While the final digitized product has met my every expectation, the customer service provided by iMemories is absolutely second to none.
We found some old family VHS tapes that were 20-25 years old (one including our wedding photos) and sent them in for digitalizing. What I did not realize was that the quality of the final product would be rather limited due to degradation of the originals. So iMemories did a great job of file conversion its just that the final product was not as good as I had hoped it would be. The pictures were rather blurry and fuzzy from the wedding album (again they were 25 years old on a VHS tape that was not stored in a preservation style.) I am still happy we did the file conversions as the videos and photos would be lost to us otherwise, but just wished they had turned out better. Again not the fault of iMemories but something to consider before making the investment in file conversion for your personal memories. It can be a bit expensive. They were having an awesome 50% off sale when we did our conversions and it was a fair price for the service. I would recommend them highly if you require this type of service, just with the caveat that you will only get the best results that the technology can create, in our case not what we were hoping for but understandable. The shipping was very professional and items were extremely well packaged. They even included a coupon for another 50% off a new order, can't complain at all about how well done the company is as far as handling and customer service. I will definitely use them again in the future.
I had no idea of what was on some of the videos I sent. Sure a wonderful surprise to see a rare old video of my great grandmother.
You have a good marketing plan. The pricing was extremely high. It was easy to track the order.
The product is fine. The fact that you charge you monthly service fee to store the materials is crazy.
Its not like you aren't charging enough up front-you have to get more! I have lots of these old movies to get developed and you are forcing me to shop around. So Imemories can be described in one word-Meh!
I sent for the kit and got it without a problem. Then I could view the photos online, but I still haven't received the originals back. You want me to pay you more money for me to get them back? Your site is not user friendly and very confusing as to what the next steps are. I would not recommend using this service to anyone.
