First of all, I don't think intoxalocka cares what people think how they run their business. Where does the $80 fine go to that Intoxalock lot collect for when a lockout occurs?Do they profit off an imposed fine that doesn't have any ties to the courts. And then on top of that, Intoxalock will have no discussion about a lockout that's reasonable to the average person.

Scam artists

Do yourself a favor and do research before selecting a lock system. Don't sign a contract with them. Hidden fees around every corner. Customer service barely speaks clear English. If I could give negative stars, I would.

DONT DO THIS...

Extremely hard to operate, you will be charged monthly plus calibration fee plus any other fee that comes along. No one will be able to service your car or able to drive your vehicle. The test comes every 5 minutes after you started the car "called" random testing. If you have to drive 30 minutes be ready to blow in the device 5 times. Process you will have to keep your mouth on the device the entire time. You have to blow hard for 5 seconds then exhale for 5 seconds and blow again for 3 seconds without moving your mouth. If you fail, guess what you have to start over. Anyone over the age of 30 will have difficulty completing the task.

Don't reccomend

The initial agent I signed up was amazing. She sold me on this company with her customer and empathy along with a rebate. I followed directions for the rebate and NEVER RECEIVED it. I've had several issues with lack of customer service afterwards. I purchased another vehicle and needed to switch the device from one car to another and was quoted one price only to drive 2hrs and a higher fee quoted to me. Several times the device didn't prompt correctly for breathe which when I just recently calibrated my device they switched it. Now two days later I've been sitting in my vehicle for an hour unable to start it due to a device failure. Spoke to one agent name Luis who basically tells me there is nothing that can be done to aide me during my crisis. The service center is closed and that I can make an appointment with my service center on Saturday. Only for me to Google and notify my service center is closed all weekend. Have to uber home leave my brand new vehicle at my employer. Called back spoke to a different agent and was told to call back in the morning and schedule an appt for a different service center and call and have my vehicle towed to the service center. All a huge inconvenience to me the consumer. Nothing appears to be in place for the consumer in a crisis situation. I dont reccomend this company. There is no customer service department to make complaints and when you ask for a supervisor you get disconnected. This place stresses you out and the lack of empathy is heartbreaking and frustrating.

Do Not Use This Company

If I could give then zero stars I would. The device is bulky and outdated, the customer service is horrendous, and the will try to charge you for everything including the air you breath. They know they have you over a barrel and take advantage of it at every turn. Lucky I didn't sign a lease agreement with them however they are still demanding I pay an early termination fee since I switched companies. Take my advise run the other way do not use this company.

I been sober for over 19 months and took 75.00 last week from my debit card.
I contacted them prior to make a complaint as they stayed with in 36 hours they will contact me.
They never did or I knew they won't. They never did!
I'm sure they did this many others and hoping a class action take place.

I had severel issues with this device. First day I had it installed, I got a vio 3 because it didn't want to take my breath sample. Got a new battery, drained my brand new battery in a month and half. Then got it calibrated and I haven't been able to drive my car since August in about 4 months only had about a week and half worth of driving with the device. I was only supposed to have it in my car for 3 months. Now they are saying I didn't keep up with compliance because the device wasn't working. The work order for the inspection I asked for is still pending, they never sent the work order for the inspection into the service shop. On top of the shop not even filling out the paperwork correctly so I couldn't even do the compliance from the beginning, given me problems from the very start. They suck

Completely Useless

Been trying to get a refund on a tow / faulty equipment for months! Had the device die on me one day, then got it replaced at local service station. Promised a refund on the device, but they can't seem to find a date on when the device was replaced? Can't get anyone to help, typical third party calling company with people whom have no idea how to access anything within their own system. I mean come on I CALLED YOU AND YOU ISSUED ME THE REPLACEMENT. You mean to tell me they can't find that? Absolute joke.

Worst company they refer me to some grauge with a shady owner it took me about 16 days until I was finally able to use my car when it's originally supposed to take them 3+5 hrs install they installed it wrong not one but twice sent a bit to my house in the dark with a flashlight that told me he was smoking meth an it worked for him when he blew into the machine to test it so my ADHD medicine should be fine.inleabe the grauge my thermostat don't workucky I had a warranty they release parts in my xar for old parts finally after all that vjllsjut there machjnr has faiked me for alcohol violations nit once but twucr tbis week. That's $75 I've had to pay the company twice for $159 drive 45 min nearest service station and oay another 20 to reset it...I've beeb siber 3 years this pasf August., they tlkd me to wait 25 min before driving after using perfume lipstick or anything. Like wtf biggest pet peeve press #1 for English &get some argumentive foreign person you can't even understand that refuses to give you an American supervisor so I told him I'm going to rip it outta my f****** car. So they said maybe a faikty macnjne you will have to pay to test. Naw your $#*!s a joke calling better bureau Business aswel as aaeyrr Monday you $#*!ed me out of $150.00 for your company another $40 for grauge bout same in has for tbe 45 min drive. $#*! that

The Worst

This company is the absolute worst to deal with on all counts. Their customer service is non existent. No one ever answers and you then get stuck in a useless loop of useless information. The device itself malfunctions to such a degree it damage my ignition system. They are a customer service nightmare. Young, abusive and accusatory. In fact, I have been hung up on while writing this. JUVENILE behavior. The reps they use are unreliable as well and work out of shady businesses themselves. The reps do not care for the service either. I have not had this installed on 3 years and today get called about owing them. Not to mention, I was told I was being turned over to collections for a $500 product fee and questioned repeatedly how I could have removed the device without a work order. Cant imagine how a terribly run company using sketch installers could ever make a mistake…. This is not my problem when you as a company suck and then use sketch installers… this is grift!

