I have been a boxycharm customer for years. Nose that they switched it is not worth it. I recieved my box with broken palette and dried up mascara. I would never use any way. The brush looked so rough I worked never even try to use it. The actual mascara was so dried up on the brush I could hardly pull out of the tube. I have tried over and over to reach someone for help but not one person has reached out to me. I am so upset with the whole thing.
Never would use Ipsy again. Got one box 2 months after subscribing and canceled a month before that. Now I know why. Received such crap items and they were sooo tiny. Nothing I would ever use. No makeup. Just face creams. Bye Ipsy
Ipsy is the biggest scam I've ever come across. They take money,$15.34 and the $14.67 every month without sending me anything. When I've attempted to cancel I'm told I have no account with them. You can only go through a robot and the answers are three same for any complaint. There's a reason you can't talk to anyone ever... That's because they will not refund they will not cancel and they will continue to take your money. They gas light you so you think you're doing something wrong, but your not. Month after month after month they take my money, no product ever received and no way to cancel. That's a scam for real! I had to shut down my account completely and start another account. Do not, repeat Do not use ipsy for anything,!
Just starting up with them in February 2023, by April 2023 two orders were never received. BUT the May order just came. Since there is no response from ISPY I wasn't going to out of $180.00 I had no choice but to have my credit company investigate this company. So there is absolutely no customer service. But there is ROBO. I was so excited to start a monthly subscription but the stress is too much to handle!
From missing a whole package one month to a bunch of items not being delivered the following month, and now my extra order that I paid for has not arrived. I am out quite a bit of money from ipsy ripping me off. I have canceled subscription which I so far had no problems doing. What a disappointment this experience has been.
Ipsy USED to have amazing deals, since it was bought out by boxycharm… the deals SUCK. Hardly any money off the original price.
I liked ipsy at first but for my birthday my husband bought me a makeup set included everything except Fondation not only that when you join they have you pick out makeup for your skin and my skin is light they sent me mostly sample alot of stuff never heard of best place if you want a monthly subscription go to allure beauty box I like them alot you get a live person at least when I was with them I did canceled because of the price whent up but you don't get samples with them better than ipsy also can't cancel ipsy I had to close my account and open a new one to get rid off them
The products you get are mediocre at best. In January I ordered my first (and last) I spy glam bag plus bag, i was sent a refreshment bag and thought it was a nice freebie but they charged me $13 for it even though i didn't order it they just sent it to me without my permission. I got my first months bag in February are wasn't impresses so I canceled my subscription. Today I get an email I need to complete my bag so I click on my account and it's active again. They charged me $32 yesterday to send me a May bag after I canceled my subscription in February. I had to Re cancel it which is SO CONFUSING and you need to jump through all these hoops to do.
I've tried it twice. I canceled the first time with no issues. They purchased Boxy charm and charged me three times for two months. I ended up having to go to my bank and possibly canceling my debit card
I enrolled into a membership for almost $14 a month they charged my card almost $22 last month and now this month they charged my card twice without my acknowledgment so if you're going to order from them please be careful I wouldn't advise it
Think twice before you subscribe to IPSY. Once you are in, hard to get out. Before you find out how to unsubscribe, a year passed charged your card about $300. Shame on you IPSY. If there is no trick why can't anyone simply unsubscribe? They are a RIP-OFF. I was charge $12.93 for FREE gifts each month that I got in the mail for a year. That's $155 before I noticed being charged for FREE gifts. I want my money back before report them to supreme court.
Ipsy is quite deceiving. They ask you questions about what brands you love, making it look like those will be the brands taken into consideration when your product comes. The brands I received were low quality ones I'd never heard of. Then when you try to cancel, they lead you through a series of deceptive pages that put the link to click to keep the subscription/pause it a lot more prominently than the one to cancel, which is way down at the bottom of the page in smaller print. It's pushy and dishonest marketing from the start. Make sure to cancel it on your paypal or with your card issuer, too, so they don't keep charging you. The monthly fee isn't worth it for the low budget items you receive. Note: if you're outside the USA, shipments seem to take forever. I'm in Canada, and the shipments take weeks to get to me.
