Thank you iMemories for converting our old VHS home movies! My family is greatly impressed and happy to be able to share the digital movies. My only issue is that I wish the videos were clipped at the end of a date/event. There are videos I would like to share with others but the clip runs into another event that does not pertain to them, so I can't share all the events like I would like to. Other than that, we love our digital movies!
The family has enjoyed seeing these old movies so much! My Dad, who passed 8 years ago, is the primary narrator so that's been so special for me to hear his voice!
I packed up slides in several bundles, labeled the bundles and sent them in to see how well they would be digitalized.
All of them appeared on the cloud labeled in the same categories I used. It was a joy seeing them again after so many years and I sent some of the the photos as attachments to friends. IMemories passed my test with flying colors on the first batch of about 110 slides and old black and white photos I sent.
I have close to a thousand more slides that I will be sorting and labeling in preparation for requesting another shipping kit from iMemories. They have not dsappointed and I will be using them to store our memories. As long as you label your material and pack it accordingly, you should be satisfied with the results, as we were.
Pictures are great. I was disappointed with some of the videos. I did not expect to see the lines running through them. I thought with today's technology they would have been able to get rid of the lines but that was mot the case so don't expect it. Whatever your video looks like is what the digital copy looks like. Not improved as they said. Also you have to continue to pay out more money if you want to continue to see your digital copy. You can't just download to your photo stick. It costs another $99 to have that done. Cloud storage is a monthly fee or yearly which is cheaper. Seems like a good deal at first but it is expensive since you have to pay more money after the initial $500+ we paid to have them digitized. Just wish the company was transparent about the true costs.
Based on the fact that the films/photos, that I finally found, were created over 60 years ago and not stored under ideal conditions I was not too optimistic about how the results would be. In spite of the age and storage factors, I think iMemories did an excellent job of salvaging, converting, and producing fine products.
My videos were available in a very timely manner! It's super exciting to see these ooooooold videos! So glad to have them available to watch at anytime now!

I now can view them digitally on my smart phone, tablet, or laptop whenever I want. This was a project I dreaded starting, but iMemories made it more efficient. When I figured out the costs of my buying a scanner and my time to do the scanning, iMemories made more sense!
IMemories quality of work, easy to use website & library, and speed of service has been a very happy surprise for me. I've been thinking for a long time that I want to get all my old photos and tapes digitized but not quite sure how or where to start. I'm 83, I finally got it done, well, most of it and I am so relieved! My children and grandchildren can see Papa G with dark hair! Seriously, I couldn't be happier and now my wife and I smile at each other, we ""got-er done"!
Very Good. I was a little disappointed with some of the older movies. So dark you couldn't make out what you were looking at. But they were just that,,, Old Videos. Overall I got them saved on a computer and thumb drive so I don't need to store these VHS cartridges anymore.
7 seconds converted of a half hour tape. Then 2 more denied due to "copyright." Yeah. It's MY COPYRIGHT! Tapes need to be sent back. A totally amateur experience by people who are not checking (or don't care about) the DETAILS.

Easy initial box for packing everything up, and then a relatively timely process for transferring from slides to photos online. Only recommendation would be to extend the online storage for more than just a few weeks, as many seniors are not computer capable and it does require time to view and determine things.
It took me months to make the decision to ship our precious tapes to iMemories for digitation. I was very concerned about shipping out original copies of tapes and the possibility of them being lost, damaged, or other considerations. I called the iMemories customer service and voiced my concerns and after the kindness and reassurance I received, I finally made the decision to take advantage of an iMemories coupon code. I was still hesitant, however I am so glad that I did! My husband and I have spent hours online viewing videos from when our 4 adult children were young. We have been able to see family members and friends that are no longer with us; crying a few tears of sadness but mostly tears of JOY! We have relived so many beautiful memories. Having these videos available to us means more than anything in the world!
I am planning on purchasing a thumb drive of the the videos for each of our children for Christmas and look forward to watching We are looking forward to watching the videos together, sharing these precious memories together.