Money grab

I had this installed in my vehicle, and on my initial ride back I started having issues with my device. I blew into it and kept reading as a missed test. Got a violation, called customer service and my service provider and the service provider who installed my device were very helpful and said I wasn't going to be charged for the first one. Took my vehicle to the shop, done.
I called customer service to report the lockout and ask for a work order and I was told I wasn't going to be charged for a lockout. A couple week past and I see I'm being charged for the lockout that occurred.
Ever since I took my vehicle back to the service center the second time,
I haven't had any issues with my device.

This company does not honor what customer service reps say. I have been waiting for an installation form to send to dmv for five weeks, while I am paying for the device and car insurance but can't drive. Every rep says 3-5 business days and are dishonest. I have been waiting for 5 weeks and have called them every week. Customer service is based out of India, difficult to understand, dishonest and dont care. The CEO Kathy Holland does not operate a reputable company. Please delve into actual reviews instead of the five stars advertised on the website. Choose another company. Intoxalock is making money daily while I wait for their form to send to the DMV. I wish a rating of zero was available.

As of today I was finally able to remove this horrible company's device from my car. Because of them I have been through 7 batteries and over 15 lock outs. They have cost me easily 5thousand dollars more in fees from lock outs and batteries then I was already paying. Everytime this happens your license gets suspended so also have fun on paying for that as well. Last time it killed my battery I could not afford the 290 dollar new battery again so while it was off they t i d to charge my account over 3300 dollars and considered their device stolen. And yes when I say killed my battery I mean O'Reilly's and myself couldn't get it to hold a charge again. This would kill my battery in less than 8 hours of not driving and I would have to constantly jump my vehicle in the mornings. I had 3 different mechanics tell me it was their device and not an electrical issue. Also Everytime you report vehicle maintenance it doesn't matter. They will still lock you out every time you take it to a shop and they have to unhook your battery. On top of all of this they use a call center from India with not a single effer that speaks English and they have no idea what they are doing or how to help you in anyway. They also never log your calls or info and they will transfer you more then 5 or 6 times over the course of hours to get you to give up. I finally pulled the device out of my vehicle after they wanted another 600 dollars after charging me thousands and let my bank know. The bank reported it as fraud and I was able to get my money back after talking to the judge at my court, reporting them to Washington State patrol, as well as the DOL, and my attorney. I have contacted the wa state attorney general as well as a lawyer from Chicago that already had a lawsuit with them and I will stop at NOTHING to get those company shut down after receiving a huge settlement from an injury. It is my only mission in life now. If I can get the call center shut down that would be a huge plus as well. But I want actual criminal prosecution. These owners all deserve jail time.

Do not use this company it's $#*! I blow more than I drive almost wrecked few times because I refuse to keep pulling over every 5 minute its ridiculous even my missouri highway patrol examinaer that gave me my driver rest said that's totally unsafe and was dumbfounded I has to blow 4 times on my 2 mile driver test! And best of all customer service, if u can understand them don't care. Jus want their money!

Worst POS on EARTH

If the device senses ANY ALCOHOL FROM ANYWHERE it charges $80 and locks you out, also it drains the battery, but if the battery dies they charge you $80 and locks you out. If you don't drive the car, $80 charge and lock-out. Terrible in your car, EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE IS INCOMPETENT. "Supervisors" are horrible people. Strictly a cash grab. Does nothing to deture influenced driving. Perfectly able to do any drug on earth in mass amounts while driving with this device and it will not make a peep. You can drink as mong as you can afford the $80 charges. Worthless, POS.

This is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. First they tried not to honor the coupon I had and now every time i try to download a copy of the lease it says "PDF failed to load" I've had the lease emailed to me, tried to download it from the website on my computer, and tried to get it from the intoxalock app on my phone. There is a problem with the document on every device, and every application i try to open it on. I tried just uploading it to the DMV directly and it gave an error saying there was a problem with the document. Intoxalock will not accept that the problem is with their document and they keep saying the problem is mine. Theres no way I can request my interlock license now because of this horrible company. Trying to get support for this has been a nightmare. They just keep putting me back on hold over and over

Violations

Has has problems with not being told all the violations that come with this device before you take it home because I was told about none of them and if anybody else is having the same problems I'd like you to comment because I'd like to get a petition going stating that these devices are being handed out without permission or instructions on purpose so they can collect money. Does anybody else think that it should be illegal for them to give you this device without teaching you about all the violations first because every violation causes you to pay money and if you do not have money like me then it leaves you without a car or being able to even get the device for quite a while.

They wouldn't even get a one if I had an option. They have charged me for three lockouts they said I failed to blow or turned the keys on to soon when all I did was go into the gas station to pea and came back out one minute later and if I failed to blow I would have five minutes they are liers they know we have to have those machines in our car so our hands are tied so they prey on us it's not right at all I haven't even drink in three years and still dealing with crap from it what a headache