I loved my subscription but I didn't receive one month back in December of 2022 I reached out and told them I didn't receive it, they said it was on its way still never received it. I kept the subscription and now I still haven't received March bag I reach out and got nothing back. I was going to increase my bag amount after my year was up but I haven't had very good luck so I cancelled! I am upset because I paid for two months and got nothing and they never even refunded my money! Shame on you Ipsy, DO BETTER!
Cheap tiny tiny tiny products sent. When you cancel they make you jump through hoops with emails and links and bots! If you click on the wrong one you're canceled subscription becomes active again and If you don't click on the confirmation of cancellation link sent your email later they won't actually cancel. It's a constant circle with these people. Total scam! Buyer beware!
Everything was fine as long as they kept sending me monthly reminders that my account was going to resume since I would pause every month since reactivating. The promotional photos would always show better products than the junk they would send you. This month, I received no email that my account was going to "un-pause" and got charged for another bag of junk. Customer service maintains I must have received the email and to check all my folders. I know some companies are getting desperate to achieve their profits but this is ridiculous. Account cancelled and warning others now to be aware of their business practices.
I had a whole bunch of add ons I wanted to buy already in my cart. Then they were just gone. I've been an Ipsy subscriber for years. I also miss Boxycharm and their drop shop. I think it's time to finally cancel now.
This company is COMPLETE SCAM! They will not allow you to cancel your subscription! I tried for 2 weeks. I finally received a confirmation of the cancelation, and they still charged me the next month. The only option is to cancel with your credit card. There's no way to reach an actual person/rep for this company, only reps! What a nightmare! Don't do it. I don't recommend. To add insult to injury, the products are mediocre at best! Not worth the money at all. Stay away!
Ipsy SUCKS. The products are not from recognizable brands, the sizes are -super- small and they send you a bunch of the same cheap crap. A monthly beauty subscription is always going to be a bit repetitive but it's literally all just bargain bin CRAP.
But that's not even what prompted me to write a review. The reason I'm even doing this is because of the absolutely SCUMMY and exploitative way they make it intentionally difficult to cancel your membership. They try very hard to just get you to pause it so that you can be charged again in 3 months after you've forgotten about it. Okay, fine. A lot of companies do that. Whatever.
BUT...
I had this membership on a temporary card so it was declined when they tried to charge again. Perfect. That's why I do that.
When I tried to log in and cancel the membership I literally_could not_ get past the page demanding I update my payment method. I knew if I did that they would immediately charge me so I definitely wasn't going to.
I tried to log in on my laptop instead and I still had the same problem. I then had to re-route my browser through two different google searches in order to even get to an Ipsy screen where I was given the option to manage my membership.
THEN... I had to navigate through FOUR SEPARATE SCREENS with a huge button that says either 'Cancel' (meaning here: "exit the screen" NOT "cancel subscription") or 'pause membership'. The 'confirm membership cancel' was a very small and faded button on the very bottom.
After all of these screens, I STILL HAD TO VERIFY THROUGH AN EMAIL. This email was also intentionally designed to confuse and mislead consumers into pausing the membership instead.
I mean. Seriously?!
I never write reviews because I'm just lazy in that regard, but the extent to which IPSY went to make canceling this service SO DIFFICULT honestly enraged me and grossed me out.
TL;DR - Scumbags hocking cheap crap. Save your money and your time.
Don't know how they really ship it takes over 12 days to get order that shipped 90 minutes from my town. (Harrisburg NC to Clayton NC) got notice was shipped March 9 this is March 20 have no idea where it is or when I will get it just says in transit supposed to go to USPS for delivery but not there yet. Will definitely cancel after my six months is up.
My daughter signed up, but it was unclear what she was signing up for. Next thing she knows, she is getting charged $30. I told her it was a hard lesson learned and helped her cancel her account at the start of January. She was just charged again on March 17th. I tried to get a refund, but ISPY only uses bots and I could not reach anyone. I had to dispute the charge on her debit card. I believe this company engages in consumer fraud. Buyer beware!

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped

Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
