government should not be able to do that. I get the taxes you make from work being takin from taxes but what in heck gives the government the right to take what child tax credit and give it to another lady that me nor my 10,8 and 6 yr old did not sleep with.

Called several times to speak to a representative on callback and I either get disconnected or the representative hangs up on me. So I called back again one more time and waited on hold over 30 minutes and spoke with a live agent that transferred me to law department and the recording says they cannot help me on the phone that I needed to go online to find my answer. The IRS is a REAL big JOKE!,

Rude and unhelpful

Have not received my tax refund. Received a letter stating that it is under further review. This has never happened in all my years of filing, so I did not know why. The woman I spoke with basically re-read the letter and said I needed to give them more time. She read from a script, did not care to hear my concerns, and hung up on me. The federal government trains the rudest people to deal with the public-- TSA and IRS. Funny how the IRS lets people with tons of money skate by on tax payments, but they're worried about my little refund. Funny. Worst country.

Usless and Rude

When I called the IRS, they informed me that my child was not mine. So they would not let me claim her. Than to say I owe taxes. They are big jokes and do not have a clue what is going on in the real world. One lady hangs up. I speak to everyone except the carpet on the floor. All of them need to be fired. They don't need tax reform; they need IRS reform.

I sat on the phone for one hour and 45 minutes for nothing. Was treated rudely and like I was an idiot. I called to clear up my taxes and tell them I owed, NEVER AGAIN! Place is a joke, people need to be fired and the system needs to be cleaned up!

What a joke
March 16, 2023

How unfortunate it is to have someone take your money but then wont take your calls. I filed my 2020 taxes on time (IRS closed) then it took a whole year before I even saw the money. It came at the same time as my 2021 refund. Both returns were paper becasue for some reason the IRS assigned me an IPIN number but NEVER sent notice that they had done it so my returns were rejected forcing me to do paper returns. Fast forward to 2023 and its time to file again but I need my AGI. Access the IRS web site and what do I see, notice that I never filed in 2021...BUT I GOT A REFUND how is that possible? Now sitting on the phone AGAIN becasue Ms Sumpter hung up on me after 45 minutes. If you make threats they want to arrest you but it seems like threats are effective and get things done. From the Director down, the whole lot of them need to be fired. IRS employee's, staff, system, internal controls all are the worse.

Absolute worst.

Absolute worst company I've ever dealt with, zero acknowledgment of my REFUND, been 30 days & I have not received my refund. I received a letter that they took $1,500 of it but for some reason they won't send me the rest. Absolutely disgusting & unprofessional, they're thief's that steal your money ALL YEAR & then show you zero respect, gratitude or acknowledgment; and then they don't pay you back. WORST COUNTRY EVER!
