Shop 'sale prices' are an outright lie. I purchased something for $50 which was supposedly reduced from $100. Minutes later found the item for $39 (regular price). So disappointing!
This company is horrible. I ordered the Pat mcgrath icon box and my 2-3items came in used/bad. When my replacements came in, one item (Huda cheeky blush) was still twisted to the top and fell out as soon as I opened it (again). My second replacement, same thing. When they said they would send another replacement that was a different brand, I told them not to send me from their cheap line that they owned (complex culture) because it is not a comparable item to the Huda blush.
Well they don't listen for anything bc they sent me the $2 cheap blush instead of the $30 blush I ordered (that they kept sending to me used/bad). This is clearly bait and switch from a higher end brand to a cheap knock off. Complex culture items are pure trash and anytime someone has issues with the higher end items they pay for, Ipsy subs them with this cheap horrible garbage.
Customer service is useless. They don't care about customers or keeping business. I will be disputing the whole charge.
You can go to Macy's, Sephora, Dillard's or ultra and get samples for free. Compared to $15 for what you get in this bag, (everything is samples in this bag) it is so not worth it. I used to get this years ago and you got a lot more in your bag and better products. I started back up again and NO! I just canceled my membership as soon as I receive this bag I will not continue to do this. Sorry but not sorry.
I was an ipsey member and their products were cheap, broke me out, and just werent really worth it. Fav. Was always the little purse. I cancelled and went with Boxy Charm a while later and like them SO MUCH BETTER! It is unfortunate that Ipsy bought them out and shut them down since they could not compete because now mostly my boxes suck again. Not really good name brands --I got MAC and other top brands when Boxy ran the show. It is a shame they did not find a way to retain the products/merchants or at least enough of them so we could continue to enjoy. I will give it a couple more boxes...but...
I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I cancelled my Ipsy subscription years ago, because I wasn't happy with the items. I subscribed to Boxycharm and loved them! Until Ipsy bought them out. I've waited months to decide if I liked the products I was receiving since Ipsy took over. And...I do not. Not only are the products pretty much thrown into a box (Boxycharm was always very nicely placed in a box), the box always seems beat up (it can always be the post office?), and the products are just meh. The products do not seem worth it, and I don't care for a lot of the (seemingly cheapie) brands. When you google individual products (as I do before choosing the 3 I want each month), it seems like they give you choices of items that have bad reviews, or aren't selling well. I'm sad that Boxycharm is not a thing anymore!
I love receiving my ipsy every month and I have had no problems with billing and if I have any problems they are very responsive.
However, the thing that does bother me about ipsy is that you can only review the products you just received. So if you use something for a little while and find there is something you really don't like about it you can't say anything. It's basically use it once leave a review and that's it. I have been disappointed with many products after a few uses but it had been too late to leave a review.
I spent almost $20 on a glam bag and when I tried to track it, they said there was no package with my information.
I would not say too much except that if you subscribe to have a lot of back and forth with customer support over missing items in your order/ getting wrong orders/ damaged products/ bad quality products. If you wish to read more reviews I would recommend reading posts on Reddit. You can read more specific complaints from people there.
I would say it's the worst customer service but I can't because there isn't ANY! Why have a phone number if you can speak to anyone?
I have signed up for one ungraded boxy charm box and only been receiving one a month. You have been billing me for 2 since April. And this is on top of the glam box. 1st of the month I have been getting billed for 2 boxy charm and 1 glam box.
This adds up to over $200 USD that you have taken from me.
I have now sent over 6 emails to their supposed "support" team.
