I placed and order which they agreed to ship Federal Express to my home. I explained that my driveway is 1/4 mile long and uphill and that a large truck would not be able to make delivery. Without consulting me, In The Swim shipped my item using a trucking company which only has tractor-trailers and which told me that they will only deliver to the bottom of my driveway. When I complained, the first customer service person told me "it's shipped and we cannot do anything." A supervisor did a little better, but this was merely snatching defeat out of the doors of disaster. It seems I will have to have the truck deliver to another location, and to load the items into my car and drive them to my home - all of which could have been avoided if the person who took my order and my money had been more knowledgeable and/or truthful. I'm giving one start because that is the lowest rating available. If I could give a negative rating, I would gladly do so.
Got 1 out of 6 items correct. Items don't show up, or arrive broken. The broken one had been returned to them because it was broke and it even included the note from previous buyer. They just labeled it up and shipped it to us. not worth the trouble too many other good companys out there
Their customer service sucks been trying to get a replacement product since May and it is Sept now, I won't be using them more no more and wouldn't advise anybody else to
I ordered a $3k slide on 7/1/20. The website said, "Usually ships within 15 days." I received zero communication from In the Swim. I called them on 8/13,8/19 and 8/28 and also chatted with the Facebook manager. Each time I got a different answer: it will ship 8/24,7-10 days, 9/21,100 days. Ultimately, I cancelled my order at the advisement of In the Swim. To make matters worse, their website showed the item as In Stock as the supervisor was telling me that they don't know when the slide will be available again. To date, I have not received my refund from In the Swim. However, I did order the exact same slide from Pool Supply Unlimited. They literally shipped it the next day with no problems. In the Swim needs a serious lesson in inventory management, communication with their manufacturers and communication with their customers. I will not be doing business with In the Swim in the future.
I bought a new filter and sand for the filter on August 9th. I received all except 1 50 lb bag of sand, without that sand I could not install my new filter. Three different customer service representatives tole me they would reship - 17 days later still no sand. Today I requested a refund they told me they would let me know in a few days. Three customer service representatives refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Finally someone put me through to a supervisor that was rude, told me it wasn't their fault and refused to send me an email stating they would refund my money. Don't buy from this company if you actually want to receive products you pay for.
Jacqueline is the best. I always use in the swim when i need something. Jacqueline went above and really took care of me. Ive always been satisfied.
I have spent thousands with these people over the years and they have lost a customer over a $20 item.
They sent the wrong item 3 weeks ago and I have been trying to get a return label ever since to send back their mistake because they will not send the correct item till they receive the wrong item back a fitting worth about $3. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever seen!
Had to replace the old solar cover (8mil) after 2 seasons... waited until the covers of 12-16mil were available and bought the 16mil. It arrived in 2 days from the time we ordered and placed on the pool (24 foot round). It only took 2 days of sunshine to raise the water temperature to 82 degrees. Used the pool, put the cover back on, and instead of the temp dropping, it raised another 2 degrees to 84. I like bath water - at 73 years young, I don't need a shock to my system by stepping into ice-water. This solar cover, in-spite of its weight, is awesome. Besides, the pool company that opens/closes our pool has to remove, fold, and store the cover for me. The cut of the solar cover is a bit larger than 24 foot round, we think it is about 25 foot but no worry, we keep one area sitting on the walkaround deck. We may/may not trim it down as the extra length came in handy with the last thunderstorm. We were able to use the leaf collector to pull the tree branches towards us to toss off the pool. Otherwise, they would have been at the bottom of the pool - Ugh!
Thay bild my card and a week later thay sand me a Gmail that it's out of stock and thay naver returnt the money even after I called and canceled the order
I rarely leave negative reviews - this company had an item showing in stock that indeed wasn't. Three weeks later I am notified it's not in stock. This item was a pool vacuum that we were waiting on to be able to use our pool during the prime month of July. It's now been nearly 3 weeks since being notified and I've yet to receive my $358 refund. Two different customer service reps told me to expect it in 7-10 days on July 20th and I just spoke today and was told it hadn't been processed yet and she'll contact the manager to expedite the refund. When i kindly explained my disappointment that it hasn't been processed yet and that I've been receiving a runaround I was met with just a "have a good day" and a click.
Safe to say I will not be ordering again and am disputing the transaction on my credit card at this point.
12' x 24' OVAL Economy Above ground Swimming Pool Winter Cover 8 Yr. Warranty
The cover broke down in a week and has contaminated my pool with carcinogenic tiny pieces of plastic. The pieces covered all swimmers, clogged my pump and filters. I am back and forth with the seller and the manufacturer and no one will take responsibility. DO NOT BUY
Item show instock but when contacting company to clarify shipping time they said they "should" be getting stock soon so they are trying to build orders on items they do not have yet as if they have them instock
Ordered a 16x48 pool because the customer service rep said it was in stock. Received a confirmation email the next afternoon, I was suppose to receive it within 10 to 14 days. When I called within a week to check the status of the order they stated it was back ordered and I will receive it in September. Right then and there I cancelled the order, not only I wasn't able to speak with a supervisor every time I called but I had to call 3 times just to get the order cancelled. They're crooks stay away from this company by all means.
I purchased a pump/filter combo the first week of july. A week later, my package arrives. No pump. Just filter. I called customer service and told them my problem. They asked for a pic of the missing part... um...? I sent a pic of the filter and empty box. I was then told 'we will get this taken care of asap.' 4 business days later, i called to get an update. Im glad i did. I was asked if i shipped the filter back yet. I explained no one told me to send the filter back... and why would i bc it is half of my order. Then i was told that intheswim had sent me a return shipping label... they had not. On 7/14 i was told that they would send me a return label within 72 hours... im supposed to ship my filter back... so they can ship me the same filter and a pump. Not sure why i have to wait 72 hrs or a label. Its been 36 hrs so far... and nothing.
Im glad i had a cheapo spare pump. If i did not, my pool would be green bc of intheswim's mistake and questionable customer service. Not what i expected after dropping over $600.
Tried to buy filter, CCP520, on their eBay site. Shows in stock, but never received tracking. Contacted right away to find out shipping details. No communication! After 3 messages, someone replied in messaging and said the item is Not in stock! And that I should cancel the order. After sending 2 replies back and forth. I requested they update their "in stock" availability - at the time 6 in stock. They never changed the status.

Absolutely the worst company ever. Ordered an expensive ladder. It came with a missing part. I called immediately upon delivery. Rep said missing part from was submitted and request would be expedited. Received an email confirming and advising to call back on July 8th. Called back 3 times. No help. Called back next day and was told I would have to wait another 72 hours for form to process and another 3 to 5 days for part.
They do not have a return policy for anything that has been used for any reason! Stay away! I ordered an island float and it does not work if all the people floating are not the same weight. When is that ever going to happen?!
I received a quality product but had to wait almost 2 weeks for delivery. I contacted them 3 different times, spoke to 3 different people and received 3 different answers. They advertise quick delivery on their website but I wouldn't bank on it. I was charged a handling fee on an item they didn't even ship. It was drop shipped from the manufacturer. I could have paid a few dollars more on at another site or Amazon and have it in 2 days. Your choice and money, just my opinion.
We were looking for a pool for the summer and we found one that was "in stock" and they said it would come in 3-10 buisness days. Then, they said it would come about a month later. It never did and we canceled our order, because at that poiny we knew it was never really in stock. But getting the money back was the most annoying part. One of the employees said the company had to "approve" our cancelation and it would take 3-10 buisness days to get back. We are still waiting for the money and we had to call the bank. Worst experience ever. All five of my kids were very dissapointed. Never to use again. Just a web of lies
