Ipsy has a beauty quiz that asks you about product you'd like to try. It also asks about shades you like and scents. There is an option to also pick "barely use". I filled out the quiz and have found that I never receive products I would use, shades I would never wear and many products I had chosen or indicated I did not like. I find ipsy to be a waste of money. I have used very few things sent and have had my membership for over 5 yrs... I even receive products with shade I was embarrassed to give or gift my friends. Ipsy makes it hard to find out where to cancel membership and than they offer you a free month of products you are actually products you stated you liked in the quiz to sucker you in and than send you crap again. Ipsy is a huge waste of money and it is cheaper to just buy the products you want vs spending money and hoping this month ipsy will actual pay attention to the preferences they had you waste your time picking.
Ipsy does not offer refunds - not for an error, not even for a package still unshipped.
The "Please come back" email ended with a "reactivate" button - which I was accustomed seeing as a link and not an "end all be all" type of a finite action in emails prior - not just from them. Well, in July of 2023 I made a dumb mistake on clicking on it wishing to see what the cost of reactivation would even be. Dumb of me to even consider it, because I definitely canceled my subscription to them for a reason: a travel size toner sample arrived expired and I'd save more money shopping for same products at Ulta with a rewards coupon but I digress. The button that I interpreted as a link to seeing the terms of reactivation... well was a finite commitment on a website that never under any circumstances issue refunds.
Don't do it. Cancel it. Unsubscribe from their emails. Save your money, peace of mind, your skin. Run.
Well I was gonna write a review. But as long as your gonna read their reviews. I don't have to say anything. Pretty much all the reviews they have are bad ones. Good luck on screwing everybody that signs up for your services. Cause it's bound to end bad for you soon enough.
This company is the worst
My product arrived, opened and with no receipt
If you have any issues, you can't get in touch with customer service
I cancelled my ipsy subscription months ago because all they sent was $#*!ty items like hand lotion and cheap eyeshadow. It was a waste of what is suppose to be $13 but they actually decide to charge you more like $17 without telling you. I cancelled my subscription literally in december keep in mind it's July now. To my suprise today i received a confirmation email saying my glam bag is on the way and when i log into my bank account i see a $17 charge? So now y'all get to decide when i reorder my subscription? And y'all still have my debit card on file and reader to charge whenever you want. I'm out of the country and now i need to dispute this charge which has been pending for HOURS… meaning I cant even dispute it until the charge actually goes through. The worst fuxking company in the world. $#*! y'all.
Its ok at the beginning but the items get less and less and on top of that Ive been trying to cancel my subscription for 4 months and its still coming. Impossible to talk or email anyone, there is no live person only bots
I canceled my membership with them twice just to be charged another two more times before I had to just cancel my cards. They are scamming people out of their money and the products they send are terrible.
For my first glam bag from Ipsy Mexico I received products I specifically mentioned not wanting (chose the very rarely option on the quiz). 3 out of the 5 or 6 products received were from categories I "rarely" wanted to receive. Super disappointed in my first glam bag as I really wanted to explore makeup product use and selection and as such expected more makeup products. Customer service is unresponsive too so I just went ahead and canceled. Why risk getting another month with bad products? No thanks
Do not put your credit card on file with this company because once you take an unsubscribe to the services they will continue to charge your credit card after three times my wife has called or talked to the people on their little robot helpline to cancel the subscription and they continuously charge her card so beware do not use this product do not put your credit card on file with this product
Save your money. Title says it's all. Don't fall for all the ads! I had fallen for their hype, I paid a year in advance. Don't waste your money like I did.
They show you great products but send crap. The send a full size product of something like lip oil that I get at least every other month and says it's 17$ hilarious as I can get lip oils for a few bucks and who wants them anyway. So the rest are deluxe samples. So so tiny, barely enough for one use. Also the other full size product is usually a face sheet mask or eye patches which they state are 20$ again I can get a sheet mask for 3 $ at a discount store. It seems like all these subscription Boxes have gone down hill. Sadly I will be cancelling them all for a while.
Absolutely ridiculous. Obviously I knew the items were not going to be full size, but come on, they are literally the size and width of my pinkie finger. 5 of these items for 30 dollars? Total rip off. I'm sticking to ultras extra bags. You can get. 2x or more items this size for only 10/12 dollars. And the items are otten bigger too. Don't waste your money on items whose purpose is to be free samples.
Since the end of last year ipsy has gone steadily downhill. My monthly packages are either never past the tracking number or lost. You never get decent help and then they send you leftovers which are so wrong for your profile. I would say if you are thinking of subscribing with ipsy run the other way. You are better off going to walmart.
I ordered a bag just out of curiosity and the products felt so cheap, I didn't like anything in it, I cancelled the subscription and got a free bag so why wouldn't I give it another chance, right?
I thought maybe it was just that one bag.
NOPE horrible products not even one good one, I immediately cancelled the subscription which is a long annoying process, oh but today a long later I got a email that I got charged from ipsy...
Those mf didn't even tell I was gonna get a email for cancelation conformation, oh and they don't give refunds for there $#*!ty makeup bag.
So now I'm stuck with more trash being delivered to me..
Boxycharm was amazing. And Ipsy taking over ruined it. They are charging extra for refreshments which I never authorized? What a scam
I decided to use Ipsy because I was a Boxycharm customer ….After two months, Ipsy charged me $32 for a glam bag without my permission… I never received a glam bag or any email about that purchase…
Great customer service and also good products! I always use all of the Ipsy products I get! I recommend it.
I signed up for IPSY Glam bag, and soon received an email for a promotion. The promotion stated that if I bought a yearly subscription I would receive a large gift box and 2500 points. I signed up through my outlook email which is synced with my google email. Ipsy tried to sign in through Google but I was alerted and changed my password. I wrote to them on May 14 th asking why my account stated I'd be charged 165$ on June 1, because I'd been charged on for the yearly through the promotion. I don't know what kind of scam they are running but the person who got back to me promised I wouldn't be double charged and left all kinds of reassurance.
June 1 another 165 and I immediately contacted the person I had been dealing with. Instead of answering they deleted any prior conversations about the ' reassurance.' Now I'm at the point where they will not respond, period. I reported them to the BBB, and PayPal. As of now they have taken out over 500$! I never received the promotion which is why I switched to yearly, and now they have disappeared. Don't buy anything from these people the company is. An MLN, there is no customer service and they will attempt to blame you for their mistakes.
( I took screenshots and I suggest that you do that as well because the first time I addressed the issue and the correspondence is now ' missing.' This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had w any company.
Ipsy is misleading I don't like their service the charged me for a whole year subscription without me wanting it and the don't let you remove your card unless you have another card to use it's horrible, I had my rent due today and they took 327$ out of my account even a day early, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IM SO UPSET I only had a monthly subscription and they linked the annual which is a whole Other subscription that I NEVER WANTED to my card they are misleading and the are a scam
Ipsy seems like a great option to try multiple new products but beware the customer service is beyond appalling. It's not the 1st time that my order didn't arrive but this time they had the audacity to apologize then tell me I'd get a partial refund and a few worthless points. Seriously they are charging me for items never recieved and offering minimal reimbursement. I can't even believe this is legal. Modeler, the only way to communicate is through their email on their terms and I have never gotten resolution for the screw ups on their end. So sad.

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped

Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
