I just wish there would be features so I can make a difference in them like trim, crop, text, effects on my own.
This was such a rewarding experience to have our very old DVD tapes saved and made into digital format. It did take me some time to get familiar with the web site and downloading was frustrating at times but I am challenged when it comes to computers. I would definitely recommend iMemories. Thank you for giving me back the memories.

It took a few phone calls to clarify what I wanted... a USB drive and DVD's as a back up. Received my slides back, received all kinds of emails advising they are "on line" but no USB nor DVD. Added $$$$ and more delay but FINALLY got those (at about $60 additional!) and was THEN very pleased.
My intent is to do ALL my slides this way.

Sent them 12 Hi8 tapes twice. First time: Titles were jumbled on DVDs made. After much convincing, they remade the DVDs correctly. Second time: I downloaded the digital conversions. Many of the 2 hour videos were only converted for 3-4 minutes and cutoff. My original Hi8 camcorder died, so I'm buying a new one to verify length of tapes before contacting iMemories. OK, iMemories contacted me and went through a different way to download which would include all "chapters" on each tape. The download prompt while watching a "chapter" would only download that chapter. I think more instructions online would be helpful to avoid this confusion. Anyway, I now have my long awaited memories to enjoy. Thank you Amy in customer service!
The process was super easy, reasonably priced and just a few weeks ok later, I have all of the videos that I hadn't seen since we owned a VCR back. I love it!
Don't work. Waste of money. Sorry. I wanted these to be able to see on my smart tv. I thought also that I could edit the films. I wanted them for Christmas gifts. I am in my mid 80s and thought it would be so easy. It wasnt.
Very dissatisfied. Videos turned out terrible, and portions were cut off. Waste of $100. Will not be using them again.
I am so happy to have all the taped memories of my daughter from 1997 to 2004. I watched them all within a week and laughed and cried. They all have great visual quality and sound. Downloading was simple and I can easily share the files with others.
My father recently died and I inherited all of my parents' home movies, which were on VHS tape. They were in poor quality so I decided that I needed to move them to a better medium than VHS, before they eroded past visibility. I decided to also send in my family's 8mm cassette movies, as it was a hassle to have to hook up the camera to the computer or TV to watch them. I am so thrilled at how they came out! The digital files were easy to view online and download to my laptop, and I was able to edit them with information about the subjects. The price was reasonable, and the process was very easy. I would highly recommend this service.

Priceless! To hear my grandmother talking to me and us laughing. My nursing graduation! My adult boys have enjoyed videos of their "life". I could go on and on.