Yes i got a small eyeshadow... The full size is 40$. A sample lipliner... The full size is 30$ so the small sizes are 20$ items. Thats how brands like that are anyway. Even full sizes arent economy large, bulk products. If u want that then spend the 15$ on drugstore makeup and buy like 2 full size things instead of 5 or 6 samples with a makeup bag. Btw, where im from paper bags are like 30¢ now so the total will be $15.30. When i felt monthly was too much i went to the button that changes options to every other month or even less. The site doesnt have much to it so navigating is easier then most sites ive been too recently. I even canceled my subscription for the last year or so. I didn't wait till the time of month they draft the bill. I forget if its beginning or end but they list it all over. I canceled right after that month was sent and my account was charged. I chatted online w them and canceled it no problem. Well there was a problem but it was my own. See i accidentally signed up w 2 accounts and i had to find the sogn in to both active to cancel one i didn't want. I cant foresee issues for anyone being responsible and proactive w accounts
Customer service refuses to make up for when it is their fault. Selecting after pay it will just charge you full amount and they don't correct it. Over priced and they scam you with things and their quality went way down after boxy charm. Better off not ever going through this hassle they are thieves
I was an IPSY customer for years when they first started out, never had a single problem. I stopped service as I lost interest in wearing cosmetics. My daughter is now a teen and has been interested in starting a subscription because I have kept all my little Ipsy bags, and a makeup YouTube watcher- she's been asking for a while. Today marked my 2nd attempt at trying to restart my subscription for her. First one was around most recent Christmas. I selected a monthly subscription, ipsy took the monthly subscription and a few hours later, took more, a lot more, like an annual subscription fee. I inquired- received a refund and let it go. Today I received an email, a promotional email from ipsy, offering a considerate gift if i reactivated my monthly subscription. The promotion email read monthly, explained monthly fees that would be taken from my account. I clicked the link to reactivate and boom, $162 was taken from my account. Why? I inquired Ipsy customer service team again, they refunded my money and cancelled the subscription all together even though I requested the difference from the monthly subscription ($13-$15) but whatever I figured I'd try manually tomorrow morning. Except I won't, because here I am trying to fall asleep at 11:00pm and got an alert from my credit card that Ipsy tried charging my account for another $162…after the customer service representative claimed they in initiated a refund just earlier today. WTH is going on with this business? Strongly recommend going elsewhere- this place has placed themselves into the sewers.
I did not receive September's bag and I was charged twice and I sent you people many messages and you never responded. The next month, October, you again charged me twice! I got the bag and closed my account immediately because you never once contacted me regarding this matter!
After years this subscription has gone to waste not only have they upped the price every year but you get the same products no matter how much you change your preferences. Don't waste your money
I purchased Ipsy because I wanted to expand my makeup knowledge and experience, so I figured receiving new products monthly would be a fun way to get into it. After having it for a few months, I can confidently say do NOT waste your money on this for yourself. I would not recommend this for anyone, except maybe as a gift to someone. First of all, the products are not personalized, AT ALL! You fill out a survey at first to let them know what products you would like to receive and which you do not want, and it's almost as if they completely ignored it because I keep getting so many items I specifically responded that I do not want at all. Not to mention, they are questionable shades that the majority of the makeup-using population would never choose. Also, you select which skin shade you are, and they will still send you a shade completely different than what you selected. The products they send are supposedly of high value, but I did some research and they are generally the lowest-sold, most unwanted items and brands that are often discounted in stores, so the value ends up not being worth it. The customer service--HORRIBLE. They do not have a phone number or email you can contact...only a FAQ page and an AI "Glam Bot" you can ask questions to... which ultimately just refers you back to the useless FAQ page.
Now the serious bone I have to pick with IPSY and why I hate them and other customer service.
My wallet was stolen so I had to cancel the credit card I was using for IPSY. When I went to update my information to my new card, they charged me for a full year of subscription! I did not confirm this transaction, and when I attempted to cancel it, they would not refund me and only canceled the renewal for next year. I tried so hard to speak with a HUMAN customer service rep, but I had no way of getting in touch with one, so I was forced to request a chargeback through my credit card company.
So bottom line...do not give them your money.
I've been talking to the bot for more than an hour. Can't reset to gain access to cancel. They stopped supporting Facebook login, which is the only way I've ever logged in and now I cannot log in. I'm mad mad!
I had the glam bag membership for 3 months each delivery contained a cheap makeup bag as part of the package. The rest of the items were sample sized and less, unsealed garbage! Then upon trying to navigate through their cancel subscription feature, I was still charged even though status was cancelled and inactive. IT IS FRAUD! A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT IN EVERY CORNER OF THIS WORTHLESS JUNK MAIL!
MAJOR SCAM! So I helped my gf out by signing up on IPSY with her referral so she can get a nice bonus item and then I cancelled the subscription so that I would only have to pay for the 1 month. Just noticed an email saying my next shipment is coming. Logged into the site to see that my subscription is still active even though I know for sure I cancelled it!

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped
Answer: We offer email support (help.ipsy.com), but if you'd prefer to call, you can leave a voicemail at (888) 769-4526 and a representative will call you back as soon as possible!
Answer: I want to cancel ipsy but my password doesnt work.
Answer: I don't want to use glam bag anymore can y'all please cancel it for me please. Thanks
Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
