I know i was more nervous about the beginning of this experience than they were - but when i recieved the home movies in my email and watched i was pleased - though i thought i would have received a hard dvd of my movies when they shipped back the orginals - i do have the storage package with them and will try to figure away on my own to burn some dvd's for my family members even if it means getting an external dvd/cd componant for my laptop.
The digitizing of my VCR tapes was a good experience. I have yet to do any editing & have them transferred to DVD. Breast cancer snuck up on me so until I'm feeling well enough to do some edit & cut I will be purchasing a monthly membership.
So far so good! Great to see these old videos.
The downloading to my computer and then to an external hard drive takes a very long time. Could be it internet service but that's a little frustrating

I am sooo glad I finally did this! I have had these for many years. When I found i memories I knew now was the time. I couldn't figure out the cost, but they were willing to work with me on that. Letting me only do part of the order at a time. My family has really enjoyed watching the films. One film was not able to be seen so they reimbursed me. I love it!
The VHS tapes and photo slides conversions were good but I got practically nothing off 2 reels of 8mm movie film. Having the digital downloads is a nice feature. The disc I bought was shipped quickly and all my items were returned safely as promised.
Send a lot of old videos to digitalize. My kids have had a great time watching them!
Thank you IMemories! I couldn't be more happy. My father passed away last year and these videos are so nice to have to be able to reminiss, hear his voice and laugh, and see him. I am so glad he recorded vacations and family moments, (even though I probably didn't like it when I was kid lol) I'm so grateful to have these and will cherish then forever! I had these VCR videos since my kids were born and now my wife gets Alzheimer so I need them and me to remember her mom as she really is.
Now I can see it on my PC.
Most of the videos were of my daughter from the time she was a baby through jr. High. The 8mm were from the 50's and 60's of my family and childhood.
It is so nice to be able to share these with my siblings who are living far from each other. I am so happy to be able to be able to dounload them and keep

I had 40 old Hi 8 tapes of my kids growing up and family gatherings. I could never find the time to convert the tapes to a digital format even though I have the equipment to do so. My daughter suggested that we transfer the tapes as a birthday gift. We decided to use iMemories because they were less expensive than the competition. They did exactly what they said they would do. They sent us a box with return postage and we sent off our cherished memories. Within a few weeks, they started posting our tapes in digital format for downloading. The process was straight forward and the files were easy to download. I now have my 30 year old tapes in a format that are not going to deteriorate over time. I can now share copies of them with all of my kids. Within a few weeks after receiving my files, they returned the original tapes in good shape. Highly recommended.
I converted two very old 16mm film reels to digital and had DVD made, all through IMemories. They did an excellent job, including taking extra care to adjust lighting in one very faded sequence. I recommend them highly. This is the third or fourth time I have used IMemories and always had outstanding results.
I am so happy I decided to use this service. I considered other options, but I am very pleased with iMemories! They made the process so simple and I even received personal emails from customer service, both answering my questions and just making sure I received my orders. 10/10 recommend.
Love having my videos digitized! I had about 30 videos and about 28 of them turned out perfect. However, with two of them the sound was 30 seconds ahead of what the video was displaying. A little annoying but overall I am very happy with the decision to digitize!
A bit pricey, but how do you put a price on being able to see and share videos and pictures of your loved ones who have passed away.
