Disabled account
January 22, 2021

First time using indeed as an employer and my account was disabled within 24 hours without explanation. The appeal returned nothing but copy-paste responses.
Seems to be a common problem for small business owners on this platform.

I've been using indeed for the day I paid for it... everything went great started to build our remote team as I was instructed by my executive... I got 7 viable employees already and the suddenly they disable the account, no reason, nothing... I was sticking to the rules... I've checked everything please help indeed love your platform can I use it please.

So I have a computer company in South Africa and was looking for a receptionist or admin worker. I posted thr job and a few hours later got banned. I literally took a proper job description template and adjusted it to suit my business. I am extremely confused. I didnt even ask for a specific gender or anything which I understand would be a problem in South Africa as a lot of women can be easily taken advantage of.

Edit: So it turns out it is part of their process for new users to verify their account. Was assisted surprisingly fast. Thanks

Hi Team... Good evening.

This is Nelson from India (Chennai), I am a HR recruiter for my company. Effective last week my account has been deactivated due to I haven't followed certain Indeed job posting guidelines. If there is any mistake then the concern team would have informed or updated in advance, so that we could have rectified it.

But again today l have posted a job in indeed with new employer account. Within a fraction on minutes again I got the same message that the account has been disabled.

I am a recruiter of a reputed company I made account on indeed and they disabled my account for no reason. After that again I use another mail for posting jobs and after 1 month they did the same thing. So much wastage of time.

I am a recruiter and support specialist of a small consulting company providing marketing and business management services to our clients. Other company members include CEO, Web developer, HR Manager, Marketing executives, etc. I am urgently hiring for a Marketing Assistant to join us immediately.

I don't know why my employer account is disabled. My company email was verified at the beginning. I am happy to verify it again if needed. If it is because of the website, the website is still under construction and will be live soon. I have also added the link to the Facebook page (https://facebook.com/Marketable-Growth-Inc**************) for your reference. If there is anything wrong with the job listing, please let me know. I am happy to edit it.

I submitted an appeal but received an automated rejection email without any details. I kindly request you to enable my account. As I mentioned earlier, this is an urgent requirement. I believe Indeed is the best platform to help us find the right candidate. Thank you.

Disabled account

Indeed disabled our account out of the blue after a new job posting for a massage therapist needed for the head of the ministry, a gospel artist who has bad back and neck pain.

We are a small independent ministry working with social media and the music industry. We also have a new start up food business to support the ministry in the works.

We've been using Indeed for well over a year. We wonder what the reason is - if it's either something we did wrong that isn't clear or even in the guidelines or whether it's religious discrimination that could be increasing currently with staff at Indeed like it is at other social media and tech companies.

Indeed is set up to strong favor large employers. As a small employer, I would put through the ringer as they turned me down for placing an ad for an employee. After their website demanded information that only a large employer would have, I thought the ad was final posted, but then found it was not. There never notified me that they were not posting it. So I had to call them several times and have them not believe that I am a real person with a real job to offer. Small employers are treated badly by the company policies.

Business owners should not use indeed
December 28, 2020

My employer account was disabled for no reason. Tried to make a new account with a new position and that was disabled as well. They give you an option to appeal, but they don't consider what you have to stay. Small businesses should avoid indeed.

I am a small business, I was looking to hire 2 apprentices. Indeed disabled my account. They gave me a chance to appeal and then sent me a standard email about me being a pyramid scheme.

I set up a different account, with a different apprentice role. They disabled my account with the same standard email about being a pyramid scheme. The second time I sent more information and broke down my business. They still rejected it.

This has wasted much time, but what's worse is they never investigated anything.

DISABLED ACCOUNT
December 17, 2020

Over the past couple of months it has been a struggle going back and forth with indeed. They keep disabling our business account in less than 24 hours. I have followed the same process for long as I have been making use of Indeed, I need answers, there is no response it has been a waiting game. It is so disappointing considering we have been making use of their site for years. Why is my account being disabled every single time. I have appealed so many times but nothing.

Indeed suspended my account while I was interviewing candidates. I tried many times to get it back, I sent them all the needed documents but did not solve the problem... I do not recommend it to anyone.

I have spent thousands of dollars on indeed to hire new employees. Indeed has disabled my account numerous times with a statement that does not even tell us why they disabled our account. This time when my account was disabled we had over 300 people apply to our position. All of these candidates that are looking for a position with our company have not been contacted by us because they disabled our account and will not let us have access to those candidates. This is very unprofessional for us and our business. I am requesting my money back that I paid for the candidates of $832 or give me access to the candidates that had applied to our position. I just cannot believe that a company can operate a business like this. They are very unprofessional.

A joke of a website

I don't feel that indeed truly connects employers and employees. I don't know how anyone uses this website with success. The tests are ridiculous. The employers are charged an insane amount of money. The whole thing is ridiculous. And now it seems to be monopolizing the job-seeking market.

This website will delete, bad reviews for companies. When companies scam, rip off or don't pay their employees and reviews with reports of injuries. It's reviewing system is garbage it is talked about within its community forums, on reddit and other websites along these lines. Honestly, Indeed should be held accountable if a worker dies due it's decision unethical deletion of reviews, especially in dangerous jobs. A future employee deserves the right to know the good and bad stories of a company and definitely with in the dangerous jobs. Take screenshots of your reviews and post them In a subreddit, time to hold indeed accountable for future injuries that may occur because it protects companies with bad safety records and poor management. Be very careful and cautious when choosing jobs with good reviews... They probably been protected by indeed and the bot reviews were aloud to stay...

I have been using Indeed to cap recruit employees for almost two years. I have spent thousands with Indeed and all of a sudden they have disabled my account without explanation. Despite that I am a legitimate business and have been using a similar job posting format each time I post, since the initial list I made with them. I am truly disappointed and ashamed to say I have been affiliated with a company that treats business owners this way, especially during the difficult time we are all facing due tithe state of affairs in the U.S. their way of business is atrocious.

One day I got a message from Indeed that my account is blocked and no further discussion is possible. I am disappointed as we have been working with Indeed for one year already and hired a lot of candidates. What went wrong with Indeed? Why you do not talk to your clients and just send a simple bot reply? Unprofessionally :(
